Like...wow. I never thought I would see a mood board made in honour of our guilty little pleasure series. You’ve touched my heart. And kind of freaked me out, because my wife coincidentally asked me if I wanted to resume our the series over the weekend and we’ve cranked out another 4500 words since Saturday. I’m going to make a vow to you to have the next chapter out by December 31st, if not sooner. The big reveal is coming up, and I’m dying to spill the beans on Echidna already.

...My wife is giving me a look right now like I shouldn’t be making any promises, but I’m just going to chase her down and kiss her within an inch of her life until she agrees to get back to it. My methods always work. Trust me.

Ren’s been with the First Order for almost two years now and has made it his solemn duty to drive his co-commander up the wall whenever the opportunity presents itself. For the most part, Ren’s thoroughly enjoying this unspoken game between them, although he has serious doubts Hux feels the same way. In fact, Ren might’ve taken this whole thing a step too far when he spontaneously decides to follow Hux on his annual visit to a totalitarian planet, where the General usually negotiates with the industrial magnate Jorde Layn for the latest technology. Not only is Layn a clever, handsome, and disgustingly charming individual, but he also has the necessary intellect and wit to banter with Hux in a way that sounds suspiciously as though they deeply respect each other. In fact, it almost sounds as though they’re flirting…Ren obviously needs to do something to remedy this situation.

[TLDR: Ren’s a stupid, jealous, entitled brat who lets his dick drag him into the worst kind of trouble. As mortified as Hux is, he somehow manages.]

Every time you make a public appearance, Harry loses track of the ‘cure’ and starts modeling a new weapon to combat you. Maybe if you came close to losing every once in a while, he’d be able to focus on what really matters.

Ficlet: A Cautionary Christmas Tale

As narrated from Harry’s perspective...

The mistletoe is, at first, hung obnoxiously in the middle of every doorway on the lowest sublevel of STAR Labs. It only appears after-hours, when all of Harry’s employees are gone, so he knows almost immediately who the culprit is. And as easy as it would be to just stand there and wait for Jay to come up with yet another creative way to steal a kiss, Harry feels like making him work for it this time.

So he avoids the mistletoe.

He also avoids kissing Jay on the lips for three days.

Which is easier said than done. There’s only so much coitus a guy can get from his significant other  without taking a moment to exchange a proper kiss or two. Nips on the neck and jawbone just rile them up; they never satisfy. Thankfully, though, Jay isn’t stupid. The epiphany he gets when he cottons on to Harry’s silent battle shines like the light of a thousand suns in his eyes one frisky evening. It says, plain as day, ‘Challenge accepted’.

Jay ups his mistletoe game and suddenly it’s like playing War in his own home. Harry has to edge his way carefully around each corner, forever eyeing the ceiling for signs of greenery. He takes to carrying his blaster around whenever he wanders down to the Cortex, having been forced on more than one occasion to shoot down a fresh sprig placed well above his reach. Scares the hell out of Jesse one night, but she’s learned well enough by now not to ask any questions. She’s at that wonderful age where she neither needs nor wants to know any of the details.

Harry starts getting bored with their game by the seventh day.

Or rather, Jay finally takes to rebuffing all of Harry’s advances with a smirk. He also only initiates any of his own advances by leaning in for a proper kiss. Harry gets the message loud and clear.

No kiss equates no fun time in the bedroom. Period.

By the ninth day, Harry decides to swallow his pride. When he sees a new sprig of mistletoe hanging in the middle of the Cortex, he walks directly under it and waits. But he doesn’t wait long.

A hand curls coyly over his shoulder and spins him around.

Harry is subsequently dipped and kissed at just a tick below breakneck speed. He’s consciously aware of the taste of peppermint before he’s straightened up again.

Hunter winks at him and runs away.

Harry can feel his blood boiling in his veins.

And Jay has no idea why he extends their dry run to New Years Eve.

You mean you wouldn’t sell your soul to get Teddy back on the show? How shameful.

“With the cancellation of 24: Legacy, Teddy Sears is now available. We he find his way back to The Flash in a new version of Hunter Zolomon?”

I guess news about this came out all the way back in April and June, but I was in a weird headspace this spring/summer, so it completely flew over my head. 

There’s a possibility that Teddy might return as Earth-1 Hunter Zolomon on the Flash, which is something else I forgot to add to my crazy little wishlist. He’s supposed to be Wally’s friend and eventual archenemy in the comics, so it would be nice to see him back on the show and somehow building a relationship with the Wally we’ve come to know and love. Since Earth-2 Hunter kind of already tormented the poor kid in season 2, Earth-1 Hunter doesn’t necessarily have to become a villain. But, you know, it would still be a nice nod to the comics…

One of the other possibilities the article addresses is the Earth-19 Hunter Zolomon being the Accelerated Man. Sean Poague played the part last season, but the show was careful to keep his face wrapped up. If Poague is tied up with other business, Teddy could potentially take over his role on the show.

Anyway, that’s just a little food for thought. I know Teddy misses being on the show and that he and the rest of the cast had a great time together. Also, it would be nice to see Harry being inexcusably annoyed with someone again now that he and Cisco are on friendlier terms. Annoyed!Harry is the absolute best.
