@staceymaltin @bestiesmakemovies: Why did you decide to get into this industry? I've been acting since I was a little kid - my first show was playing a little boy in the musical Oliver! Strangely, that was not my last time getting cast as a little boy. It became very clear to me when I was at NYU drama school that I wanted to be a part of deciding which stories get told and I started producing theater. I got very into film when I was living in Tel Aviv and started writing and directing films. Storytelling to me is everything. It was amazing being nominated for Best Actress for my role as Lily in Slice at @brooklynwebfest, premiering Landing Up (#LandingUpFilm) at @DancesWithFilms and then getting a Best Feature nomination for it at @SOHOFilmFestival. as long as I can remember. I have always been fascinated with actors. I’m pretty determined and competitive so when I put my mind to it, I can achieve anything. What do you collect, if anything? Stories. Dialogue. Experiences. Strange bits and pieces from real life that I’m convinced will end up in scripts someday. I use voice memos on my phone, notes on my computer, a scrap of paper in my purse… anything. @danenemontella: What is a successful moment in your career so far? The most successful career moment that I’ve had so far is definitely the feeling of purpose that has come along with co-writing, producing and starring in CLUB RAT$ – a #TIMESUP short film about a vigilante girl gang who goes club hopping to target predatory men and teach them a lesson they’ll never forget. When my writing partner and friend @jamiethemiller and I first set out to create this project, we didn’t know how much of a positive impact it would have on the lives of others. On March 25th, 2018 our team, including @tylerhampong of @ktpproductions and director @jeniannejones, held a Private Benefit Screening for RAINN @rainn01 to raise funds for survivors of sexual assault. We raised over $800 that night, which was well over 100% of our goal. And right now, our film fundraiser is at $1,117! Since I can remember, I've practiced some art - dance, theatre, music, poetry, martial arts, etc. In grade school I had my 1st paid job - dancing with the Joffrey Ballet. Dream job! I directed my 1st play before I was an adult. I’ve always listened to a little voice inside saying, "Jeni, you must dance!
