Hanging out at the usual spot. (Open!)
Oh man, what day was it again? What time was it? Riku had been sick almost all week, so he had kind of lost track of time. His tired eyes slowly opened as he yawned and stretched out his arms. He lazily flopped out of his bed and quickly examined his clock. It was Saturday the 22nd of October. Only 9 days away from one of his favourite seasons, the one and only Halloween. Wow, he must have really been out of it for days, being Saturday already. He also realized it was approaching dinner time, so he decided that he would just forget about breakfast. He threw on his usual clothes, and ran out the door.
As usual, Riku decided that he was going to go to his absolute favourite place in all of Komoriya. The clock tower. But first, he was going to go and get some ice cream. He quickly ran to the store to buy some ice cream, and then headed up to his favourite place at the clock tower, just below the actual clock. He sat down and took a bite out of his ice cream. He looked up at the sky. "Man, I really must have been out of it for days. I wonder how everyone's doing? Hell, you sure can miss a lot when you're only away for a week I guess."
When he was up here alone, no matter what mood he was in, for some reason he would always remember things. The dark memories. The memories that would never leave him alone. A taunting past where Riku was under the control of Ansem. Even with Ansem's power on his side, he still wasn't able to beat Sora. There was always a place in his heart where he felt jealous of Sora. He was able to cope with all of this much easier than Riku could. The jealousy and dark memories lead to a chain of memories from his past, one dark after another, flowing in.
He quickly fell to his knees, holding his head as the memories kept on gushing through. It was a lot of pain to deal with. As he grabbed his head, his ice cream slipped out of his hands and fell right off the clock tower, splattering all over the ground below. And just like that, he collapsed, and right near the edge. If he were any closer, he would fall clean off the tower. He hadn't felt this kind of pain in so long...
