I... I need to rant-vent. Does anyone else feel like Optimus Prime was lying at the end of the film when he was giving his speech? Lying to me, lying to the audience, lying to everyone on Cybertron, lying to himself. And his hope in general conflicts with the reality of his situation? Because they are not together as one by the end, they don't all have the power to transform, to become who they were destined to be, to right wrongs, to make their world better, here, not all are truly Autobots. And deep down, Optimus knows this. Because of Megatron, the thing wearing D-16's skin. He banished him as his punishment for his crimes because he thinks his best friend is lost forever.

Seeing Optimus and Megatron become enemies was bad enough. But the fact that nobody, not even Bee or Elita, was emotionally affected by or acknowledged what happened to Megatron and the high-guard (notice how they don't even console or comfort Optimus, nor does he even address his feelings)... that the energon was flowing again and everyone got their cogs back, all without everyone there to see it (Megatron and the high-guard)... that the one person who needed that hope the most never got it... to top it all off with that speech at the end. It's emotionally suffocating, like I can't fully process my feelings.

I was never the most hopeful or optimistic person, but I don't like to pretend everything is fine, and I prefer to feel my feelings and not turn to stone. If you don't acknowledge the horror or hopelessness of a situation, you can't look for a solution. If you don't sit with your pain, you can't receive comfort. It really does feel like Optimus is just pretending everything is fine when it's not. Like he's trying to forget about Megatron/D-16, cut ties with the love they shared, that he's truly let his friendship with D-16 die. Not only does it fill me with hopelessness and despair... it also fills me with a real, genuine rage beyond the capacity for rational thought. Because I feel LIED to, like Optimus lied to himself and to me. And that he won't feel his feelings.

What Megatron did was wrong, and we can not downplay his actions. And I understand why Optimus was upset, and he's completely justified to be. But he doesn't understand WHY Megatron left him to die, why he tried burning down Iacon. Or just how much he was hurting. That he's still good at heart. Just like how Megatron doesn't understand why Optimus took the bullet for Sentinal. He wasn't trying to save Sentinal, but he was trying to save Megatron. Because... Because he loves him. I don't know if banishing Megatron was the right punishment.

I know I shouldn't feel so angry at Optimus and feel bad for both him and Megatron. I am still very much horrified and heartbroken by... by what Megatron did. And believe me, I try so hard to understand both of them. But that's just it. Why can't Optimus just let himself cry? Why is he pretending everything is fine when it's not? He may be a Prime... but he's also just a man.

I've lost hope for Optimus or Megatron. Isn't there anything that can keep hope alive for their future?

the fact that in canon there's a very good chance Vanessa has no idea that Gregory was ever ggy or possessed or anything and she just never thinks about the messenger who was manipulating her again because she's focused on moving on in life, and the only thing keeping it at a chance and not canon is no blatant statement in a game bc everything points towards it. there's no way that she freed Gregory with balloon world being out of the way and Cassie is clueless about a lot (no hate to her) and Freddy was on ggys side and so was every other robot

this is how Tony Becker freeing Gregory in the games can be real and true and the best thing ever

Wanted to do a set of Bee and squad! Had a passing thought that in the early days of Orion adjusting to being Optimus, he tends to ramble to himself, overthinking as he tries to find a solution or figure out what he’s even suppose to do. Elita usually just bonks him to get him to settle down, but Bee is too short to get his attention or help. So he just climbs up and hangs off him to get him to refocus. They basically good cop bad cop him depending on what Optimus needs to respond too.

Then just Elita and Bee having literally anymore interaction and Megs having to silently tolerate bee wanting to be tall. He won’t tell him to leave, but he definitely debates doing it occasionally -3-

Wanted to share more for my Permanent Amnesia Bee AU so here's some chapter name ideas for the fic.

- Laws about how to deal with sparklings engaging in criminal activity are… not fully developed. Sparklings had an extremely low forge rate pre-Sentinel era, once perhaps every few hundred or even thousand cycles, but after the flow of energon stopped they became significantly more frequent, albeit still considered rare at a relative 1:100 ratio with their adult counterparts. Thus there was little need until recently to consider the intricacies of juvenile detention or similar, and the courts instead gave immediate priority to establishing protections for sparklings and regulations involving their care.

- The most common solution at the moment is a designated time of house arrest and a corrective education plan. The plan, keep in mind, should not ever involve causing genuine distress for the delinquent sparkling.

- The moment a sparkling onlines, they are taken to be assigned a suitable caretaker by the court. Depending on the circumstances, such as a candidate having a Conjunx Endura (life partner), two may be assigned, but almost never more than that.

- Individuals close to the caretaker(s) may participate in raising of sparklings through acts such as temporary care in case of emergency (“sparksitting”) and providing care supplies, but must submit a caretaker application of their own if they wish to become more involved in any way.

- Should a caretaker fall seriously ill, perish, or become unfit in any other manner (such as abuse, neglect, or elective abandonment), a caretaker reassignment is required for the sparkling, and they may be placed in a temporary home while collected data about their recorded interests, struggles, and other such aspects of life are taken into account in order to find a suitable replacement. Counseling is recommended for reassigned sparklings.

- Most sparklings are currently homeschooled, as youth education facilities are still under construction and review, with curriculum as well as appropriate education for youth teachers being not yet fully developed. Homeschooling may be monitored by a social worker if there any concerns about a caretaker’s capacity to educate.
