I love how in the 80s Saint Seiya Shiryu's master is this mysterious, nameless, force who knows everything and is super wise. Maybe not even entirely human, who knows? He has no past, but endless wisdom and power which every character seems to bow down to, as much a leader as Athena herself.

And then you watch the spinoffs and then you see. He's some dumbass hot bitch named Dohko. He's been alive for thousands of years. Was a borderline romantic relationship with the damn Pope. He keeps fuckin shit up. Currently the sole survivor of a massive apocalyptic war. Might've been trained by a dragon. Himbo of all time giving Seiya a run for his money. Everyone hates Dohko.
