Study Tips for Back to School
1.  Look over your notes each night to make sure you really understand it.  I like doing my homework downstairs after school, then lugging my backpack up to my room and just reading them over as if I’m reading a book.
2. Get into a routine that works for you.  Make sure that you always make space to do all of your homework, study for ALL your tests AND maybe read ahead a little.  I really like just writing down a schedule for myself the day before.
3. Start smaller.  If you’ve got a huge assignment to do, like an essay, stay in the game by finishing a little piece of the project every day. If you’re like me, you’ll quickly get stressed about something and feel unmotivated.  Instead, write one paragraph each night. Or, do 10 geometry problems from your set at a time, and then take a little break to relax!
4. You don’t have to stick to one study space.  Widen your horizons!  Maybe go to a coffee shop or the library.  Or just moving your stuff from your desk to the kitchen island can help you concentrate better!
5. Don’t let a bad grade get you down.  It can definitely be hard to move past a bad grade, but it’s necessary when you have 4 tests to study for and a heap of homework to do.  Get right to work, and don’t let that grade make you slack off.
:)

Back to School Hacks (because life could be easier)
I thought in honor of BTS (not the Kpop band), I would search for some life-simplifying hacks to help us out, because we need it (or maybe it’s just me.)  So, I searched long and hard (as in I searched the internet for “school hacks” and found a few that would ACTUALLY help, not just make life even more complicated...anyway, here ya go!
Tumblr media
1.  Emergency Kit - have a little emergency kit with you in your locker or backpack, because you never know when you’ll need it.  I some suggestions for you would be some hair ties and a small amount of money. :)
Link to an article that teaches you how to build one: https://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-School-Survival-Kit
2. Easy Bib - This is a citation site that I use for school, I don’t know if everyone uses Easy Bib as well, so I’m just putting it in just in case you haven’t tried it yet!
Link: http://www.easybib.com/
3.  Study Center - make sure you have at LEAST one area designated just for studying.  Make sure there isn’t any big distraction in that area, such as a TV or something like that.  We all love a little Netflix, but priorities are priorities!
Here’s an example of a nice study space I found:
Tumblr media
3. Google Scholar - now, this is something you’ve probably used before, but google scholar is literally amazing for school work.  It cites for you, and it’s less likely to get distracted by using it than your usual ol’ Google.
Link to GS: https://scholar.google.com/
4. Grammarly - I’m sure you’ve allllllllll heard of Grammarly before, but it’s so nice and I really do recommend it.  It also doesn’t cost any money but is so key for essays.
Go here to see it: https://www.grammarly.com/?q=brand&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=brand_f1&utm_content=329885936582&utm_term=grammarly&matchtype=e&placement=&network=g&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr9L1goqP5AIVjZOzCh0ZMgmBEAAYASAAEgIQuvD_BwE
Idk why that link is so long...haha
Anyway, that’s all of the hacks I have today, I hope these help you out in some way shape or form, and good luck in school!  :)
P.S comment down below when school starts for you, or when it started if it already has. Mine starts next week!

Test Time
Yeah, it’s that time again...
The time has finally come for all the tests to come rushing at you.  Make sure to study, study, study!  But, don’t push yourself too hard.  I have a tendency to do so, so I thought that I would give a few study tips that help me not get too stressed.
1. Take breaks in between.  Say, 20 minutes of HW and studying and then a 10-minute break to calm down and unwind.
2. Eat a snack while working.  Haha.
3. Treat yo self.  If you get a 100 on a test, get yourself something, or at least congratulate yourself on the inside.
That’s really it.  Good luck on those tests!

School Lunch Ideas
Quesadilla: Slap a flatbread with cheese and chicken on to your stove and bam!  In two minutes, you have your main meal!
Soup: You can obviously pick a lot of soups, but I recommend chili bean soup.  It is the best.  I get mine from my local supermarket, but, you can make it as well.  If you want to bring soup to school, I have a thermos, and it really works better than others.
Turkey Sandwich: A classic, but tastes so good!  I like putting onions, turkey, and lettuce on toasted bread!
Tuna Sandwich: Also a classic.  It tastes really good, but I will say, if you pack it a lot, it gets boring, unlike the others.  I just mix tuna and mayonnaise with cucumber and apple.  Then, I scoop it on two pieces of toasted bread and slam them together!
Kimbab: It looks just like sushi.  Wrap gim around rice, carrot, egg, and tuna.  Yum!
Cream Cheese Sandwich: I just spread some cream cheese on bread...Yeah, that simple.  I use strawberry cream cheese.  :) It’s the only one that tastes sooooooooo good.  (In my opinion)
Cheese Sandwich: You’re probably wondering if you read that right.  Yeah, ya did.  Just spread some Laughing Cow cheese on some toasted bread, and you’ve got a really tasty sandwich!
Snacks:
Pretzel Crisps: They are the best pretzels in the world (that I know of). They are a thin version of normal pretzels. Don’t go for the normal ones if you’ve never tried these!
Cheez-Its: I feel like this one is so popular that I don’t even need to explain, but it’s shaped like a square with a hole in the middle and tastes delicious!
Goldfish: I don’t think I need to explain this one either, but it is like Cheez-Its but tastes a little different, and is shaped like fish.  (I personally like Cheez-Its better.)
Nature Valley Bars: I like the crunchy ones and the chewy ones.  Both are delicious, and you should defiantly try them.  They are my favorite bars and one of my favorite sweet snacks.
Pockey: A sweet snack with a bar of chocolate covered biscuit.  Not my personal favorite, but all of my friends are obsessed with them, so I thought I would include them.
Hello Panda: These are great for chocolate lovers.  It’s kind of like the concept of Pockey, but tastes better!  It is not a stick, and instead is like a circle, and has chocolate inside.
Rice Rolls: Tasty treats that are low calorie!  You can find these at Costco, and they are popped rice covered in a sticky syrup.  It doesn’t sound very good, but it tastes sooooooo much better than what you’re thinking.
