what ticks me off about the "jason was a reckless kid" narrative that dc keeps trying to push is that jason only became like that after joining batman...it's literally bruce's influence that pushes jason to become more aggressive, risky, and violent.

and that would be an interesting dynamic to explore, but dc is allergic to making batman flawed in any way that makes him out to be like, actually kind of a bad person. all of his so-called flaws have to be for altruistic reasons.

Bruce doesn't believe in fate or destiny, because men need to have control over their own fate to be able to make the choice to be better, but he also believes that it is a constant in all universe that:

Dick is good and there's good in every universe if Dick Grayson exists.

Jason and him meet, and that boy becomes his son.

It's killing me.

And the thing is, he is wrong. Dick isn't always good (Vampire King Dick) and Jason doesn't always comes to him (Flashpoint as Bruce died way before Jason was born). But still, this very logical man thinks that his first son is a constant positive across universe, and his second is always meant to be with him. He loves them so much.

EDIT: this is not a hc, btw, those are things Bruce has says out loud in the comics. He has told a Clark from another universe that if Dick exists in his universe, than there is good in his universe. He had a talk with Alfred where they both agreed him and Jason must meet and be family in every universe (AND HE WAS SMILING). Both happened when the kid was an adult.
