Marshadow Thought #5

Marshadow have the ability to create Zenith Energy, the power source found within Z-Crystals. Zenith Energy, or Z-Energy, can grant the user an incredibly high amount of power, but only for a limited period of time. If a Marshadow exhausts their supply of Z-Energy, they must take some time to rest and recharge.

A Marshadow's transformation into their Zenith Form occurs when their bodies begin to produce high levels of Z-Energy to prepare them for a fight, similar to how an adrenaline rush works. With enough training, a Marshadow can learn to gain control of this transformation without relying on instinct.

Hey, just wanted to apologize for putting off the costume challenge stuff! I've been really overwhelmed lately so I haven't had any motivation to draw, and my brain has been fixated on my Marshadow OCs for the past several weeks so now it literally only wants to draw them lol. I have everything sketched out, it's just a matter of finishing them. I'll have a lot more free time starting next week so I'm hoping to get some work done then! (But if you see an influx of Marshadow-related content, you know why lol)

If I ever say I'm going to do something and then don't, you can safely assume 99% of the time it's because I've become fixated on something else LMAO

ALSO Art Fight is in 2 months so I'm hoping to start working on ref sheets soon too!

A reference for Marshie's bandana and Z-Crystal! He tries to tuck in as much of his neck floof as he can, but some of it always ends up poking out anyway.

He wears the bandana when he goes on adventures with his friends. It seems to boost his confidence quite a bit, especially once he earns his fancy new Z-Crystal! (Though using a Z-Move is admittedly something he's still working on...)

Update to my PMD world lore that I forgot to share here:

Regions and continents are no longer entirely different locations. Instead, regions can be found ON the continents. (The world map is pretty much the same as it is in canon.) Basically regions are just locations that have been fully explored and deemed safe for a ton of pokemon to live so there are lots of towns and peaceful wildlands. (Not that there aren't any mystery dungeons at all, they're just a lot smaller and easier to deal with most of the time. There are of course a few exceptions here and there.) Exploration teams aren't very common in regions since everything has been sufficiently mapped out and explored. Basically, you can think of regions as the capitals / big cities of the continents.

Most regions have been established for quite a while, dating back hundreds, if not thousands, of years. Some stories claim that humans helped pokemon establish them, while others attribute their creation to the Legendaries. Who knows?

Rowlet finally got a ref sheet! IDK if I've ever really talked about her much so here's some info under the cut!

Rowlet is a member of Team RLP with her friends Litten and Popplio! They're a newbie rescue team, so they don't really know what they're doing, especially since there aren't any other rescue teams around where they live. They just like going on adventures and helping people. Rowlet's a lot more timid than her teammates, and usually acts as the cautious voice of reason during their wilder antics.

She hasn't picked a nickname yet because she's not sure who she wants to be quite yet. Her dad wants her to be a noble hero like him, and while she doesn't mind the idea, her concept of heroism is very different from his. (I have an idea for what her nickname will be but I'm not telling heehee)

Also, she's partially shiny! Some of the leaves on her wings and tail match the leaves of a shiny rowlet. Similarly to vampires, they sparkle when exposed to sunlight. (She also has a team "scarf" fashioned into a bowtie, but I lowkey forgot about it so I'll draw it another time.)

A new fella that I made back in February ^v^

This is Nova! He's the Guardian of the Isle of the Sunne, essentially making him a counterpart of sorts to Vex (although the two don't get along well). Most victini are known for their energetic personalities, which is why Nova's calm, laid back nature tends to come as a shock to visitors on the isle. He's a hard worker when he needs to be, but he can also be rather lazy at times. (Can't really blame him tbh, I'd much rather nap than do chores.)
