On the one hand, deciding to do a herringbone pattern probably increased the floor renovation project time by 4-5 hours. On the other hand, my library floor is going to look bomb as hell (just as soon as I run to Home Depot for more flooring because I ran out 😬). We’ll do black grout in here as well. And once the floor is done…I can start building bookshelves 🎉🎉🎉

"Christ Breaking a Rifle", by Otto Pankok, ?1955? (German, 1893-1966).

Pankok was declared a 'degenerate artist' by the Nazi party, and often depicted people marginalized by German society in his work, notably the many Roma and Sinti women who served as his models for his collection of woodcuts depicting the Passion of Christ. "Christ Breaking a Rifle" was created as part of the German movement against re-miliarization after the horrors of World War II.

Naps are a forbidden technique, I think. If you pull them off just right you'll access a pool of near-endless rejuvenating power, but if you mess up some inscrutable part of the ritual your vitality and might will be sapped and you'll be left at the mercy of your opponents
