Nifty Knitting,

today the trailer for the new stuff pack has been released. The release date is July 28. But we have seen a few new things. we have seen how knitting works and how plopsy works. We have also seen a lot of new furniture that comes with the stuff pack. I am very excited for the new pack, I would love to sell things through plopsy and I am really looking forward to the new furniture. The furniture has a bit of a crafty vibe. And I think that this furniture can be mixed very well with furniture from other packs.

I am busy with remaking Newcrest. I'm just started with the cheapest neighborhood. I had the idea that it was a logical to make from this neighborhood sort of a students neighborhood. Because of that is this build not so fancy. I had the idea that the students made there own space out of this old factory. They made a cozy place where every generation can have a fun time. There is a lot to do in this build. So if you interested you can find this build on the gallery, my gallery name is Luuk_Donders. (Sorry I'm from the Netherlands)

But I thought maybe you can have some inspiration out of this post.

More news about Knifty Nitting

In order to start knitting, you’ll need to purchase a Yarn Basket from the Build/Buy catalog. You probably remember voting on these baskets a while back. This was the winning design, presented to you now in all its colorful glory! Don’t like color? That’s okay, because we included a solid black and white variant.

The basket acts as the crafting catalyst(neat term, huh?) similar to the Easel or Woodworking Bench in The Sims 4 base game. But unlike those examples, the Yarn Basket is meant to live in a Sim’s inventory so that they can take their knitting anywhere they want to go. Knitting itself is relatively straightforward: click on the Yarn Basket in your inventory, OR, with the basket in your inventory, click on the chair you want to sit in while knitting (perhaps a rocking chair?) and select the Knit interaction.

Your projects are saved to your Sim, so you can pause your progress at any time and resume later, and even juggle multiple projects at once. Starting a project costs a small amount of Simoleons for the cost of yarn, but nothing too outrageous.

As a Sim levels up their knitting skill they’ll have access to new patterns. They’ll start with knitting socks and beanies, but as they grow more skilled they can tackle more challenging projects like sweaters and toys for kids. But if you only want to specialize in one thing - perhaps knitted mailbox cozies? - that's fine too! Just keep knitting anything and everything, and you’ll be level 10 before you know it.

Speaking of knitting skill, sometimes your skill is reflected in your knitted work, or rather your lack of skill. Knitting projects can fail, and when they fail they can get weird. But it’s all subjective, and maybe you’ll end up accidentally knitting the cutest derpy companion, or the perfectly itchy sweater. No mistakes, only happy accidents!

One of the niftiest parts of the knitting skill is unlocking the ability to Teach to Knit, where Sims sit down together and have a knitting pow-wow. We wanted this to feel special, so we got a really sweet animation for it (Thanks Haeju!). Now that you can infect other Sims with the knitting bug, no yarn ball will be safe!

So, what can you do with all these knitting projects? Lots of stuff!

Not only can knitted objects be listed on Plopsy, but you can also Donate them to charity. If you want to surprise a loved one, try Gifting a knitted object too. If you want to destroy all traces of your knitted failures, you can Frog the object and start again! If it's a particularly nice Sweater that you made, consider Adding it to Wardrobe to make it available in Create-A-Sim to all family members.

We want Sims to be able to knit something for their whole family. Not only will Sims be able to knit Toddler Onesies, but Baby Onesies as well. So put your little grubworm in a handmade knitted outfit. I’m sure they’d thank us if they could! (And if they didn’t like it I’m sure they’d be polite about it.)

It also felt like a good idea to add an Aspiration to tie this passion for knitting all together. So if you want to master the fuzzy art of knitting, consider signing your Sim up for the Lord(or Lady) of the Knits Aspiration. With yarn running through your veins, there will be no knitting mountain too hard to conquer! Master the Aspiration and you’ll be rewarded with the Sacred Knitting Knowledge trait. What does it do? Lots of stuff! What does it unlock? Something special! Am I being vague? I am! Come on guys, I can’t share all the secrets quite yet.

As I’ve mentioned previously, we’re trying to get as much cross-pack functionality for knitting as we can. Cats can play with Yarn Baskets and Yarn Balls, there will be new Club rules for Knitting, new class electives at University, and knitting counts for Emotional Control, just to name a few. I’m hoping Knitting feels nice and snug alongside our other gameplay systems.

The new hairstyles that come with Nifty knitting !! New hairstyles are coming up. EcoGuruFrost has also announced that there will also be hair for babies. It is not yet known whether that is in the base game.💇‍♂️🎉

New Townies!!
In the new world, Evergreen Harbor is home to four new townies families. 
The Haris family: The family lives in a beautiful house. With a beautiful interior. But only one person in the family works. What is going on here? This is a small summary of what their description says. The family consists of three adults and two children. One of the children always walks with a bag over his head. But why, I gess we will find out soon !!
 The Sterling Rico family: This family consists of one man and one woman. The woman is a techie who wants to make the world a little better. Her husband is a style influencer who likes to promote his clothes. But they are not yet officially boy and girl friend they are still dating. Hate Nocks (sorry I don’t know how to spell that name) 
The Greenburg family: This family consists of two women who have adopted a child. They want to make the world a little better. One has her garden and the other likes to paint. They fight together for a better world. But sometimes Nocks takes that a bit too literally. But if the ladies want to make a difference we have to hurry because time is on there side. 
The Tinker family: This is also a lesbian couple. These are two successful women, together with a child. They live in a big house, but after my opinion, not necessarily the most beautiful. One of the two is a successful freelance crafter. Her partner is also successful. Their daughter really wants to become like her parents later on.
 My opinion: I am very excited about the new townies. I think I already have a few families that I want to play with. While I often never found that interesting with other packs. So I’m really looking forward to the outcome of the new pack.

Hi, I am one of the creators of this account. And I am now working on a factory community space. The story behind this place is: A long time ago this was a factory that was very successful with its own shop. But when things went less, the factory had to close. After years of vacancy, the local residents decided to make it a place where everyone is welcome and your sims can meet. They can also make and sell things. The perfect place for your sim. I am still working on it but it will appear on the gallery soon.😂

New Free update!! Built mode and bills!

A new kind of build mode is added with the new update. Each item that uses electricity or water now shows how much water or electricity it uses. For example, if you fill your entire house with these products, your bill will be considerably higher than that you all have energy and water-efficient products in your house.

If you click on the mailbox and then on account information you can see what you use for which category. A little bit more about the bills: You will now receive your bills, You can now also pay, for example, only to the energy company and not to the water company. Then only your water will be shut off. If you don't pay your fees for too long, someone from the company will come by and take some expensive things with you.

The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle: New Traits and Aspirations

During the livestream from eco livestile, Gurus confirmed that there will be 4 new traits available for Sims in CAS, along with 2 new Aspirations in Eco Lifestyle.

Create-a-Sim Traits

Maker Trait – These Sims become happy when making things. They become sad when it’s been too long since completing a project on a Fabricator, Candlemaking Station, Juice Fizzer, or Woodworking Table. They do not receive negative effects from crafting or repair failures.

Green Fiend – These Sims are happiest when living on a green street and will continuously work towards making their environment more eco-friendly.

Freegan – These Sims reject consumerism and prefer to reduce wasteful spending by any means. They enjoy finding re-used or thrown away goods and foods. In fact, they have the best luck at finding the highest-quality treasures in Dumpsters! They may become tense or uncomfortable if they spend too much time earning or spending Simoleons.

Recycling Disciple – SimGuruGeorge’s webcam was blocking the UI on the screen, but he stated that these Sims want to be recycling and reusing trash and other items.

Create-a-Sim Aspirations

Eco Innovator (Nature) – This Sim wants to build a better, greener community. During the stream, SimGuruJessica gave some additional details on this aspiration.

“Eco Innovator ties into our Neighbored Action Plan and is the more outward facing civil aspiration. The aspiration involves voting, convincing people to vote, involved selling power via the new power and build system, and it also ties into the Civil Designer Career.

The reward for being a good Eco Innovator is getting some new powerful socials like being able to shun someone or promote someone as a cool person.”

The Maker (Creativity) – This Sim wants to become an expert at Fabrication! During the stream, SimGuruJessica gave some additional details on this aspiration.

“The Maker aspiration ties into making stuff. It ties into pretty much all the new crafting in the game like Candlemaking, the Juice Fizzing, the Fabrication, and Recycling. Completing this aspiration will yield a savings reward so that Sims can save money on material usage to make things more efficiently.”

Nifty Knitting

Plopsy  More is known about the new stuff pack. Plopsy is an online platform to sell your self-made things. So if you are knitting a sweater you can put it online. You can also see how many people are interested in your products. When someone makes a bid you will receive a message on your phone. If you accept the offer, you can send the sweater, for example, via the letterbox. You will receive your money and you will receive a thank you message from the person who bought your product. You can also reject the offer and wait until a new offer is made. It is not certain that this will be a higher bid, and it may also happen that no bid is made at all.

Highlights from the live stream.

Electricity With the new pack we get electricity generators. These generators will be more polluting than the windmills. You can also generate energy with solar panels. You have several solar panels, you have one that can lie on a flat roof, you have one that can stand on a flat roof on a stand facing the sun. But you can also place the solar panels that lie flat on the flat roof on a sloping roof. You also have a power generating roof covering.

Water  You have a water generator and you can collect rainwater. If you have had enough of these things, at some point, you will no longer have bills for water. And that is the same for the electricity. You can also collect water with a green roof.

Improved bills (are coming in the base game!!)  If you click on the letterbox now you can see where all your money goes. How much you pay for water for energy, and so on. This way you can see where you can still save. If you make too much electricity, you can also sell it back to the electricity company.

Build mode  The new build mode has some interesting new things. For starters, every build item you can use is now ranked by how good it is for the environment. The more you build with things that are good for the environment, the cleaner and greener the neighborhood becomes. But you cannot create a green neighborhood on your own. You also need your neighbors for that. But more about that later.

Another great thing is that you can place the windows now of the grid !! This is a feature that comes with a new update for the base game. Of course there will also be ladders as we saw earlier. Ladders will be added to the base game. And a recollor will be added to the new expention pack.

You can also take furniture out of the garbage and then redecorate it. Your sims can also make more furniture themselves.

World  You get 13 new lots and you also get two apartment complexes. These apartments are not very different from those of city living. Only an apartment complex has no lift, you have to take the sims up the stairs. And I personally think that is a very nice idea.

You can let the neighborhoods become very separate from each other or just make them very clean. In a dirty neighborhood, your sims will get sick and cough more. Also, the sims that walk by will have a bag over their heads because they are ashamed of their neighborhood. But if you have a clean neighborhood, your sims will be more happy and proud of their neighborhood.
