You want me to pay to see what’s behind you? very well, what sort of trinket would you like? “ he smiled. “but make sure you ask your father next time, that perhaps he should give you money” he smirks. “I don’t have all the credits in the world you know?” he muttered.  The creatures behind him made some uproar “stop it” he said as he looked away from the creature then back at the little one.

“well? What’s your price?”

“Hmm. My price is….” TJ pushed his lips out in thought, acting as if he truly had a lot to think about here. Well, technically, he did. Uncle Tan had endless amounts of awesome stuff that the kid would love to get his hands on. Why? Because it looked like something his Pops wouldn’t approve of him having. “Your puppy!”

"Uncle, uncle! I bringed you somethin'!"

“Oh?” he paused. “And what did you bring me?” he asked.

Lucky for TJ, he had been paying attention enough to catch the small bag tossed his way. His eyes lit up - although he hardly had any idea what his tiny hands were now holding. Whatever was inside had to be cool, though, because it came from his uncle. “How’d ya’ do that, uncle? Show me how to do cool stuff! Pops never le’s me do anythin’ cool!” 

He pouted and gave the bag a little shake, letting go of DJ’s jacket. He came to a sudden stop and opened the bag up to take a peek inside. Not the best idea to stop in the middle of such a thick crowd, but his curiosity had gotten the better of him. Like always. He glanced up to see that he had fallen slightly behind, a soft gasp leaving his lips. “Wait, wait, uncle! Ya’ too fast!”

Trouble, Make it Double [Closed]

Busy-bodies and the like were a drove of treasure. People when they moved, creatures, humans, aliens, any odd-ball bipedal creature with pockets - everything and anything was fair game. It was a type of dance, keeping the fancy footwork to a minimum unless required too. And with how his eyes scanned a few choice individuals, he kept to light steps and the ability to snake into pockets, going by unnoticed. “Well, lemme tell you. If deals come back and bite you on the ass…well…” 

He nonchalantly tossed his nephew a small bag of credit chits he just unhooked off of a belt from an unsuspecting victim. Maybe that would help him keep up the pace, trailing by tailcoat or not. He thumbed across his mouth and pointed with his nose in another odd direction. “Always p-p-pays to have a backup plan of ya backup plan.”

The racetrack was much closer now. Hopefully the little legs that followed after him would be able to keep the pace and not get distracted too much.

“I dunno, papa! I never do nothin’ wrong,” TJ pouted as he wrapped his tiny arms around his waist. As small as the kid was, his arms barely reached all the way around. “I dun’ wanna eat now, daddy made me too sad. I think he hate me.”

*hugs* Daddy was mean to me again

  “what? Why mustyour father always be mad at you, your nothing but a delighted boy, whocasually needs a talking to, but other than that?” he said. “why don’t we getyou something to eat? What would you like?”

TJ smiled proudly, a little surprised by the fact that he was able to capture his uncle so easily. Now he could take him back to his father and show him how good he was at being a bounty hunter. “I got you uncle! Now we go see my pops, okay?”

“But....” TJ’s lip quivered and he looked down at the floor, unable to keep his eyes from filling with tears. He never got hugs - they were nearly impossible to come by since he lived with his father. He sniffled softly and rubbed his eyes. “Um...okay uncle....”
