I fucking love how people who claim to be leftists and have a progressive mindset on social issues suddenly start talking exactly like conservatives when it comes to veganism and animal rights. And the majority of anti vegans aren't even doing that properly. You sound more like a tinfoil hat conservative boomer who got his ideas from a dubious facebook page or a whatsapp message.

I have been thinking about it and honestly I am the most excited to be back on this platform because it feels like one of the last places ppl actually just want to hang out at.

When I was entering the eighth grade my mom was separating from her husband (not my dad) and they decided to hit up therapy on the way to divorce court (very normal) and one of the only things she picked up at therapy was that she was a “helicopter parent” to me… up until that point she did help me, she was supportive, and honestly my best friend after having to move all around the west my young life. That 100% changed that year. She worked late into the night, and newly single was partying with her friends after, only really home and semi-sober the two days a week she had my younger half sibling. I was home alone taking care of myself 90% of the time, I started “sneaking” boys and girls into the apartment and started to get called “loose” by my own mother… all of it only getting progressively worse until I graduated high school and got myself kicked out.

I blocked my mom’s phone number July 4, 2020 and have 0 plans of ever seeing her on purpose ever again.

Idk what the “right” way to raise your kid is, but I can tell you that treating your kid like they should already act like an adult and make decisions like and adult (neurotypical or not) is a fast track to get them to hate you. Maybe they’ll put up with you, but if I am the one giving them advice, it’s to traumatize you right the fuck back.

As someone who happens to be coming back to this site during the twitter debacle not because of it, but used this site heavily as a teen a decade ago… first of all, not much has changed. Like next to nothing. I honestly appreciate that. Second of all, I’m excited.

I personally am excited to see what can happen here, I’m excited to see if we can make cool shit happen here, if I can be apart of maybe something… good? In spite of all of its flaws, tumblr is still standing. Maybe I’m too optimistic, but twitter dying can only be a good thing, honestly & the fact that it’s taking Elon down with it is just icing…

I have been thinking about wanting to upload Yoga YouTube videos for a long time now… since before I was even in YTT in 2019. Life has always “happened” and things have always come up and gotten in the way - but I had an idea dawn on me in the shower yesterday. An app! A free app. Like totally free, no subscription option to upgrade, just yoga on an app.

I have known while going to school for massage I want to have yoga videos out as resources for my massage clients, but putting them on YouTube since finishing YTT honestly has felt a little like selling myself and skills out to Alphabet.

I want to “own” everything, but not in the way that I want all of the credit - no the credit always goes to the ancient yogis. I also don’t want to own everything so I get all of the money… maybe it’s mostly so I have all of the control. Just me and the people that want to take a minute to download my app.

I started researching and I actually think I can develop it myself over some time, but I am always open to help.
