You don't have to "understand" everyone's choices in order to accept them. Everyone's mind works differently. Live and let live.

Sometimes when you're having an argument, and it feels like what you're saying just isn't sinking in, you just have to accept that the person you're talking to may be a complete idiot. This realization has made my life a little less stressful lately.

People Who's Only Argument Against Gay Marriage Is Your Religion,
We have separation of church and state in America. This is not a Theocracy. Laws cannot be made for our nation based on your religious upbringing. If this is your only argument, then it is totally invalid.
Take your personal views out of the picture and give people the freedom to live their own lives. If two people are happy together, who are you to destroy it for them? Why should your views be placed at higher importance than theirs?
Believe what you want, but don't impose it on others.

There's something magical about airports. Seeing everyone's reactions to meeting up with loved ones is incredible. The feeling I get when I first see my parents, friends, or sisters waiting for me as I come down the escalator to meet them, shakes me in the most awesome way. You can talk on the phone all you want, but there's nothing like a long-lost smile waiting to take you home again. For me, airports are the easiest places to SEE love.

Please don't EVER complain about the possibility of having a child with a mental disability. Just over-heard two girls saying things like "wow that would suck if I had a kid with downs. you're like stuck with a three year old for your whole life." Comments like this are so offensive to someone like me who has an awesome uncle who happens to b handicapped with a mental disability. I can tell you from personal experience: it is the PERSON with the disability that suffers the most, not the caregiver. THEY are the ones who have to put up with discrimination and limitations, NOT you. People can be SO selfish sometimes. ...just trying to remind everyone to think of others feelings before you say things you (hopefully) don't mean.

On a personal note, I really don't understand pro-life people at all. It's one thing if your religion keeps YOU from having an abortion, but why do you care what other people do? When a woman gives birth to a child she can't take care of, who is going to take care of him/her? You? Or what of the woman was raped? She could not control the fact that she got pregnant, and now you're saying she can't control how to handle this situation either? When CAN a woman be in control of her own body? Think these things through before you automatically agree with the position of your church. Try placing yourself in someone else's shoes.

Woah. Just found out that two of my friends' catholic high schools made them stand outside abortion clinics in protest of their practices. This is seriously so crazy to me and I just felt the need to share. Any comments you have on this matter are much appreciated. I know the Catholic Church is against abortion, but imposing these beliefs on students AND making those students speak publicly about it and imposing these beliefs on STRANGERS seems so wrong!

Even the southerners who say they aren't racist are motherfucking racist! I'm gonna start posting the things I hear from people down here who claim to not be racist. Sorry for the angry mood today but this is just so frustrating.

When you really want something, there is always a way to get it. There are things you can say and points you can bring up, without lying, that can convince the people around you that you're right and you deserve it ...even when their argument might initially seem stronger to you. This is one of the most valuable things I learned in college.

It really sucks when people don't follow through. If you say you're going to do something for someone at a certain time, then do it! You look like a major jerk if you put off certain tasks just because they don't affect YOU personally. It's really incredibly selfish. If you can't keep a promise, then don't make it. Sometimes I really just don't understand how people can be so thoughtless and self-centered.
