when I started to become more openly black online instead of a generic furry trans artist, I noticed I have been facing a lot of racism from it
my characters and myself being more fetishized by reactionaries-
people questioning if I'm truly black, saying they'll just "pretend I'm a white person" (weird)
my vents about my grudges with white people being anti black to me is twisted into being too "mean to white people and that I'm on white devil speech and I need to be nicer to them"
it's just crazy how I'm treated no differently for being black online than I am IRL, and this is mostly done WITHIN leftist spaces. it's exhausting.

Trees, like animals, can also experience albinism, though it is extremely rare.

I know the point of being a good writer is having the ability to be flexible in the type of content you write, but I still find it absolutely WILD that these 2 things were written by the same person

in order to unlearn racism u have to be willing to accept that u are racist. it’s not a bad thing to want to change for the better. it’s not a bad thing to say hey, the way i’ve been acting is racist and i don’t want to be racist anymore. when people of color are telling u ways in which u have been racist, it’s actually not cool to brush it off and say, well i didn’t mean it that way.. u actually have to make an effort to stop doing those things if u want to be able to actually say ur anti-racist. u can’t just say ur not racist because u don’t wanna be seen as racist. that’s not how unlearning racism works.

A little thing I've noticed about very specific certain multiplayer games where the players are supposed to inhabit a "blank slate" player character to act as their vehicle of interaction it usually comes in one of 3 flavors.
1) completely generic white guy.
2) a person fully garbed head to toe showing absolutely no skin and they tell you isn't gendered but is still given a fully masculine body with no option to alter its shape
3) something not even really recognizable as a human. More of a approximation of something with two arms, two legs, a head and (maybe) a face.
All of them will generally share the trait that differentiated your blank slate from other players is done via dressing them up with clothes colors or accessories.
Generally this doesn't get remarked upon at all by people playing the game.
And then there's Satisfactory where there are numerous people on the community page saying that they loved the gameplay but are bothered by the fact that unlike other games the devs of this one made their "blank slate" player-character models all explicitly women but also not super femininely rail-thin.
And a bunch of guys don't know how to cope with being not only "forced" to play as a girl but also one that isn't really designed to be sexy.
I dunno, I just think it's neat.

This makes no sense
2.7 gigawatts? You can run image generation on an average desktop computer. I think the original number might come from an estimate of trying to simulate all the neurons of a human brain? This image is completely misleading.
..also "have you know" is in two spots, this has to be a shitpost right? I'm worried that I'm pissing on the poor by trying to take this graphic seriously

Not sure exactly, the story was that my dad's interviewer had found an archived version the random personal website he had made 10 years prior (which wasn't even online anymore) and grilled him on it, and that therefore everything you say on the internet will somehow be traced back to you
At some point in my life I also learned of the opposite problem: apparently some employers don't want to hire people who lack a public social media? It's supposedly considered a red flag if they can't get a sense for how you portray yourself online? Still unsure if that's true, but it sounds horrendous.
Anyhow, in this case for my Tumblr unless someone can find it via my email address it shouldn't be tied to my irl self, hopefully that's enough
have you tried talking nonsense to yourself yet?
or coming up with a convoluted and specific tagging system?
Perhaps I should try talking nonsense to myself, that's a good idea.
I grew up being told that social media is evil and scary and my future job interviewer will find it and grill me on everything I said, so my experience on tumblr has been a very slow getting used to the idea that I can talk here and it's Fine Actually
Tagging wise idk, i have a few tags (some inspired by you) which are:
#spyglass post
#spyglass reply
#ask
#we live in a dystopia
and #fav/fave (i keep forgetting which i use, so I've ended up with both lol)
(also various basic tags like #art and such)
In general though I don't often search through my posts/reblogs so I haven't really needed a tagging system
