idk if yall have watched the vampire diaries but if you have and have also read onyx storm, am I the only one that sees so many parallels between Elena and Stefan and Violet and Xaden. Xaden getting on the ice aka turning off his emotions and leaving at the end of onyx storm (book three), the same being Stefan turning off his humanity and leaving with Klaus on season 3. Elena not giving up on him no matter what?

Klaus ordering Stefan to kill Elena and Stefan resisting compulsion is the same between Xaden and Violet. I can see Berwyn ordering Xaden to hurt Violet in book four and him not doing it.
