Hi, The link on the bulletprooflarry timeline to the still works for me... but it doesn't actually include the "I've never seen you in a dress before" bit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lz3PsZnX5bI
However, I also found many excerpts of that interview, some of them on the 4music channel. I don't know if it was ever published online in uncut form...?
There is a 1:42 clip that includes the "I've never seen you in a dress before" bit here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=podGIza4DIE
Here's the "I met you in the toilet" bit, with a discussion of who's Batman and who's Robin : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcF8FuRRc0k
hello sweetpea,
thank you so much, I really appreciate you sharing these links!! 💖
yes, that link in Kati's @bulletprooflarry Sep 2011 timeline at 6 Sep 2011 doesn't link to a 4music interview clip that also includes the "I haven't seen you in a dress before, hmmm" part!
The 4music interview was recorded in one day, but the channel posted the interview parts on different days and some clips are deleted nowadays. (I, too, noticed that when I started elongating that Sep 2011 timeline for archive purposes, which I am still in the middle of finishing right now; it's quite extensive 🥹)
I will add the following video in my archiving post as well, but for everyone who had asked (tagging Gina @twopoppies bc i think you had gotten an anon 1-2 weeks ago who wanted to see that clip with the dress and I hadn't been able to find it), here are the linked videos - once again thank you for sending them over, darling!
4music Interview, 6 Sep 2011 for app users: the moment starts at 0:50 They are talking about the question "Do you think your fashion sense has changed since becoming famous?" and they discuss it a little, nodding their heads. Louis says he thinks it's "changed to a degree, but everyone has kept" a bit of themselves. And that one day they might wear different boots or jeans. And Harry adds: "...or a dress." and Louis turns to him and says: "I've never seen you a dress before, hmmm 😍" (which I personally think is even more lovely; that Harry was one in the first place to bring up wearing a dress 🥹 and then Louis immediately said that to him in that supportive, appreciative way)

STILL THE ONE: A timeline.
October 2013 was when Harry first began to publicly mention “Still the One.” It was an exhausting time, for them and for fandom. The end of the Take Me Home Tour, another album and tour on the horizon, break-up rumors, drug rumors, the beginning of public separate travel for Zayn and Louis. They were tired, we were tired, everybody wanted a break. And then Harry…
16 October 2013 - During Twitter questions on the Take Me Home tour in Melbourne, Australia, the boys were asked “What one song did you listen to growing up that you still love to listen to now?” and for some reason at 5:12 instead of saying what his song would be, Harry walks over to Niall and whispers it in his ear, while Louis watches closely I might add, and then Niall turns to look at Louis and then back to Harry and says, “Go on and tell ‘em.” but Harry doesn’t seem to want to say it or something, and Louis is looking at him, and Niall says, “Do you want me to tell ‘em for you?” and Harry agrees, so Niall says, “Harry says “Still the One” by Shania Twain.” and Harry kinds of smiles this cute smile.”
28 October 2013 - During Twitter questions in Melbourne, Australia on 28 October, the boys were asked what embarassing songs they had on their iPod. “ Harry said “Well, I have one - I’m not embarrassed though, I’m not embarrassed!” and Niall prompted him to continue so Harry was like “Okay, it’s Shania Twain.” Niall responded and Harry said, “Have you HEARD ‘Still The One’ though??” and wanted to talk about how good it was. Then Louis did that adorable you’re-too-cute-for-this-world head-tilt, smiling really widely, and said something about how Harry was really into her lately. And Harry just kept agreeing and going on about how good the song was. It was all very, very cute.”
Since that time, it’s been a Thing ™ for larries.
Then in Fall 2017, he brought it back…
15 September 2017 - Harry played the song on a kazoo onstage at the Greek Theatere.
11 June 2018 - “Still the One” was played during the soundecheck for the show in Atlanta.
18 June 2018 - Audio of Harry singing “Still the One” during soundcheck in Boston is posted online.
So Harry…

What do you make of the RBB was a crew member thing?
Oh boy, ok, let’s get into this one.
My ex used to work with a guy/be mates with a guy, who was a roadie for a decade.
Back when RBB was happening, and Harry said ‘uh it’s a crew member I believe...’, we asked him what he made of that.
He (the friend) basically said it’s possible a roadie etc was placing them nightly and taking them away, but there was zero chance the artist wouldn’t have given some form of permission. Shows are tightly run ships - a crew member doesn’t have the authority to strap bears to the stage, make space for them, shine lights on them etc without the act allowing it. If a crew member strapped a bear to Madonna’s stage (as an example of a very big act), made a whole pre show out of their presence without her permission? You can’t do shit like that.
The fact that the bears were sometimes literally attached to the side of the stage means the boys knew, security knew and knew they were ok to be there. My mate said in a post 9/11 world, no one, unless they wanted to get fired, would strap anything to the stage without permission from the act. The fact that security were unphased by the means they were told by someone with real authority that they can be/are part of the gig.
My mate said it’s possible a crew member or roadie physically handled placing the bears, but there’s no way they did it without everyone being in the loop.
To add my own comments:
1. The bears weren’t cheap. They had costumes that someone clearly ordered, and a rotating chair, props etc. Stage crews and roadies are not paid a tonne. In my country which generally pays well, lighting techs only get about 57 grand a year (which where I’m from, is not much - teachers earn 80k here in comparison) Are we actually going to say that a random crew guy lugged around an extra suitcase for the bears, the chair, the wedding outfits etc?
2. The bears addressed 1D fandom issues, eg the potato thing. Do you really think a crew member would a) know about that and b) care enough to cut out magazine letters, use a label maker, buy a mini chefs hat?
3. The bears addressed babygate before it was a full thing. Once again, do you think a crew member would a) know and b) care enough?
4. The Holmes Chapel Library book. Did this crew member go all the way there just to get a book to put in the background to troll the fandom? That level of dedication from someone with no stakes seems a bit...unhinged. Abnormal. Not realistic.
5. The Larry frame. Why? Why would a crew member want to engage with the Larry fans and why go to this much trouble? Why make complex references to lgbt figures and skip to my Lou etc? Once again, if a random crew member is doing this, they are maybe quite unwell.
6. The phone. Why would a crew member, once again on a normal persons salary, maintain the phone? It still works. Why would they have run a Twitter? Are we assuming they have no hobbies, family? Have a lot of spare time and money?
7. If this was happening without H and L’s consent, why wasn’t this person fired? The bears explicitly referred to both of them. The bears inflamed the rumours. Not only did the bears stick around, but they got even more space and attention given to them.
Now, I’ve seen people say the bears showing up for the LM concert is ‘proof’ they don’t belong to 1D. LM only left Syco around 2018. I am certain they know about Larry and they clearly know the boys. The boys also know there’s significant crossover between the LM fan base and theirs. Seems far more likely to me that L/H asked them to put RBB out there as a signal to us that all is well, then LM just happening to have the same very bizarre crew member with them who had the audacity to ask if they could also attach a bear to their stage to satisfy some unknown desire or expensive fetish.

Have you ever gotten to meet harry or Louis or the boys?
I haven’t gotten to meet them but we’ve interacted!
My first concert (TMH) I went with two friends and an ex girlfriend. My friends and I made glow in the dark signs and Louis commented on them, we got a wave from OT5 :’)
My ex had a sign that said ‘Harry, I’m only here because my girlfriend loves you’. He saw it and became genuinely obsessed with me for ten minutes. He sung (I think it was Last First Kiss) to me, blew me a kiss, confirmed it was for me, mocked me when I cried. It was magic.
My friends and I also did the canoe dance (you know, the one they do in the LWWY video) and Louis noticed and pointed it out to Zayn.
At the OTRA concert I was with a different ex girlfriend. We were both massive larries and made a sign telling them it was our anniversary (because it was) and drew a few of their tattoos around the words.
We were maybe three rows from the front of the B stage, at the end of the runway.
Louis saw the sign and waved to us, really shyly! He looked super nervous to communicate with us. He kept looking at us and smiling, his eyes are so fucking blue. I got about two waves from him then, and then when the boys were chatting and the crowd was super chill, I waved to Louis because I could see he was looking, and he waved back really happily!!
I have a friend who worked in a shopping centre and saw both of them. She said she saw Harry first, buying a smoothie and walking towards the cinema. And then five minutes later she saw Louis walk the same way. This was during TMH. I’ll hate her for the rest of my life.

lights up is such an important song to H (and a lot of people), you can tell ! I get so mad when I see the genius thing underneath on spotify talking about camille. like no offence, it's about him and struggling with accepting things about himself for "years"
listen, of the gender holy trinity, lights up is genuinely my favorite song. it's so liberating. I've already said this before, but harry uses the same language when discussing the process and the weight behind lights up as he does when he talks about gender things.
“I think ‘Lights Up’ came at the end of a long period of self-reflection, self-acceptance. Through the two years of making the record, I went through a lot of personal changes — I just had the conversations with myself that you don’t always have. And I just feel more comfortable being myself.” - Rolling Stone Interview
“For me it’s a very uplifting song. In some places it’s kind of dark, but to me it’s very liberating. I think, you know, over the past couple of years, it’s about self-reflection, self-discovery, and freedom. It feels very free to me which is, I guess, things that I’ve been trying to process, I guess kinda wrestled with a little over the last couple of years. It’s kinda like accepting all of those things.” - Hits Radio Interview
“The song is about freedom, self-reflection, self-discovery — things that I had thought about and wrestled with. This song is about me accepting those things.” - Capital FM Interview
from the guardian interview
“What women wear. What men wear. For me it’s not a question of that. If I see a nice shirt and get told, ‘But it’s for ladies.’ I think: ‘Okaaaay? Doesn’t make me want to wear it less though.’ I think the moment you feel more comfortable with yourself, it all becomes a lot easier.”
What do you mean, I ask?
Styles is leaning forward, hands folded around his cup of tea. “A part of it was having, like, a big moment of self-reflection. And self-acceptance.” He has a habit, when he’s made a definitive statement, of raising his chin and nodding a little, as if to decide whether he still agrees with himself. “I think it’s a very free, and freeing, time. I think people are asking, ‘Why not?’ a lot more. Which excites me. It’s not just clothes where lines have been blurred, it’s going across so many things. I think you can relate it to music, and how genres are blurring…”
that's not for nothing.

Louis & Taylor: a Unique History
As the Kim/Taylor stuff played out last night and various celebrities began to like Tweets showing support to Kim for what she did, it got me thinking about Louis’ experience with Taylor, and how unique I think that is in the industry.
