Ships with sails carried my ancestors to a better life. Whenever I see one, it carries a little bit of my heart with beauty and grace.
We need to go back to using sailing ships full time like immediately. Yes it would take longer to get places but the Aesthetic is unmatched

So very true! My first camping trip was in my parents back yard. My Old Vagabond and I spent our first road trips exploring the state where we grew up on weekends.

Travel advice: If you want to travel start with where you are. Start with the city you live in, then the city close by and that place you heard about in your country. Start small, go further. So many ppl get enamoured with other places but don't discover their surroundings. Visit family, a friend you love, yes that is a travel experience. Ask them to show you around, look up what you can see there. Travelling is not only staying in a fancy hotel near the beach. There is always beauty in diversity. Its ok to have preferences but don't think your surroundings have nothing to offer.

“I believe that kindness is the universal language. When someone does something kind it is understood despite language barriers or cultural differences. We should really communicate with kindness more often.”

“For, after all, you do grow up, you do outgrow your ideals, which turn to dust and ashes, which are shattered into fragments; and if you have no other life, you just have to build one up out of these fragments. And all the time your soul is craving and longing for something else. And in vain does the dreamer rummage about in his old dreams, raking them over as though they were a heap of cinders, looking in these cinders for some spark, however tiny, to fan it into a flame so as to warm his chilled blood by it and revive in it all that he held so dear before, all that touched his heart, that made his blood course through his veins, that drew tears from his eyes, and that so splendidly deceived him!”
— Fyodor Dostoevsky
