Just found this acc so I figured I’d try my hand at an ask! I like to think Valdemar is originally from the Middle Ages when medicine was first starting to kick off. And since that’s…..what, maybe a couple centuries before the Red Plague, it wouldn’t be surprising that their humanity is virtually impossible to recover.
