Sea Trio headcanons

Mine and @snapdrxgon-ivy headcanons for Harry, Uma, and Gil from descendants

In collaboration with @snapdrxgon-ivy

These hc contain triggering topics such as:

ED, Abuse, Child abuse/neglect, alcohol, and unhealthy coping mechanisms

Harry's Parents: Killian Hook & Morgie Le Fay.

Killian is abusive

Harry walks weird because he *cough his dad cough* broke his leg as a kid.

He needs a cane but refuses to use one because it makes him a bigger target for verbal or physical harassment.

He definitely has leg pain because of it. If Uma & Gil notice it getting really bad they force him to sit down. They often have to hold him down/sit on him (they take turns)

Gil can and will pick up Harry and make him sit if he has too. Uma can tooIt's a combination of them being really strong and Harry being light

Harry can *actually* hiss due to the Morgie Ppl outside of the trio don't know until after D3 because a human hissing honestly is more laughable than it is intimidating so Harry kept it quiet until he felt safe.

The first person he hissed at was Jay when Jay snuck up on him,

For a while as kids Carlos thought he was part cat. And he was related to Scar or something.

For years Carlos tried putting shittily made fake cat ears on Harry's head to prove himself right but kept getting caught by one of the trio. Harry bit Carlos once because of itAfter he bit Carlos, Killian found out...Harry didn't bite people again after that...

Harry has little fangs, one of which is chips because he'll chew on things while stressed

One of the main reasons Harry is so light is because he simply can't stomach most foods. Hook would disappear in his haze of misery for days at a time and Harry, feeling like he needed to be the man of the house, would always give his sisters his food if they ran out before Hook got back. Most of the time he can only eat if he's being fed + distracted, and smaller portions which really worries Uma and Gil.

Harry used to get his energy and anger out by attacking random people on the Isle (always of similar age, he's not a monster) but as he got weaker due to the previous information he started losing fights and now chooses to break things as his coping mechanism

He goes non-verbal for days at a time after Hook insults him or hits him because he's subconsciously terrified of being hurt again, Gil and Uma know that when Harry won't talk that Hook's home again.

Logically he knows his sisters suffered as much as he did but they've moved on much better than he has and sometimes he feels like he was just broken from the start which is why he can't get better like they can. Very "Feels like we had matching wounds but mine's still black and blue and yours are perfectly fine" vibes

Simultaneously, if his sisters ever showed a symptom of their trauma, Harry will blame himself for it by not redirecting Hook's anger onto himself even more and for leaving the house for days at a time just like Hook did.

Uma is an absolute PERFECTIONIST in most things, if they aren't she typically comes off as aggressive but it's really severe anxiety because she doesn't want to mess up. Her mother planted the idea in her head that if she messes up, no one will want her, which is also a reason she'll blame her screw ups on other people.

Ursula would switch between severe threats to love bombing within seconds and it's lead Uma to not really know how to trust people. Some of these interactions ranged from "I should've thrown you to the sharks before you became such a problem for me" to "Mommy could've never asked for a more perfect daughter, she just wants you to be your best self"

Loud noises are her worst enemy. Depending on the frequency or type of noise, she'll cover her ears and bury her face in Gil or Harry's chest if they're nearby, but she can't be touched during it or she'll lash out. No one knows why.

Uma claims that she learned to swim but really the correct term would probably be tortured into swimming. Ursula hated that Uma was land-favouring as a child and would drag her underwater "until she learned to love it". Uma never found that love, but she finds a twisted comfort in knowing how to swim now.

Gil isn't actually really dumb, he's uneducated. Whereas the others on the Isle were able to get some scraps of knowledge, Gil was typically shoved into a room with nothing to stimulate him and had zero care taken into his education. Uma tried tutoring him when she was younger but Gil had already taken to disassociating and nothing stuck sadly so he convinced her to give up.

Despite being a villain kid, Gil admires the heroes in the stories he was told and was desperate for someone to be the Belle to his and his friend's Beast and save them all from the Isle

Gaston didn't lose his looks when going to the Isle and would frequently have a new woman warming his bed, the distraction lead to him leaving Gil alone more frequently and most of the women weren't really the kind of people who'd take pity on a child, smacking or kicking Gil if he ever got in their way, which lead to him taking on this stupid puppy personality. Because if he was already established as a moron, could anyone blame him for being one?

Gil has scars and permanent injuries littering his body from accidents as a child, since he had no parental supervision. There were many times he had a concussion that he had to power through and force himself to stay up at night because of. It also doesn't help that it was easy for him to sneak away for lord knows how long when he was younger and get hurt from outside factors
