If you ain’t first, you’re last 😎 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So we had a pretty cool first time experience last week at Hollywood Studios. Just by chance, we were one of the first cars at the parking booths last Thursday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now we weren’t one of the first guests in the park, so you may be wondering why this even matters, but it’s always just exciting to experience something for the first time. PLUS, it also gives us the opportunity to share with you how it all worked out! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We arrived at Hollywood Studios around 7:55am and they were just starting to let cars up to the parking booth. There happened to be one empty lane, so we pulled in straight to the front of the line. We didn’t even time it this way, we were just in the right place at the right time. (If you arrive before they let you up to the parking gate, they actually have security there making everyone U-turn.) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They let us through the booth to park at 8:10am. It was great being there super early, but before we were even parked, guests from resort buses and the Skyliner were already entering the park. Now we did get a great parking spot and we did only wait about 15 minutes (basically walking through the queue) for Smugglers Run. Moral of the story, if you are staying on property, you are probably better off using resort transportation rather than driving yourself. Having a wild time at a wild place!🐸 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last week when Taylor’s family was on their Disney Vacation, we had lunch at Rainforest Café at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s been quite a long time since we dined here, so we were excited for this meal! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Rainforest Café is pretty nostalgic for us because we used to eat here or at the Disney Springs location every year on vacation. Since we moved to Florida we have tried to branch out and try new restaurants and share our experiences with all of you so it was fun coming back to an old favorite! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At the Animal Kingdom location there are two entrances, one from the outside of the theme park near security, the other entrance (pictured here) is from inside the park. Now when you do enter the restaurant, regardless of which entrance you use, if you decide to enter the park after your meal, make sure you have your park ticket with you for admission! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now I had to take a lot of pics here because I used to be obsessed with this restaurant as a child. The overall theming really immerses you into the rainforest, especially when it “storms” in the restaurant. Happy Magic Kingdom Monday!✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We are now heading into the summer months which means it’s going to be extra hot here in Florida. This is why we always take advantage of the free cups of ice water you can get in the parks! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you didn’t know, at any snack kiosk or quick service restaurant, if they serve fountain soda you can get cups of ice water for FREE! Just hanging out 😎 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Recently we entered the fascinating world of illusions at the @museumofillusions.orlando which most definitely tricked our confidence in the senses! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Museum of Illusions Orlando brings an amazing venue for both socializing and entertaining. This is the perfect spot for everyone to have new experiences and a lot of fun! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Amusing and awesome tricks will teach you about vision, perception, the human brain, and science so it will be easier to perceive why your eyes see things which your brain cannot understand. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There are some great photo ops here that we just couldn’t miss during our visit, but a few were a little confusing. Family time at the most magical place on earth!✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This past week Taylor’s family was in town for their annual Disney vacation! This was their first time back since fall 2019 and we all couldn’t have been more excited! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We spent a day at Animal Kingdom together where we rope dropped Flight of Passage and then conquered the rest of the park! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Taylor’s youngest sister Jossy was finally tall enough to ride FoP & Everest and now Expedition Everest is her favorite ride! She even got a shirt from the attraction because she was so excited about it. Steak dinner, yes please!🍴 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ A few weeks ago we dined at Bern’s Steak House in Tampa for our friend Ken’s birthday and had a great time. Bern’s is known for their steak so of course that’s what we had to order for dinner! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They have so many cuts of steak to choose from and you can’t go wrong with any of them! Each steak dinner includes a salad and French onion soup to start. Velocicoaster is now open! 🙌 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Beginning today, Velocicoaster at Universal’s Islands of Adventure if officially open! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We were fortunate enough to experience this attraction during the technical rehearsal back in May multiple times! This coaster is so smooth and is full of excitement! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This coaster loads and unloads so quickly and is able to keep the line moving at a pretty rapid pace. We also like the new restraints for this attraction because you have the freedom to put your hands in the air! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The two launches on this coaster are pretty fantastic, and so is the overall theme! This is a new attraction that you definitely don’t want to miss! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For those who are concerned about the drops and corkscrews, don’t be! Monorail Bar Crawl Crew!🍹 It’s been a little while since our last bar crawl so we figured it was time for another one! Our friends @the_magic_dads were in town and hadn’t done an “official” bar crawl yet, so it was time to show them the ropes! We did the monorail bar crawl around the Magic Kingdom monorail resorts. We started at the Contemporary, then made our way to the Polynesian, and finished off at the Grand Floridian! The bars we stopped at included: California Grill bar The Wave lounge Outer Rim Tambu lounge Enchanted Rose When doing a bar crawl, there really are no rules, so you can visit as many or as little stops as you prefer! We chose to make these 5 stops for our bar crawl, but we could’ve added the resort pool bars and Narcoossee’s bar as well. Trader Sam’s and the Tiki Terrace are two other great options once they reopen, so we will be doing another crawl to add those in later! Happy 31st Anniversary Universal Orlando! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ June 7th, 1990 began an adventure that would spawn an island and a universe that would become quite epic, as the doors to Universal Orlando opened for the first time. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After 31 years of operation, with some twists and turns along the way, Universal Orlando is looking at a bright future, built on a tremendous past. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yesterday was the 31st anniversary of the Universal Orlando Resort, but we still needed to make a post! The first time we visited Universal after moving to Florida it was very different for us, but we are so glad it has grown on us! Living the poolside life 💦 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We spent the weekend soaking up the sun and enjoying all of the resort amenities that @cariberoyaleorlando has to offer, including the pool! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The pool at Caribe Royale is the perfect spot to unwind and cool off. Whether you have an off day from the parks or were in the theme parks for the morning and you’re coming back for an afternoon refresher, this is where you want to be! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ They have a 75 foot water slide, multiple hot tubs, a kiddie splash pad, and it’s in very close proximity to the pool bar, Calypso. They even have DJs and live music on the pool deck which makes for an even more exciting time! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of our favorite features of the pool is the waterfall. Time unwind! 🧳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This weekend @cariberoyale invited us out to explore their resort and stay in one of their newly reimagined suites! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Currently, the resort is undergoing a phased renovation which includes fully remodeling all of the hotel’s one-bedroom suites, an all-new 50,000-square-foot grand ballroom and pre-function space, and an inviting new lobby. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The first tower of fully renovated suites is now open, construction on the second tower is under way, and the entire renovation is due for completion by the year’s end! Just a casual Foodie Friday🍴 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last weekend we ate at Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs for the first time, and let me tell you, it definitely won’t be the last! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We have been dying to try this place since it opened a few years back, and we finally made it happen! If you didn’t know this is a Spanish-American inspired restaurant and menu with beautiful views of the surrounding resort. We dined with our friends Donald & Eliut which is always wonderful for company and the food variety! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you decide to try out Three Bridges, we highly recommend starting with some appetizers and the Sangria Flight. When in doubt, wear red ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We had been dying to try out Bern’s Steak House in Tampa, FL for quite sometime now and we were so excited to finally visit! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bern's Steak House is one of Tampa's best-known restaurants. Family-owned since opening in 1956, this venerable steak house is legendary for its impeccable service, top-quality food, and incredible attention to detail. And they completely lived up to all of the expectations! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ First off, don't be fooled by Bern's exterior. Once you step inside the restaurant, you feel like you're in an ancient mansion with tall red walls and various portraits in the lobby area. There is a ton of history in this building and while we were waiting to be seated, the host gave us a brief history of Bern's Steak House. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now there is no video recording allowed in Bern’s so we did not film a dining review, but we took a ton of pictures so we will have a few Instagram posts dedicated to our experience! Setting sail in paradise⛵️ One of the most exciting activities we did on our trip to Sandals Grande Antigua earlier this year was sailing a Hobie Cat! The Hobie Cat is an easy- to-sail catamaran and is one of many water sports included during your stay at Sandals resorts. At Sandals Grande Antigua these are on a first come, first serve basis and you can use them as long as you want during the hours of operation. When you’re ready to set sail, you can choose to sail on your own, or you can have an guide take you out on the water. We chose to go out on our own, so the instructor gave us a 5 minute lesson on sailing. These catamarans are super easy to sail and the instructions were very simple. You are required to wear a life jacket, but the risks of flipping are pretty low as long as you follow the instructions you were given on turning your catamaran. We had so much fun out on the Hobie Cat that after sailing in the morning when they first opened, we went back out again in the afternoon before getting ready for dinner. Happiness is a sunny day ☀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Over the weekend we made a visit to Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort to film a dining review for our YouTube Channel! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We had such a wonderful afternoon just wandering around the resort enjoying the decor, all of the fountains, and the Florida sunshine! We plan on doing a @jtr_media photo session here soon because it is so beautiful! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This resort was newly re-imagined and got the addition of Gran Destino Tower! And if you didn’t know, Coronado Springs celebrates the unique blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures and is worth checking out when you have the time! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The resort is on the beautiful lake, Lago Dorado, and from three areas of the resort the three bridges meet in the middle of the lake at Villa del Lago! Another day, another Starbies!✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But this time let’s make it magical on this Magic Kingdom Monday! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We love getting Starbucks in the parks because the Disney Parks cups just give it that extra Magic touch! Aesthetically pleasing drinks help too and this drink I got did not disappoint! So thank you TikTok! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is a venti mango dragonfruit lemonade refresher, with a splash of peach juice, then I got the dragonfruit inclusions on top NOT shaken in! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When the barista first set my drink on the counter, I was like “oh no it’s ugly” 😂 but then once I picked it up, the dragonfruit inclusions on the top started to release their pink color into the drink. Then it turned into this magical ombré pink drink! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Let us know if you plan on trying this drink on your next Starbucks run! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ (PS.
