btw you will miss this in 5 or 10 years. memory will smooth these circumstances down like a river stone, and you will find yourself longing for a shade of light or a moment of this particular innocence. you don't know about what happens next, and one day that will be the most alluring thing of all. don't leave it all for nostalgia. have a nice night now, whatever night it happens to be.

I’m sure this isn’t an original thought, but I had a deep unwavering love and connection to David Lynch.
The ‘absurdity’ in his mind was something that spoke to me on such a higher level than any work has ever before.
I remember discovering Twin Peaks in highschool, I watched it twice over within a month (give or take). I remember feeling so cool and different because no one I knew (besides my very cool mum) had watched it or even knew of it.
It’s hard to articulate the connection to art, particularly when it’s something like twin peaks. That sounds unbelievably corny but it’s very real, this show and then the further discovery of the enigma that is David Lynch made me feel so settled and okay with the workings of my mind.
