Beck Propaganda
Who is Beck:
Chaos incarnate, Beck is all fire and passion. He's a character who is trapped, intrinsically, by forces beyond his control...and by his own fear. He's spent his entire life in a dead-end town and he's obsessed with anything that makes him feel alive. Usually that means risking his life. Free climbing radio towers, racing motorcycles, swimming at the top of a waterfall...anything that gets his heart racing. He feels everything up to eleven, and never sits still. Sitting around doing nothing is boring. Beck would rather die than be bored.
Beck is bold and brash and stubborn. She has issues with commitment and permanence. She's terrified of death...but not terrified enough to avoid courting it. When it comes to adrenaline, Beck loves feeling afraid. Fear is how you know you're alive. Other kinds of fear aren't nearly as appealing. She's playful, and teasing, and brave as hell.
Beck's Romance:
In a way, Beck's romance is a jumbled pile of contradictions. It's one of the fastest romances, because everything about Beck is fast. They don't wait around for anyone. They're flirty, and they're quick to let MC know that they're interested. What's the point in waiting around twirling your thumbs and pining over somebody when you could make out about it instead? On the other, Beck is terrified of commitment. Kissing someone is great--dating them is harder.
Beck's romance might be good for someone interested in a will-they-won't-they sort of romance. It will bring up a lot of feelings for Beck that they don't know what to do with. How do you let yourself fall in love with someone when the sheer thought of being in love is terrifying? They want to be with MC...nearly as much as they're scared of it. All in all, they're one of the harder ROs to pin down...for better or for worse.
Beck Inspo:

#ehehehe#i love them so much#falling in love might be scary but that doesn't mean it can't be fun too!

Perri Propaganda
Who is Perri:
Easthaven's local quirky radio host and a little bit of an anxious mess. Cryptid and conspiracy enthusiast, charming in front of a microphone, and sweet with a surprisingly steely core. Perri likes taking things apart and putting them back together. They like being dragged into exciting situations they'd be too scared to explore on their own. Music is their passion, along with the supernatural. They feel everything so deeply, and love losing themself in a good song.
Perri is full of whimsy. Despite their anxiety, they do their best to stay upbeat and try new things. They find skepticism boring. They are deeply unsatisfied with the idea of 'normal life' being all there is, and are dead-set on proving to everyone else that the supernatural is real!
Perri's Romance:
On Perri's end, their romance will be their first love. Their first everything, really. They fall a little bit in love with everybody, but MC will be different. Their romance starts out sweet and a little silly--all bubbly excitement and new experiences. A first kiss, a first date, nervously holding hands as you lay out on a blanket and watch the stars...
It's also a romance that has deeper layers. Perri's past is complex...and their future even more so. They have the attention of something so much bigger than themself. How can they not, with their relentless search for answers? The sugary-sweet parts of their romance never vanish, but there will certainly be a strain that neither they nor MC could ever expect <3
Perri Inspo:

#hell yeah hell yeah hell yeah#you're so right#i do want to kiss them so bad#sweet with a surprise twist#i can't wait

Unpopular opinion but if you don't enjoy the process you should find a different thing to do.
And I think this is true in general but now I'm talking about it in the context of AI.
If you don't enjoy making art and only care about the end piece and how it'll look and how much traction it"lol get online then making art is not something for you, find something you enjoy from start to finish.
Same goes for writing: if you do not enjoy writing and rewriting and then some more and instead want AI to write for you, being a writer is not something you should pursue.
Sure, not every part of creative process is going to be equally enjoyable but you should get satisfaction from solving the problems along the way and you should get a sense of accomplishment on your way of "making the piece yours" and you should have a sense of ownership once you are done.
None of these things will come from typing in a prompt into chatGPT. And I am sad to see so many people are missing on the opportunity to experience the joy of making something with their own hands and brains.
#i write because i love every part of the process#i love writing#i love proofreading#i love editing#i love that moment after hitting a wall when i finally come up with the solution#i will never understand the desire to offload these tasks onto a program that doesn't even truly know what it's doing#(literally spellcheck will suggest changes that are straight up incorrect and you can't tell me that generative AI is much better)#even if i was bad at proofreading or editing or whatever#i'd rather have another person help with that#even when my writing is bad it's still mine#i wouldn't have it any other way

the water loves me more than any man, woman, mother, father, son, daughter, friend or lover ever could. it’s grasp is tender it’s embrace warm and gentle, even when it steals my final breath away the water loves me.
👁
Do you ever get a bloody nose and see the blood splatter on the bathroom counter before you can stop it and look down at it, so red and so violent and still know that it is a part of you? A part of you left behind, a mess, an inconvenience, and yet a part of you all the same?
Have you ever looked down at something small and fragile and inconsequential and loved it? Even as you held it between your fingers and knew it would take nothing to break it to pieces in your hands? How does it feel, to be salvation and destruction all at once?
What does it mean to be loved?
#this is burrowing so deep inside my brain rn#i can't believe you would do this to me specifically#oh the urge to write a poem#hopefully i can find the words

There are people – some in my own Party – who think that if you just give Donald Trump everything he wants, he’ll make an exception and spare you some of the harm. I’ll ignore the moral abdication of that position for just a second to say — almost none of those people have the experience with this President that I do. I once swallowed my pride to offer him what he values most — public praise on the Sunday news shows — in return for ventilators and N95 masks during the worst of the pandemic. We made a deal. And it turns out his promises were as broken as the BIPAP machines he sent us instead of ventilators. Going along to get along does not work – just ask the Trump-fearing red state Governors who are dealing with the same cuts that we are. I won’t be fooled twice.
I’ve been reflecting, these past four weeks, on two important parts of my life: my work helping to build the Illinois Holocaust Museum and the two times I’ve had the privilege of reciting the oath of office for Illinois Governor.
As some of you know, Skokie, Illinois once had one of the largest populations of Holocaust survivors anywhere in the world. In 1978, Nazis decided they wanted to march there.
The leaders of that march knew that the images of Swastika clad young men goose stepping down a peaceful suburban street would terrorize the local Jewish population – so many of whom had never recovered from their time in German concentration camps.
The prospect of that march sparked a legal fight that went all the way to the Supreme Court. It was a Jewish lawyer from the ACLU who argued the case for the Nazis – contending that even the most hateful of speech was protected under the first amendment.
As an American and a Jew, I find it difficult to resolve my feelings around that Supreme Court case – but I am grateful that the prospect of Nazis marching in their streets spurred the survivors and other Skokie residents to act. They joined together to form the Holocaust Memorial Foundation and built the first Illinois Holocaust Museum in a storefront in 1981 – a small but important forerunner to the one I helped build thirty years later.
I do not invoke the specter of Nazis lightly. But I know the history intimately — and have spent more time than probably anyone in this room with people who survived the Holocaust. Here’s what I’ve learned – the root that tears apart your house’s foundation begins as a seed – a seed of distrust and hate and blame.
The seed that grew into a dictatorship in Europe a lifetime ago didn’t arrive overnight. It started with everyday Germans mad about inflation and looking for someone to blame.
I’m watching with a foreboding dread what is happening in our country right now. A president who watches a plane go down in the Potomac – and suggests — without facts or findings — that a diversity hire is responsible for the crash. Or the Missouri Attorney General who just sued Starbucks – arguing that consumers pay higher prices for their coffee because the baristas are too “female” and “nonwhite.” The authoritarian playbook is laid bare here: They point to a group of people who don’t look like you and tell you to blame them for your problems.
I just have one question: What comes next? After we’ve discriminated against, deported or disparaged all the immigrants and the gay and lesbian and transgender people, the developmentally disabled, the women and the minorities – once we’ve ostracized our neighbors and betrayed our friends – After that, when the problems we started with are still there staring us in the face – what comes next.
All the atrocities of human history lurk in the answer to that question. And if we don’t want to repeat history – then for God’s sake in this moment we better be strong enough to learn from it.
I swore the following oath on Abraham Lincoln’s Bible: “I do solemnly swear that I will support the constitution of the United States, and the constitution of the state of Illinois, and that I will faithfully discharge the duties of the office of Governor .... according to the best of my ability.
My oath is to the Constitution of our state and of our country. We don’t have kings in America – and I don’t intend to bend the knee to one. I am not speaking up in service to my ambitions — but in deference to my obligations.
If you think I’m overreacting and sounding the alarm too soon, consider this:
It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic. All I’m saying is when the five-alarm fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.
Those Illinois Nazis did end up holding their march in 1978 – just not in Skokie. After all the blowback from the case, they decided to march in Chicago instead. Only twenty of them showed up. But 2000 people came to counter protest. The Chicago Tribune reported that day that the “rally sputtered to an unspectacular end after ten minutes.” It was Illinoisans who smothered those embers before they could burn into a flame.
Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance. Democracy requires your courage. So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let the “tragic spirit of despair” overcome us when our country needs us the most.

If you don’t mind answering, what kind of overall time scale do you plan for the story take place over? As in, on the scale of days, weeks, months, etc? Thanks!
I don't mind answering!! Don't hold me to this, because things could be tweaked, but currently the planned time-frame for the game is around 1-2 months. Probably closer to one, in all honesty. Once the party gets going, plot-wise, things start going down fast.
#mc: this year i've spent in easthaven has been the longest in my entire life#everyone else: mc you've only been here for two months

that last reblog has me thinking about how fucking excited i am for things to get messy. i love bad people. i love good people who do bad things. i love people who are neither good nor bad but who are deeply selfish. i love characters who allow themselves to be so ruled by fear or grief or regret that it turns them into something terrible. i love allowing MC the choice to love those people anyway. in spite of it, or maybe even because of it.

Me when Amir ripped the Deputy Mayor's heart out: Omg is he going to eat it?? That would be so hot
MC: *very grossed out* No! Don't do it!
Skill issue, honestly
jk I know I'm a freak
girl (gnc) same
With TCM i'm really interested in kinda the border between monstrous and mundane so I knew Amir especially needed a really carnal moment. It's funny because Amir actually pre-existed TCM as plain ol' OC of mine (who was simply a human guy with incredible, weaponized charisma) but when I started to think about turning him into a demon and TCM started formulating in my head I just immediately wanted him to seduce people and also eat people (not always the same people... but sometimes....). So its in his early notes, its in his beta/concept chapter, and FINALLY its in the real game \o/
Of course different MCs will react different ways and I do my best to accommodate that as much as possible but I tried to leave a strong vibe that MC was more freaked out by him crossing the border into "full monster" so readily and also with the added freakiness of him doing it while looking so beautifully human lol
#mc's reaction makes total sense#i'm the spiders georg in this scenario i think#i mean#normal people when their loved ones commit monstrous acts: *distraught*#me: damn. ngl tho that WAS pretty hot 👀#loved the chapter so so so much#this game is so good#and the characters are fantastic#amir and raath are my faves#i love pretty men and also psychos what can i say#tri city monsters

I can't stop thinking about a j/r poly where the trio adopt a cat together and watch ravi slowly fall in love with it 🥺
Ahhhh this is such a sweet mental image!! Jay (and most likely MC) loving the cat immediately and Ravi giving 'dad who didn't want a pet' only to gradually come to adore it...Ravi and the cat being best friends...this is so cute haha.
#obviously ravi becomes the cat's favorite immediately#he complains about it but he tolerates it#until one day he loves that cat just as much as it loves him#he still complains though#and says he doesn't#chronic liar that he is#actions speak louder than words ravi#we all know you love that cat#i feel like he talks to the cat like a person too#full-blown one-sided conversations about the weirdest stuff#the cat meows at him and he treats it like a response
