think about it this way. stranger things will either have a beautiful slowburn romance with closeted gay characters and character development that shows realistic portrayels of characters discovering themselves or "young girl falls for the first boy she met that isn't either a parental figure or sibling - ajacent." which one seems more endgame to you.

can someone please write a fanfiction of every season of stranger things in robin's perspective. just like she's living her best lesbian life and then some kid goes missing?? oh well. and then some girl in her year (grade? idk america) goes missing (and it's nancy wheeler's best friend she knows who nancy is 😭 gay ass) and she's just like whoops this is scary WE CARRY ON and then season 2 rolls around and life's kinda normal for her i mean there's some funky shit going on she keeps hearing these weird ass noises and she thought she saw a funky dog thinh outside once and she's definately questioning what's up bc she's robin but, you know, hawkins has always been an odd place. they build a new mall and she gets a job there and bullies her coworker and it's a vibe, when suddenly there's a russian code? okay you know what she's just gonna roll with it so she decodes it because the two boys are STUPID and it all leads to her getting stuck in a FUCKING RUSSIAN ELEVATOR which was not on the bingo list for 1985 but anyway what can she do and dustin and steve are acting weird and she know's there's something else going on here but honestly she just wants to get out and then the russians are doing some WEIRD shit (there's a crack in the wall? why is there a fuckinh CRACK in the wall) oh and suddebly she's been threatened by russians who ask her who she's working for which she did NOT sign up for she just wanted money and free ice cream. shit goes down and she ends up high and it's a bit blurry but she THINKS she tells steve that she's a lesbian which. okay. and then so much shit is going down there's a fucking SUPERPOWERED KID who's like 14 what the fuck and there's a weird ass flesh monster so she goes to a hill with the people she was just stuck in a russian base with (she wants to go home cmon 😭😭) and she doesn't really get what's happening but look at that, dustin's singing, and somehow they win but some random ass ginger kid she's never seen in her life lost her brother so rip him ig. fast forward to a year later, she's got a new less russian filled job and VICKEYYEUIW8W and all the crazy supernatural shit is done with except it's NOT because people are DYING and there's some random kid who she thinks MIGHT be in her maths class being accused of murder (?!??!?!) anyway one of the children she's friends with is dying so she has to visit the prison of a mass murderer, makes up a whole elaborate story whilst wearing the most uncomfertabke clothes known to MAN and then somehow gets out a mental facility (she's not entirely sure how) oh and there's a DEMON now what the fuck and at this point she's really wishing for simpler days becausr what has she gotten herself into (?!??!?!?!?) and she somehow ends up visiting an ALTERNATE DIMENSION, communicating fro. that dimension, almost dying several times and NOT achieveing the goal, plus the child basically dies anyway and so basically they're fucked oh and nancy's gay ass brother returns from fucking CALIFORNIA he got out at the WR9NG TIME oh and superpower girl is back hell yeah and now she's stuck with the apocalyse looming over her head and it's the fault of the FUCKING ICE CREAM SHOP??!?!?!?!

what if. what if i wrote a stranger things au where it's just one massive crackfic. everything that happens in the show happens but with the funkiest explainations for it. will goes missing? nah hes on a week long nature retreat with this random guy he found in the woods. will is seeing into another world? he has glasses that accidentally have coloured lenses and he didn't realise. el goes missing? she's stuck in an intense game of monopoly with hopper and can't leave until it's done. russians under hawkins mall? they're planning a massive secret fourth of july party. evil scary murderer guy killing kids? he's just a very ambitious theatre director. it would be FANTASTIC

byler has to be canon s5! view it this way: throughout s1, s2, and s3, they slowly built mileven, and it all culminated in el's "i love you" at the end of s3. but mike doesn't look happy when she says it. he looks confused. very not happy.

that's a bad quality photo, but you can see it. that's not the face of someone whose girlfriend - who he loves - has just told him she loves him back.

and this is expanded on in the "from mike." not "love mike." 'mike can't say it' yeah but if he feels it and can't say it, surely in the scene above, he'd be happier?

my theory is that they're deliberately deescelating mileven just when will confesses his love to mike. they're making room for byler. and that is why byler canon s5!!
