Does anyone else have a feminization ray enabled in their heads when it comes to making characters?
Every single time I try to make a male character for a story, for whatever reason, my brain will immediately do a double-think and hit the same character with what I like to call the 'feminization ray' and constantly ask itself just what kind of story I can make if I use the original idea on a woman. It has gotten to the point where I can name exactly two characters I have made that have remained male.
I think my brain is force femming my characters...

What I find the funniest about the Bubble Bass order episode is that if you pay close attention to Squidward, you can see that he is writing the order until he says '4x4 animal style' that's when Squidward does a double take. This means that not only he understood what he was saying, he was also willing to say no to a client so that Spongebob wouldn't make *that* atrocity

This letter concerns all employees of Earth, from us the Managment
It is with our deepest warmest and sincerest regards that we proudly announce the ending of another fiscal semester, well, to us at any rate, to you, this is the end of a year.
Performance stayed within the expected quality from the contract you all signed when you agreed to enter this planet. However, we have received several complaints from some divisions that your result was supbar.
Given the severity of them, we regret to inform you that we will be making the next semester harder on all of you as an incentive for better perfomance.
We hope this letter reaches you well and we shall meet you again at a later date.
Best Regards, Management.

You all think that overtly evil characters tend to grow stale after a while? Like, once a character is already shown as the lowest human being possible and the hero refuses to kill them or the writer wants to keep them alive, how do you even go on with that sort of evil character?
They added a new henchwoman for Joker in DC to fill in the gap that existed after Harley gradually became an anti-hero, except for the fact that they removed any sympathy from this new henchwoman and made her fully on board with the Joker because she is an anarchist or whatever.
Why the hell should I care about that?
Why, on God's green Earth, would it be a good idea to make a female version of the Joker?
The Joker is so repetitevely Evil that it takes a morally grey character to make him have depht, his plots are repetitive, his MO is usually just doing fucked up shit or one upping fucked shit to keep a game of cat-and-mouse with Batman that it is hard to imagine an evil thing he hasn't done already.
Adding a henchwoman who obeys his every whims because she wants to does nothing more than just create another villain for Batman, only this time, with shallower dephts than Joker.

I want to see the next Greek Mythology series to have puns more often, some of the names and set ups are just good and not often used even when the gods are modernized.
Example:
"Why did the God Of Music receive a sacrifice of Chicken Nuggets?"
"Because they sacrificed a pollo to Apollo."

You know, I kind of want to see a reconstruction of a 90s anti-hero. So that he has more personality than just violence, huge guns and a trenchcoat. We have seen enough deconstructions of this archetype just being an unstable sociopath that I am kind of wondering how a reconstruction of this archetype would be like.

If there's one thing I have grown to despise is how people confuse the word "realism" with "overt and brutal violence and nihilism".
Realism just means whenever a work of fiction has a degree of *reality* in it, or elements that you could see happening in real life. Nihilism and Brutal Violence are elements of real life, to be sure, but to claim that everyone is absolutely awful when given a chance is just flat out wrong.
Worm did, in 2011, a better job at tackling realism in superheroes than The Boys did in 2019. Simply because, at least in Worm, whilst people can become Villains due to their triggers and they do outnumber the heroes, not every superpowered person lets that get them and becomes a superhero.
The Boys on the other hand flat out mocks and belitles the viewer for daring to think that people with powers trying to do good was ever anything more than just a pipe dream. After seeing so many supes being either assholes, rapists, racists and murderers, it begs the question of why exactly creating a thing that kills them is a bad decision.
Frankly, I am surprised the world of The Boys stood as long as it did.

You know, I got interested in learning Sindarin a few times but every time I tried looking it up, I would run into the same argument:
"Tolkien didn't make a complete language"
And I just find this rather funny because there is no such a thing as a complete language irl. A language is a part of the culture of a group and therefore, the only way for it to become "complete" would be if every speaker of that language died off and their civilization crumbled.
So we can safely say that Tolkien *did* create a complete language: The Black Speech of Mordor, which is as complete as it gets since the only 10 beings who knew how to speak it are all dead and the rest won't ever say a word about it again.

wildbow: creates world in which people gain superpowers based on the worst day of your life made permanent manifest.
Worm fans: yeah, I think I will stay out of this one, thanks.
I was thinkin it’s weird that worm fans don’t really try to assign what their powers would be if they were worm characters bc people do that for everything else. And then I was like ‘well when would I have triggered , now I just have to examine that very thoroughly’ and anyway I understand why we don’t do that. Good call people
