just curious, what's the story behind your @?
It is actually a quote from Parks and Recreation, which is the fandom I was in at the time I created this blog all the way back in 2012. I've never changed it and, after this long, I don't think I ever will!
I don't know if you're familiar with the show, but if not, it's basically a show about the Parks department of a town in Indiana. At the end of season 2, the city government is struggling financially, and they bring a couple new characters in as state auditors (one of whom happens to be played by Rob Lowe! I find it funny that, without even trying, I ended up deeply obsessed with two shows involving him 🤭)
But the quote is said by the other new character, Ben Wyatt. The main character, Leslie Knope, is making a passionate plea for the state auditors to not callously slash the budget of the city government, saying:
"These are real people in a real town, working in a real building, with real feelings."
And Ben replies:
That's me!
#anon ask#i'm actually doing a Parks rewatch right now for the first time in YEARS#and i got almost unreasonably excited when i got to this scene 🤭

John J. Gray is directing episode 11 “Impact”
#someone found this 5x11 call sheet and posted it on reddit one year ago today 😂#i was just thinking that if we hadn't seen this we wouldn't have found out about ASTEROID as the final emergency until december#as it was we knew in june 🤭#i remember poring over this for HOURS while googling information about how to read call sheets#aside from the asteroid we also learned from this call sheet:#miles mckenna was playing Jax--a character who was going to be at the firehouse#Parker Young was playing a Ranger Campbell--I believe that was the very first time we heard that name!#Tommy was the only one not present at the firehouse during a clearly major event#Owen had 'no one to call' at the end of the season--meaning most likely he wasn't in a relationship#Owen had some kind of announcement for the 126 right before they found out about the incoming asteroid#mateo and nancy were almost certainly still together since it says mateo blows nancy a kiss#and the title of episode 11 was impact#really that's A LOT of information to get from a single sheet of paper#i miss the days of theorizing and piecing together bts SO BAD 😭

Introducing... the 9-1-1: Lone Star Episode Bracket Challenge!
In the spirit of March Madness brackets, fill out your own 9-1-1: Lone Star Episode Bracket with YOUR picks for each episode match-up!
Throughout the rewatch, we'll be posting polls for you to vote on each episode match-up, until we ultimately crown an episode as the BEST episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star!
▶ Each episode was given a bracket seeding #1-16 based on each episode’s IMDb user rating score (at the time this was put together). Match-ups were then made in traditional tournament style with #1 vs. #16, #2 vs. #15, etc. ▶ Polls will run from July 7th to November 10th with 4 polls posted each week, one for each region in the bracket, poll duration will be one week to give people time to vote. ▶ Everyone is encouraged to fill out their own “bracket” with their picks for each match-up and which episode YOU think is the BEST 9-1-1: Lone Star Episode and share your reasons why! ▶ Each poll will be tagged with #911LSBracketChallenge if you want to filter the posts for any reason. Feel free to use the tag to talk about your personal choices or any match-ups throughout the Bracket Challenge. ▶ Under the cut you'll find the bracket broken down into regions for easier viewing. Feel free to save any of these and re-post them with your choices on them! Please tag or link to our blog so people can find the blank versions for themselves. ▶ This was created by @guardian-angle22 and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out!
