My Altair, Your Vega
This is my rewrite of My Altair. There was some things I wasn't too happy with, so I'm going to fix that. Please enjoy and let me know what you think. This is gonna be more angsty than the original one. Let me know if you guys want a tag list for this story.
Tumblr media
The music was loud. Not too loud to alert the neighbors as to what was going on, but loud enough that (Y/N) couldn’t hear her own thoughts. The alcohol she had consumed helped in that endeavor as well. She didn’t even know whose party this was, she had just overheard some guys talking about it at lunch. Stumbling into the kitchen area to grab another cup of whatever concoction the host made, she felt her phone vibrate in her pocket for what felt like the millionth time. Pulling it out she frowned at the caller id. Tetsu<3. With a swift motion she sent him to voicemail and went back to chugging her cup. This was the 20th missed call from him alone. Yaku and her brother had been trying to get ahold of her all night. She felt bad about leaving everyone in the dark, but she didn’t want to talk to anyone on the Nekoma team now. Even if that meant her own brother.
Dancing with a total stranger was something that (Y/N) never would have seen herself doing. Then again, managing her younger brother's volleyball team was also something she had no intention of doing until it happened. She never bothered to even ask the guy his name, not that he really cared either. She was having a good time. Forgetting the events of the past two weeks was easy when you surround yourself with things you typically don’t do. Upon taking another drink, she was disappointed to find that it was once again empty. Walking back to the kitchen to grab another drink she was yanked back into someone's chest.
She turned around to yell at the person who manhandled her, only to have her courage to disappear. Her (E/C) eyes locked on to the hardened orbs of her attacker, or savoir depending on when you ask about the situation. His usually spiky hair was down like he had just gotten out of bed. Dressed in a pair of grey sweats and his iconic Fukutodani volleyball jacket. She gulped as  Bokuto glared down at the (E/C) eyed girl, only to soften his look when he noticed her eyes. They were red and puffy like she had been crying. With a heavy sigh, Bokuto pulled the girl out of the party, ignoring her telling him to let go.
“Not gonna happen.” he grumbled as the pair exited the house and began to trek down the road. “I got frantic calls from both Kuroo and Kenma saying you disappeared and had been ignoring anyone's calls. Even Yaku and Kai were worried about you. Everyone thought you were kidnapped or worse, yet here you are trying to kill your liver.” Anyone listening in could tell that he was angry. Whether it was because he got woken up, or because he was also worried, no one could tell which.
“Why do they care now?” she mumbled as she let herself be dragged along. Too busy lost in her grumbling she hadn't noticed that the mountain in front of her stopped moving. She smacked into his back with a grunt. “What the hell? Why’d you stop so suddenly?”
“What do you mean why?” he asked while turning around. She was about to respond before he cut her off again. “They always care about you! Especially Kenma.” Realizing what he was referring to, she let out a humorless laugh.
“Do they? They have a funny way of showing it.” Bokuto was about to respond when his phone rang. “Let me guess, it’s Kuroo wondering where his ‘Best friend’ is. Oh, sorry I’m not actually, I forgot that title belongs to Kenma. I’m just the side piece that’s kept around for convivence. Even then once Akemi confessed her love for him, I was pushed to the side. Yeah, he must really miss me.” she seethed out. She felt something drip down her cheek, and realized that in the middle of her rant, she must have started crying. Bokuto noticed too. With a sigh he looked at this phone that hadn't stopped ringing. Akaashi
“Hey.” he greeted while waiting for his friend to respond. He never stopped looking into (Y/N) eyes. Whatever Kuroo did really hurt her.
“Have you heard from her yet?”
“Yeah, Shes with me. I’m gonna try and sober her up before bringing her home. Whatever happened she found a party and drank at least half of it. Shes pretty upset right now.”
“Thank goodness. I’ll text Kenma and let him know Shes safe. Has she said anything as to why she ran off?”
“No.” It surprised her that he would lie to his friend like that. “Let everyone else know she's safe as well. Talk to you later.”
After he hung up, he gently grabbed her hand and led her to the nearest convince store. She sat on the bench outside while he ran in. She looked up to the sky and frowned. Lost in thought she didn’t hear Bokuto sit next to her, nor did she noticed the water and onigiri he purchased for her.
Tumblr media
“You mad at the sky now?” he jokingly asked.
“The city makes it impossible to view the stars.” she numbly responded. She looked down at the food he got her and mumbled a quiet thanks before eating. “Normally you can see all sorts of constellations. Virgo, the big dipper. But here, all you can see if smog and the residual glow from all the lights. It's disappointing.” she muttered in-between bites. He looked at her with surprise in his eyes.
“I didn’t know you were into stars. What’s your favorite constellation?” her eyes widened as she turned her gaze from the sky to him. Tears started to well up in her eyes again and he feared that he asked the wrong thing. She blinked and found her hands and the onigiri wrapped more interesting.
“It doesn't matter. Its dull and no one wants to hear about it.” her voice quivered. She wrapped her arms around herself as he felt herself sobering up. Before she had a chance to get up and make the walk home, she felt a piece of cloth draped over her shoulders. (E/C) eyes met gold and she glanced back up.
“It matters to you. You were sad you couldn’t see them, so I figured it might be important to you. I always notice after games you look up to the sky.” If she was in her right state of mind, she would have noticed the little bit of pink that dusted his cheeks. She put her arms through the sleeves of the jacket and turned her gaze back to the sky.
“Did you know, you’re the first person to ever ask me about it? Kuroo sees me looking and tries to hurry me back to the gym or the bus, depending on where the match is at. Kenmas too busy with his games to notice. I asked them to take me stargazing once, both were too busy to even consider the idea. That’s why it took me by surprise when you said that they were worried about me. They never cared before. I didn’t even want to be the stupid manager of the team. I never cared about volleyball.” She stopped after that and glanced back to Bokuto. “No offence. I know you love the game, and it makes you happy.” She was about to start crying again before she abruptly stood up. “Anyway, you went through all this trouble, can you walk me home please?”
He obliged, easily. It broke his heart to hear how broken she sounded. Had they never asked what her interests were? Anyone who seen her at night would have noticed how her eyes were drawn to the sky. The walk to her house was silent, except for the small sniffles coming from her. Halfway through the walk he ended up taking her hand so she wouldn’t trip, it happened a few times already. Once they reached the walkway, she took off the jacket he loaned her.
“Thank you for walking me home, and for lending me your jacket. It was sweet of you. I’m sorry for everything.” She gave a small smile before turning to go into the house.
“(Y/N!)” Bokuto called out to her. Once she turned around, he gave her a bright smile. “Let's go stargazing sometime, ok?” She gave a small smile in return, still not having the mental strength.
“I’d like that.”

Update:
So my hard drive got corrupted a while back and had to completely wipe my computer. Games, pictures and documents were lost. I thought saving my stories to the computer would be safe but alas I was mistaken lol.
I'm slightly discouraged because I lost my buck story and my iwaizumi story. I don't know if if should start them over or create a new one. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
In the meantime I'll probably write a few ones hots here and there.

Trash
Im straight trash and am starting a new series. Not sure how long its gonna be, but I'm disappointed in the lack of 9-1-1 x reader stories out there. Im giving my boy Buck some love with this new story. Its also gonna be a slight bones crossover, but wont stay accurate to the Bones storyline. I just want the characters lol

My World
Hello everyone and welcome to my new story. Based VERY LOOSLY on Shameless because I only saw one clip and it gave my inspiration. {Sorry for the crappy title I’m not that creative Dx} Disclaimer: I do not own Haikyuu or Shameless Character: Hajime Iwaizumi Genre: Angst with fluff Warnings: None for this chapter
Tumblr media
Mornings in the {L/N} household were usually calm and organized. Yuki and Shouta would be dressed for school and and {Y/N} would have had breakfast ready to go. Usually. Today was not that day. A certain older sibling had forgotten to set an alarm, causing the usually calm mornings to erupt into pure and utter chaos. “YUKI, SHOUTA lets go!” {Y/N} Hollered up the stairs. She clicked her tongue as she got their backpacks together. Slipping the bentos that she had made up last night. She was about to holler again when two sets of footsteps came down the stairs. She let out a sigh of relief as she slipped jackets onto the smaller kids. “No breakfast today?” Yuki's blue eyes bore into her older sisters eyes. This question was not said with any ill intent, but out of childlike curiosity. {Y/N} felt her heart break at the question and just shook her head. “Not today baby, but I promise tomorrow I will wake up bright and early and make you your favorites ok?” Earning a nod of approval from both kids. “Now, were all running late and all I have right now are pop tarts. I'm really sorry guys.” Handing them each a package she made a mental note to buy more just in case. After ushering both kids out of the house and on their way to the school she ran back inside to get her purse and work jacket. In her attempt to lock the door quickly she dropped the keys. As she was leaning down to get them her phone rang. She groaned and answered without looking. “Hello?” she grumbled into the phone. Hoping whoever it was on the other end could sense her frustrations. “That's not very friendly {Y/N}-Chan. And here I was calling to give you good news.” She froze hearing that voice. Almost breaking into tears. “I'm running late for work ShittyKawa, better make it fast.” came her snarky reply, hoping that he didn't hear the break in her voice. She looked at her watch and began to make her way to the train station. Running was no longer an option and she hoped she didn't get fired. Not that she was usually late, but that was always her fear. “Ignoring the out of pocket behavior from you,” So he did notice, she thought, “Me and Iwa-chan will be coming home for a little bit. He’s out of school for spring break, and the team gave us a month vacation!” He finished with a huge smile on his face. She couldn't help but smile. She missed her boys so much. “You both get to buy me lunch for leaving me!” she decided. “For all my pain and suffering.” “Says you Miss Tokyo U!” he laughed along with her. Upon hearing those the weight of everything came crashing back down. “Anyway 'Kawa, I am late for work so I gotta get off. Love and miss you both!” She said and hung up without waiting for a reply. Once on the train she let her thoughts take over. She knew that he would be worried, because her behavior was indeed off, but how was she supposed to tell him that she didn't go to Tokyo U and was taking online classes at night from a local community college? How was she supposed to tell her best friend and boyfriend that her mother up and left leaving her two kid siblings in her care? Sitting down on the seat she glanced out the window. “How do I tell you my life fell apart when yours just began?” She whispered. Hearing her phone buzz she glanced back down at her lap. It was a message from Hajime's mother.
Don't worry about the kids. I'll make sure they come here after school. Take care of yourself as well {Y/N}. She owed that woman so much, and she fully intended to pay her and her husband back.
Tumblr media
Oikawa starred at his phone. There was something in the way that she spoke to him. He sighed and closed his eyes. Before he could even form a thought the smell of coffee was right in his face. Opening his eyes he noticed his best friend with two cups. “You are the best Iwa-Chan!” she grinned taking the cup from him. “Yeah yeah. Did you tell her?” Iwaizumi asked him. Oikawa just nodded at him. Before freezing up. “Whats that look for Shittykawa?” “I may not have told her we would be home tonight?” Iwaizumi just starred at him, reminding him of high school. “Well just have to swing by Tokyo to see her tomorrow. It'll be a surprise.” He waved his hand brushing off his mistake. He was supposed to mention that but he was distracted by the break in her voice. “Iwa, have to talked to her recently?” he asked gently. “Its been a few weeks. I called her during finals week and she sounded stressed. To be honest I've been worried about her. My mom wont tell me anything besides its been stressful for her. Not sure what that means. I hope I can take away some of that stress.” Before either boy got a chance to say anything, their flight was called and they boarded the plane.
Tumblr media
Nine o'clock rolled around and {Y/N} walked up to the Iwaizumi's door. They had always lived on the same street so it made picking up her siblings pretty easy. When she walked up the steps she didn't even have a chance to knock on the door. Mai Iwaizumi smiled at her and called for the two kids. “Thank you so much for letting them come over today. I promise I'll be off in time to be home for them tomorrow. They just-” “I've told you before its ok. Besides I love these two like my own children. Now, they have eaten so don't let them trick you, and their homework is complete.” {Y/N} Just smiled at the woman. She had always looked up to this woman, hoping one day that this could be her mother. Before the two could converse more, her two siblings barreled into her giving her a bone crushing hug. The four of them just laughed and {Y/N} waved and led the two kids home. Upon reaching their destination they all hurried inside. {Y/N} took their backpacks and sent them upstairs to change and get ready for bed. Dropping her own stuff off at the kitchen table she pulled the empty bento boxes out of the backpacks. She placed them in the sink and silently made a vow to wash them later. She headed upstairs into her own bedroom, ignoring the empty master bedroom to the right of hers. She was about to slip out of her work shirt when she heard her name being called from the room over. Heading on over she noticed both kids curled up in Shouta's bed. Smiling she headed into the room and crouched down by the bed. “Whats up guys?” she asked softly, with a gentle smile on her face. Shouta just got a wide smile on his face. “We played volleyball today in PE and the teacher said I have a talent for it. I was wondering if there was anyway I could join the volleyball club.” Shouta asked. {Y/N}'s smile dropped a bit before she  placed a hand on his head. “I know you wanna play volleyball Sho, I understand, I do. But we just cant afford it right now.” she said softly, stoking the little boys head. His smile vanished but he just nodded his head. Money had been tight and his sister was working two jobs just to pay bills and put food on the table. Shouta mumbled a goodnight before rolling over and pulling the blanket over his head. {Y/N} Sighed and picked up Yuki and took her to the girls own room. The smaller girl watched as her sister tucked her in. “Hey {N/N?}” she quietly called causing the older girl to look at her. Yuki may have been only nine years old, but she could just see the sadness in her sisters eyes. “Do you think mommy will ever come home?” {Y/N} felt her heart break. She gently smiled and rubbed the top of Yuki's head. “I don't know baby. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.” She bent down to give her a kiss on the head. “Night Yu.” she said quietly closing the door. She peeked into Shouta's room to see that he was sound asleep. She smiled softly before closing his door and heading downstairs. She sat down at the kitchen table and put her head in her hands. Some days all she wanted to do was break down and cry, but that voice in the back of her head told her to be strong. She stood up and quietly made herself some food. Taking a glance at the coffee pot she debated whether or not to make a cup. Deciding against it because of the chaos this morning she grabbed her plate and headed on up to her room to work on schoolwork. When she sat down she noticed that she had missed messages on her phone.
Haji: Hey you up? Haji: If you are awake can you call me so I can hear your voice? I miss you. Looking at the time she decided against calling him. It wasn't that she was ignoring him, she just didn't know what to say and it was getting late. After setting a few alarms on her phone, to make sure they get up on time, she quickly set off on finishing up her essay for class. It wasn't the degree she wanted but right now she couldn't be picky. She needed to get a better job to provide for her siblings. And she was determined that she was gonna do right by them, unlike their mother. She glanced at the photo beside her laptop. It was her and her dad when she was 14. How she missed him. Fate worked in cruel ways sometimes and taking her father had been the cruelest to her. She shook her head to get rid of all the sad thoughts swirling around in her head. She would have all the time in the world to mope once she finished school. Once she did that she would work on getting the kids out of Miyagi and to a place where everyone wouldn't look at them in pity. Its the kids whose mother abandoned them. She wanted a place where they wouldn't look at her in pity. She didn't want to be known as the girl who turned down a full ride scholarship to Tokyo University anymore.

Five Hints
Tumblr media
Five hints that Iwaizumi unintentionally gave you that he was cheating on you.
The way his eyes scanned across the room before his games, seemingly landing on something else before they met yours.
Usually, he found you immediately, looking through the crowd without a pause until his eyes met yours. A small smile sent your way and a kiss blown from you, and he was ready to spike every ball that came his way. Except somehow, it felt like his eyes paused briefly this time, looking somewhere else before he met yours. His smile was smaller, and he looked away before you could blow him his kiss. You chalked it up as his nerves. At least, that was what you thought the first few times. After that, you simply told yourself that was the case to give yourself hope, trying desperately to fill the hole in your heart. His passion wasn’t something he looked forward to sharing with you anymore. He didn’t seek out your reassurance, didn’t feel safe under your gaze anymore. You wanted to be the one he turned to during moments of doubt, to be the one he trusted, just like he was for you. And you were at one point. There was a time where only you could bring a smile to his face, or calm him when he was worked up. But it seemed Iwaizumi no longer seemed to need that from you, you two had shifted from leaning on each other to standing with a gap in the middle. No matter how far you reached, you couldn’t seem to fill that gap, Iwaizumi was just too far away.
The way he began to miss FaceTime calls more and more frequently or hung up not long after.
Your biggest source of comfort on the weekends was FaceTiming your boyfriend and knocking out homework together. It soothed the stress piling up and gave you a chance to tell each other more intimate things, whether it be secrets, or thoughts you couldn’t always say at school in the presence of others. But now, you often found yourself with “FaceTime Unavailable” as the only thing on your screen these days. At first, he used to at least text a quick apology that he was exceptionally busy this weekend, or that he was with friends. The effort wasn’t even made anymore, he was almost never available to speak with you. And on those rare days that he did pick up, the ache was soothed for only a little bit before he quickly made up some excuse and hung up. He didn’t want to spend hours on call with you, didn’t feel entertained to speak with you anymore, it was almost a chore to him. That much was obvious to you, but it stung too bad, and you held onto the hope that he’d still look at you with the same soft expression once more.
The way he stopped inviting you to come see his friends with him, not making every excuse to see you anymore.
Once upon a time, you were Iwaizumi’s soft spot. The teasing opportunity that the boys could take without any retaliation on his part. He invited you to hangouts, asked you to come tag along for snacks after practice, and had you sit at lunch with him alongside his friends. You’d slowly grown close to each one, feeling like you’d integrated into their small group. But now, it felt like you were slowly being pushed out, by the one who pulled in nonetheless. Iwaizumi didn’t look forward to you coming along anymore, didn’t wish for you to spend time with him during his free time. He spent more and more time with his friends and less and less time with you. It was one day when you checked his Snapchat story with the guys, did you hear another voice from the side. It was one you hadn’t recognized, and it was a blow to your heart that someone else was there, basking in his company. Someone you didn’t even know was getting a fraction of his time, while you sat in your room wishing your boyfriend could spare a glance at you.
The way his phone was always on do not disturb around you, how he angled away from you at random moments.
Sitting at your desk, you turned your head to your boyfriend when he cursed to himself quietly.
“What’s wrong Haji?” Glancing at you for a moment, he looked back down at his phone.
“Nothing, just missed texts about a team thing because my phone was on do not disturb,” he mumbled, typing away at the device in his hands. It was quiet for a moment, and deep down, you knew why it was on do not disturb, you just didn’t want to admit it yet. Iwaizumi was hiding things from you, and your instinct knew exactly what.
“Why’s it on do not disturb?” He only shrugged, not offering a response.
“Don’t worry about it y/n, it’s nothing,” and with that, he dropped the conversation entirely. You weren’t sure what he was doing here in the first place, or why he’d accepted your invitation to come over. You both hadn’t talked much, he was only on his phone the whole time. You didn’t miss the way he slightly moved his screen out of your view when you came near, and you understood. It was too hard to let go just yet, even though it crushed you. He hadn’t taken it upon himself to break up with you either, stringing you along while he continued to entertain whoever he’d found. Iwaizumi didn’t love you the way he used to anymore, and what hurt you the most was every day, no matter how poorly he’d been treating you, you continued to fall deeper in love with him. Staring at the man who once made you dream about the future, you blinked back tears, wishing you could step back into the past and relive all the memories.
The way he had hickeys down his chest. He didn’t bother to try and hide them in the locker room, but a certain setter knew they were from someone else.
Oikawa could tell his best friend and you were drifting, but your demeanor had increasingly gotten glummer as the days passed, while Iwaizumi’s seemed to be quite unbothered. It irked him that someone who wholeheartedly gave Iwaizumi their all, who supported him through all endeavors, who never hesitated to give up what was precious to them for his sake, was being anything less than cherished. The setter found himself wishing he could be supported like that, that he could find someone that stayed through his struggles and didn’t leave him behind because he spent too much time trying to achieve what was important to him. When he saw the small bruises down Iwaizumi’s chest in the locker room, he knew they weren’t from you, and his heart clenched a little. Not just for you, but for the man in front of him. What had happened to his loyal best friend? What happened to the guy who put his all into being the best he could be for those he cared for? It was a bit of a sting to see such a drastic change in his lifelong partner in crime. But despite their bond, Oikawa knew he had to break the news to you. It was only fair.
“He’s cheating on you y/n, you should know,” he whispered. Hugging your arms around yourself, you nodded.
“I know. I figured as much after all the signs. I just wanted to hold on for a while longer. Maybe things could’ve changed, you know? Maybe I could’ve shown him I’ve gotten better, someone he would want.” He looked up at you in disbelief, watching the tears escape past your lash line, streaming down your cheeks.
“If you think you needed to be better for him to stay loyal, you’re too naive to be in a relationship y/n. This isn’t your fault,” he said firmly. And just like that, you collapsed against him, clutching the shirt of your soon to be ex-boyfriend’s best friend, basking in his comfort for just a little bit you told yourself. It was supposed to be for just a little bit.
Tumblr media
Looking back, Iwaizumi wasn’t sure exactly why he’d done what he did. Some nights he lay awake, wondering if you’d have run off to California with him as you’d gone to Argentina. Would you have sat by and pushed him to keep going when the pressure of living in a new environment had crushed him under its weight? Would you have wiped his tears and told him that his efforts weren’t pointless on nights he didn’t seem to be able to do anything correctly? Because staring at the photo of you kissing Oikawa’s cheek on the beach in Argentina, he realized you’d been doing all those things for his best friend. Iwaizumi had always thought you’d hung the stars for being the one who chose him over Oikawa, and it was ironic, comical almost, that he’d turned and chose another behind your back. He should’ve known that if he turned his back for too long, you’d no longer be waiting. He watched helplessly as you’d fallen into the arms of his best friend as well, once again someone choosing Oikawa over him. Though he supposed it was only fair this time. It seemed you’d be staying in Oikawa’s arms permanently too, the diamond on your finger didn’t tell lies after all. Tears streaming down his face, he curled up under his covers, trying to prepare himself for not just the wedding invite, but the blow to his heart when his best friend would ask him to be the best man to the wedding of the love of his life.
Once again this sucked lmao. Nothing’s been coming out the way I wanted them to turn out recently, but oh well, there’s always next time I guess🙈

Once there was a man named Altair. He lost his parents at a young age. After their death, his brothers decided to split their father's property. Altair, being the youngest, got left with nothing except an old bull. Once he was older, Altair separated himself from his brothers, bought a small field and a few cows, and with the aid of his bull, set himself to work.

{E/C} eyes lit up as they scanned the arena, a large smile on her face. It was the match that everyone had been waiting for. It was by no means the first match she had been to, but she was super excited for it. The arena was packed with fans of both teams all ready to see which team would come out on top. {Y/C} glanced around looking for the person she was supposed to meet. Two fingers poked at both of her sides causing her to let out a shriek. Before even turning around she heard the stupid laugh that she had come to know.
“That's not funny Tetsuro!” she turned and glared at him. Her glare was less than intimidating and this caused the taller male to laugh harder. “Where were you anyway stupid rooster? What happened to waiting at the gate for me?” She questioned the taller male.
“Sorry, I couldn't resist {Y/C}. You were so intrigued with the sight in front of you, you completely passed me.” He replied while wiping tears from his eyes. The two had a mini staring contest for about a minute before the smaller girl broke. “Ha! I win again!”
“You got lucky. Anyway, Will we see you after the match? I know you have to be closer to the court for work, and I promised Akaashi and Udai I'd sit with them and watch the match.” {E/C} eyes gazed into hazel as she waited for an answer.
“Yeah, you know they'd never let me live it down if I didn't come. Besides didn't you say you had big news to share with everyone?” She smiled bright and nodded.
“Yup! So that means you have to be there!” She turned to walk to her seat before stopping and turning to look at Kuroo once again. “Also, make sure Kenma comes as well! Or I'll cut his hair off next time I see him!” she hollered while running to her seat. Kuroo just chuckled and watched her run off. If you had told him five years ago he and {Hana} would be on speaking terms again, he'd call you a liar. By no means did he ever think he could repair their friendship, but somehow she had managed to forgive him. He smiled and turned and walked off to meet up with his colleges.

Akaashi looked towards the entrance to the stands. He was getting fidgety, was she late? He looked down at his hands and starting playing with his fingers. Did she get lost or worse, was she hurt? He was so lost in his thoughts he jumped as he heard her voice.
“Sorry I'm late! I couldn't find Tetsu at first.” He let out a sigh of relief. He looked at her and noticed her eyes already on the court. Of course, looking out for the person they came here for. He noticed her attire and gave a little chuckle.
“Showing some favoritism aren't you, Bokuto?” He teased, causing the girl to turn beat red. She grabbed the hem of her shirt and just smiled. She turned to face Akaashi with a big smile on her face.
“Well of course! Kou went out of his way to buy me one, so I had to wear it today. If you had one you'd wear it too, huh, Kaashi?” She teased back, causing Udai to laugh at the pair. It usually ended up like this when the two got together. They all spoke and caught up for a bit when Akaashi went and got onigiri for the trio. Once he got back and the match started she couldn't take her eyes off the court.
Every time Bokuto's spike was blocked she toyed with the ring on her necklace. It matched the one she wore on her left hand, but since jewelry wasn't allowed on the court, she wore Kotaro's on a chain around her neck. As if sensing her feelings he glanced up to the stands and locked eyes with her, causing both of them to break out in huge grins. He looked more energized and focused on the last set after that, causing  Atsumu to give her a thumbs up in the crowd. Despite not getting his typical “emo” modes anymore, he still loved seeing his wife smile down at him from the stands whenever something didn't go the way it was supposed too.

One Sunday evening, Altair sat down under an oak tree and practiced and old love melody on his flute. All of a sudden, a white dove gracefully swooped down from the sunset painted sky. When the dove landed, it turned into a beautiful young woman. When Altair saw this, he jumped. “Who are you?” exclaimed Altai! “I am sorry to have startled you. My name is Vega, princess of the heavenly skies. I heard you playing and had to come down to learn more. Who are you?” Altair replied, “Princess Vega, my name is Altair, a lowly cow herder.” “Altair the cow herder, you are a beautiful musician! Please play that melody again.” So Altair did, and every day for two months, Vega would descend from the Heavens at sunrise and ascend right before nightfall since Vega, being a heavenly being, was not allowed to interact with mortals.
Bokuto braced himself once he saw a {H/C} blur running his way. He held his hands out to catch her with ease, as if he had been doing this for a whole lifetime. He would catch her however many times she would run to him. He held held her under her thighs to keep her in the air. She in turn wrapped her legs around his waist and her hands around his neck, both with a huge smile on their face.
“You did so good out there Kou!” she exclaimed, “That over the shoulder shot was amazing!” He just rested his forehead on her shoulder and listened to her recount the game to him. Her years of being a manger payed off because now she knew all the terms and exactly how to use them. The rest of his team watched the interaction with smiles on their face. Meian cleared his throat and caused Bokuto to stiffen and place his wife on the floor(they both pouted at this). {Y/N} turned her attention to Hinata after that.
“Congrats on your first game Hinata!” she told him with a smile. He smiled at her and gave her a shy thank you. Despite being friends with Kenma for so long, he never really had any interactions with his older sister. He had heard that she had gotten married from Kenma, but never knew it was to Bokuto.
“Congrats to you too as well. I'm sorry I didn't keep in touch much over the last few years. But Kenma told me was wedding was beautiful.” He responded. Kenma had also said it was beautiful because he made sure {Y/N} got what she wanted. After the fiasco with Kuroo he never wanted to see his sister cry again, and was glad to see her happy with Bokuto.
“Thank you! It was small, but everything we needed. Anyway, I'll let you guys get changed. Oh also, Kou, Tetsu said he was coming tonight and he will be bringing Kenma!” She told him with a smile before walking back to Akaashi.
“I don't see why I'm not invited Bokuto!” Atsumu grumbled once they were in the locker room. Causing everyone, minus Hinata, to groan. Meian slapped the setter on the back of his head. Bokuto just smiled and turned to him.
“Sorry TsumTsum, {Y/N} said only close friends and family.” He apologized with a smile. Once they had finished getting changed they all walked out and ignored Atsumu's grumblings of 'Were a team so were a family stupid Bokuto'. Once they had gotten outside he scanned the area for his friends. There standing together were Kuroo, {Y/N}, and Akaashi. The latter two laughing at the expense of the tall rooster most likely. It took Bokuto longer to forgive Kuroo than it had been for {Y/N} to. She explained to him that she didn't want to continue hating him. While she had never tried to see things from Kuroo's view, she had never really fought him on his decision to keep their summer a secret. That was on her and that's why she chose to forgive him.
“Hey!” they called breaking him out of his thoughts. They all smiled at him and all negative thoughts vanished. “Kenma called, he’s meeting us at the restaurant. Are you ready to go?” She asked taking her husbands hand. He held his tightly and nodded.
“Yeah! I've been waiting for this all day! Also cant wait to hear your announcement! You've been ignoring the topic all week!” he pouted. {Hana} Just laughed and shook her head as they all headed to the train.
“If I told you already there would have been no need for this dinner you goof.” The other too just nodded.
“I tried getting it out of her before the game.” Kuroo added.
“I asked as work yesterday and she shut me down as well.” Akaashi threw in. {Y/N} Just smiled in victory as they boarded the train to the restaurant.

One day Vega's mother, the Lady of the Sky, got suspicious of Vega's whereabouts. So shge send a messenger to follow her who discovered that Vega was interacting with a mortal. He quickly reported back to the Lady of the Sky. She was so furious that she descended to Altair's field, found Vega, and dragged her back home. Altair was stunned by what he had seen. He started running to find Vega when he heard a voice calling his name. He turned around to see his bull. “Old bull you speak? How? Did Vega give you some of her magic?” Altair asked. Yes. And I know you love her. Get on my back, and we will go to the heavens.” replied the bull. Altair climbed on the bulls back and they took off towards the heavens. The Lady of the Sky noticed, so to stop them, she used her magic to turn the pathway into a river{now known as the Heavenly River or Milky Way). Altair came to the edge of the river and shared a final look with Vega. They both started weeping, wishing there was a way they could be together.
As told, Kenma was waiting outside the restaurant they had chosen. Smiling {Y/N} let go of Bokuto's hand and ran to her bother. He let a small smile grace his face and gave her a hug. After the “incident”, as it had been dubbed, the two had gotten closer. He made sure to ask what she wanted to do instead of just making decisions for the pair. That's what led him to pay for the wedding, leaving the couple to finance the honeymoon. After the initial greetings, they made their way inside and to their table.
Small talk was shared, mostly about the game that was just played, and talks about future projects that Akaashi and {Y/N} would be working on soon. She considered herself lucky to have Akaashi working with her at the publishing company with her. The boys at the table ordered some beer and looked at {Y/N} with surprise when she declined to have one.
Bokuto knew that with what happened in her third year she didn't drink that much, but at celebrations she usually had one drink. Akaashi figured it out first and just stared at her for a good minute before smiling, giving Kuroo and Kenma the final push they needed to figure it out. The three boys turned to the fourth watching the gears in his head work. Despite what people would like to believe, Bokuto is not dumb. However, after a four set game, his mind was working pretty slow.
“Oh, by the way Kou,” {Y/N} began with a mischievous look, knowing the others had figured it out, “We need to clean out the third room soon. And we need to start looking into what color we want to paint it.” With that final nudge, it clicked. Bokuto dropped his chopsticks and just stared at his wife. Tears welling up in his eyes before he moved over and hugged her. She hugged him back, tears of her own in her eyes.
“I know we haven't been married that long, but I know you'll make a great dad.” she whispered to him softly, looking to the others, who also had tears in their eyes. No words needed to be spoken in that moment the congratulations written in their eyes. In high school she had tried to find her Altair, not knowing that he would find her in the end.
When Vega's father, the Emperor of the Sky, saw their love, he became sympathetic. Hoping to fulfill his love, he created a wide bridge of magpies across the river. Now, Altair and Vega wait for the day they cross the river and are together once more.

Chapter Twelve
“Hi hi are you our grandma?” Rini said with wide eyes, you, Rin and Kauru were outside grabbing the last of the groceries and talking. It was like his mother was frozen in time, they looked exactly like her son when he was a kid, when she was still learning how to raise a tiny human.
She finally realized she was a grandmother because the looks were uncanny. “Yes I’m your grandma.” She replied and she kids ran and hugged her legs. “It’s nice to meet you, we’ve never had a grandma before but we promise to be good grandkids for you.” Rini said and Akira nodded. “What do you mean you never had a grandma before?” She asked the twins, they didn’t see the glint in her eyes. She needs all the information she can get to show her son that she’s not a good mother and he can fight for custody.
“Momma doesn’t talk to her parents. They’re mean and think she’s a dispointment.” Akira chimed in. Obviously the kid met disappointment which made sense. If Rin was a girl she’d probably do the same thing.
“Hey guys guess what grandma got!” Rin walked in, his hands full of groceries. He placed them down and pulled out the pack of the frozen Chuupets. The kids eyes widened and they ran to their dad to hand them a chuupet. “You are only getting one because you haven’t eaten dinner yet.” He said and the kids nodded. After he handed them the chuupet, they ran off. “How’s everything mom.” He looks down to see the shorter woman. “Could be better without your dog and your ex.” She answered and Suna frowned.
“At least try to get along with her? Please. She’s the mother of your grandkids and hopefully we can be together again.” He said hopefully and her eyes widened. “You wanna get back together with her.” She said almost disgusted and Rin sighed. “Yeah mom.” He replied. “You’re gonna regret it.” She hummed and Rin rolled his eyes.
“Excuse me..um...Mrs.Suna..?” You peered from behind the wall you somewhat heard their conversation but that’s a talk for another time, “What.” She raised a brow and Rin facepalmed. “When was the last time you checked the oil of your car? And your brakes?” You asked. “I don’t know. Usually we take it to a mechanic, but we’ve been busy raising someone else’s dog.” She said and eyed her son. “Mechanic? Rin nor Kauru don’t know how to do that?” You asked. “I have a sports car, no way in hell I’m fucking it up.” Rin replied.
“Is it okay for me to change the oil and the brakes? I would hate for you to get into an accident.” You asked. “Accident? You’d probably tinker with my car so I’d crash the next time I use it.” She crossed her arms over her chest. You were beyond confused, “Mom, stop.” Rin scolded and she rolled her eyes.
You left the car as is but made a mental note to ask Kauru for permission to add more oil and fix her brakes.
Other than that conversation you haven’t spoken to her the rest of the day. What bothered you was that she didn’t try to get close to the kids. You sat on the small picnic table in the backyard while Rin was throwing a chew toy across the backyard while his dog, Chewy chased it eagarly. When Rin came to the back yard he whistled causing the dog to turn its head, it stayed frozen as if not believing his owner was truly there. But eventually Rin called him and his ears perked up and he began running and whining at the same time. He tackled Rin and he fell back. Chewy licked his face and Rin was giggling with a big stupid smile on his face, you smiled lightly at the scene and Akira tugged onto your leggings to tell you that Rin was crying.
Your eyebrows scrunched in confusion and turned again to see Rin and then you saw it. The way he held on to his dog and a small tear streamed down. “Who’s a good boy? Are you a good boy?” He talked and Chewy’s tail wagged. “Alright bud, sit.” He commanded and he sat obediently. You could hear a tapping noise but it was because Chewy was so excited to see his owner. “Chewy meet your brother and sister.” Rin introduced and you started laughing. “What do you mean he’s our brother? He’s a dog.” Rini pointed out, “Same difference.” Rin shrugged and you covered your mouth to stop yourself from snorting.
“Okay get close and tell him to shake. Then shake his hand.” He instructed, Rini was first and gasped when Chewy obeyed. Earlier they got around to playing but they didn’t know their dads dog—I mean brother was trained. Akira did the same thing and she giggled. “Alrighty, Chewy. Meet your new mom.” He introduced you and you stepped back. “Nope, not my son.” You waved off, “Are you really gonna leave him motherless.” Rin pressed, “Yeah mama, he’s our brother you can’t be like that.” Akira whined.
“I just never really liked dogs.” You admitted, “Me neither but he’s my best friend.” Rin said softly. You looked down at the brown dog with curly hair. His tail wagged as his tongue sticker out so adorably. Now you understood why Rin named him Chewy, he looks like Chewbacca. “Nice to meet you, Chewy.” You reached your hand out to pet his head but he jump and rested his paws on your stomach, causing you to lose you balance and fall back. Before you could fall and die from embarrassment, No one other than Rin was there to catch you. “I’m sorry he doesn’t really do that. He’s just too excited.” He said from behind and helped you up. “No it’s fine.” You said and you both stayed quiet.
“So are you gonna continue holding on to my waist or..?”
“Fuck..sorry.” He apologized with flushed cheeks and let go. The kids began scolding their dad’s potty mouth and you hated that feeling in your stomach from when he pulled away.
Rin’s mom looked from the kitchen window and gritted her teeth while scrubbing the pan a little too hard. “Good job, Chewy.” Rini and Akira quietly praised and continued to play with their new brother.
****
“Finally we can talk.” Rin’s mom said and sat at the head of the table, you and Rin both gulped and Kauru sighed. He just wanted to nap. “Okay I can tell without a doubt that those children are Rintarou’s. And it’s nice that they don’t look like you.” Rin’s mom spoke up and you gasped. “If you’re here just to fight then don’t even open your mouth.” Kauru told his wife and she gave a glare. “Okay first of all. Why didn’t you tell my son you were pregnant.” She crossed her arms over your chest and you cuddled with your fingers. “Well Mrs.Suna...like I said over the phone. We had just broken up and I was hurt and afraid. I wasn’t sure if he would support me in keeping them—“ “Well how could you know if you didn’t speak up?” She interrupted but you ignored the jabs she threw. “I also wanted him to continue on with his career, stress free. I guess at the time I still loved him a lot that I didn’t want him to suffer with me. Or else I could have easily filed for child support.” You said and Rin frowned slightly.
“That’s not a good excuse. Rintarou has missed out on so much because you were selfish. You just wanted Rin to go pro for the money.” She accused with a pointed finger. “Mom—stop!” Rin immediately said and Kauru raised his finger to stop his son. “Karin do you know that for sure?” He asked his wife. “Yeah. All she does is party and drink. I think the kids are unsafe under her care. All of her money is wasted on her fake breasts.”
“Ma’am I can assure you that these are real. Ask your son.” You waved off and she gasped before she could open her mouth to utter more stupid shit you said. “With all due respect Mrs. Suna, you don’t know me. You don’t know how I raise my children, you don’t know what I do for a living and you don’t know what I’ve been through. Please before judging me, see how I treat my kids and how I treat your son. I have been nothing but respectful and the least you could do is treat me like a proper guest.” You argued back but she just ignored you and went through her iPad.
Why does she have an iPad? She flips the device over so you and the two Suna men could see and Rin almost spit out his drink. Karin told Kauru to look away and your mouth hung open as she swiped photo after photo of you in revealing lingerie. In some photos you’re wearing a gag and in others you’re chained up but it’s all modeling for Jamie and her line. You looked at your stomach and thighs and you could see those stretch marks.
Even though the world has seen these pictures, you can’t help but feel nervous when Rintarou is looking at them. You weren’t the same athletic girl from highschool, you gained weight, developed stretch marks, and you hate working out. You know you’re beautiful, that’s why you asked Jamie to not edit the photos of you she posted on the web. Your stretch marks and tummy were there for the world to see. But their comments or praise didn’t matter. The only person’s opinion that matters is Rintarou’s. Which is ridiculous to say but, some part of you still wants his approval and to be with him.
“Is this a good example to show your daughter? You want her modeling and showing off her body like a filthy wh—“ “Enough!” Rin smacked the table and stood up. You flinched as well as she did and you began to cry. “You make it seem like I should be ashamed of myself...”
“You should be.”
“Have you told them why we broke up?” You turned to Rin and he saw the tears streaming down. He wanted nothing more than to hold you in his arms and say that it’s okay. “No..” he shook his head and you sighed. “You won’t understand unless your son tells you what he did. Everything I did for myself and my children was for a reason. Now if you’d excuse me, I need to go, it’s time for their history lesson.” You wiped your eyes and left the table. Quickly you grabbed your bag with all their supplies and you met them outside. “Come on, time for school!” You called with a fake smile and red eyes. The kids understood to not argue and to just obey.
You sat on the picnic table with your two kids across from you and Chewy was laying on the bench right next to you, with his head on your thighs. “Mama...” Rini interrupted your thoughts, “Yes baby?” You asked and looked up from their lesson plan, “I love you, and you’re the best mom in the world.” He said with a small smile. “I love you more than Rini and you’re the bestest momma in the universe!” Akira chimes in and you chuckled. “I love you guys to infinity and beyond, forever and ever! It’s called unconditional love.” You said and their eyes widened. “Unconditional love...” akira hummed and you nodded.
Tumblr media
“Hi Kuroo-san is everything okay?” You asked as you made your way to the patio outside. It was already time for the kids bedtime. “Y/N I’m sorry for informing you last minute but one of the commentators for tomorrow’s game is in the hospital so we were wondering if you could fill in.” He spoke calmly. “I—oh gosh I’m all the way in Hyogo..when does the game start?” You asked.
After going back in forth for tomorrow’s game you hung up after respectfully telling him you weren’t interested in going out on a date. You rubbed your face and looked at the time. The trains have already closed for the day, so you’d have to take your car.
“You good?” Rin asked as soon as you walked back inside. “I need to go in to work tomorrow. Another commentator is in the hospital. Nobody else can fill in.” You said and his eyes widened since it’s a very long drive. “Oh how fantastic, leaving your young children overnight to go work—“
“I’m taking them.” You interrupted the witch and her eyes widened. “What do you mean you’re taking them.” She asked. “They’re my children and I don’t want to leave them with you. I’d rather take them and ask Jamie to watch over them and I’ll come back the day after tomorrow.”
“Y/N...” Suna snapped you out of your rambling and you turned your head to see him. “I’m here now, remember? You don’t have to do this alone anymore. I can take care of them and watch them. I’ve done it before.” He assured. “I’m sorry but I really don’t want them near your mom.” You explained your reasoning. “Tomorrow we’ll be at Kita’s farm all day. They’ll be fine.” He said and patted your head. Without even realizing, you leaned forward and wrapped your arms around Suna’s torso, his face flushed and he wrapped his arms around your shoulders. “Thank you. It means a lot.” You mumbled in his chest.
“It’s my job, partner.” He chuckled and you pulled away. “Fist bump?” He asked and presented his closer fist, you giggled and nodded. “Fist bump.” You did the same and your knuckles met. Rin’s mother scoffed and rolled her eyes, walking away to her room.
Tumblr media
You took a deep breath as you crossed lanes on the freeway going back home. You wanted nothing more than to stay with your kids or take them with you, but you can’t control everything yourself anymore. You gonna trust Rin.
You made it home by five am since the drive was eight hours but you made it in seven by speeding and automatically fell asleep in Rin’s bed. You decided to take the pull out bed in your office when Rin moved in and he slept in your old master bedroom. But you were too tired to pull it out so you slept in your old bed. You couldn’t help but notice how the pillows smelled like Rin.
His scent definitely changed, he doesn’t use the old spice fragrance from highschool. He now uses something more expensive and more subtle yet manly at the same time. You definitely needed to know what the scent was so you could buy more for him on a birthday or something.
You woke up at around 13:30 to get ready and leave by 15:00. You showered, did your hair and wore the white button up with the green dress pants and a green blazer on top. You slipped on some hot pink heels and some subtle jewelry and made your way. You called your kids and they said they were having a blast, they really missed you and wished you and their grandma were there and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes.
While Rin’s mom stayed home, her husband worked and Rin took the kids out, she began thinking about the day before.
“You won’t understand unless your son tells you what he did. Everything I did for myself and my children was for a reason.”
Rin’s mom was obviously confused and still annoyed at you. But then Rin sat her down after breakfast, the kids were outside and Kauru was already gone. He explained what he did with his friends and Karin couldn’t help but feel disgusted. If she would have been more involved in his teenage life then she could have prevented this. Prevented minors drinking, prevented her son getting sexually involved with you, and preventing an innocent girl getting hurt.
In reality you should have thrown a full can of coffee at Rin instead of an empty one. You should have cursed him and made him pay child support. That’s what she would do straight up. But you’re not her, and you explained why you did what you did. And she began to understand. “You have a lot of work to do in order to get back in her good grace.” She told her son. “I know I know..” he said softly. “That’s why we’re starting as friends. And eventually I wanna be with her romanticly and marry her. I want to be the man she can rely on and trust again.” He said and her mom smiled.
“I understand, I’ll make sure to apologize when she returns. And I’m rooting for you.” She said and Rin smiled. “Thanks mom.” She stood up and grabbed her bag, “I’m not in the mood to cook. How do burgers sound?” She asked Rin and he nodded. “There’s a place down the street that’s pretty good. I’ll be back in a few.”
Rin’s mother wanted to repent for her actions and she tried thinking of a proper way to apologize. She went into the restaurant to order and everywhere she saw, it explained that the food was made with peanut oil. But that’s what gave it the flavor. That’s why it’s so delicious. She happily payed for the food completely oblivious that her grandson was severely allergic to peanuts.
She arrived home and rounded up the kids. She gave them a kiss on the head and smiled as they showed her their drawings that she could keep. Rin’s mom passed around the burgers so Rin couldn’t see the bag that promoted the peanut oil being a main ingredient and the kids munched.
When Rini took the bite his eyes widened at the deliciousness. Bite after bite and his throat began to feel weird, as well as his stomach. He took a sip of the lemonade and he couldn’t swallow it properly. He began to cough and Rin patted his back confused and he face turned red.
“Rini are you choking?!” Akira asked scared and Rini shook her head. “My stomach hurts—“ he coughed and Rin’s eyes widened. “Oh shit.” He quickly ran upstairs to his old bedroom and looked through the bag with Rini’s inhaler and other vitamins. He saw the epipen and ran back out quickly unscrewing it. Rini’s face was turning purple and he continued to cough. Akira was crying and Karin didn’t know what to do. Rin fell to his knees and slammed the pen on his sons thigh. “Are you okay bud. Stay with me please.” Tears prickled his eyes. He seriously fucked up.
Rini’s chest heaved up in down as he tried to catch his breath. Rintarou instructed his mom to call 119 and an ambulance soon came and took Rini away with Rin in the ambulance. Akira was stuck with her grandma driving to the hospital.
Karin was so confused at the situation. And she was worried for her grandson. She tried her best calming the little girl who held the green pig plush and the fox plush in her arms. “Is Rini gonna die?” Akira pouted with watery eyes. “Of course not. Everything is gonna be alright.” She assured.
While all this was going down, you were talking and laughing as you talked about Sendai frogs and their intimating demeanor. You felt a weird feeling in your chest and felt like something was wrong. Your purse and phone was stuck in the lounge locker so you didn’t see the 20+ phone calls and messages you received from Rin.
He was afraid and didn’t know what to do. He really wished you were here by his side. He couldn’t do this alone and realized this is what it’s like being a single parent.

Part 2

The last day of the camp Kuroo decided that he had had enough. He watched as {Y/N} laughed and smiled with the rowdy Karasuno boys. They had been friends for ten years, and now she wouldn't even speak to him. He waited till the {H/C} girl had gone to get water for her team. He followed her earning confused looks from his team. Kenma stared at the spot where the captain once stood. 'This is not going to end well.' he thought.
“{Y/N},” Kuroo called running after her. Hearing her name her blood ran cold. Two weeks she had gone without this confrontation. It couldn't be avoided forever. She turned and looked at him with cold eyes. The taller male gulped. She had never looked at him like that before. “We need to talk, don't you think?” he all but demanded. {E/C} eyes narrowed in anger.
“And if I say no?” She challenged, voice as monotone as she could make it. “Honestly Kuroo, you are-”
“Kuroo?” He cut her off. “You have always called me Tetsu, or Tetsuro when you're mad. Since when was I demoted to Kuroo?” He couldn't keep the hurt out of his voice. It almost caused {Y/N}'s resolve to break.
“Since you told your girlfriend that I was nothing more than a sister to you.” His eyes widened in shock. She heard that?
“Thats not what I meant.” He stuttered with his words. “She was asking all these questions on why I was so close to you and-”
“So you chose to lie rather than to tell the truth? Even after all this time you are still choosing to keep that summer  a secret? God, for being so smart, you're so god damn dumb Kuroo!” She began to raise her voice but quickly calmed down, knowing that everyone would be able to hear her yelling.
“That's what this is about? You agreed to keep it quiet, not just me {Y/N}!” He argued.
“You didn't give me much of a choice.” Her voice was shaking at this point. Her eyes glistened with tears once again, everything about that night was coming back to her. She locked eyes with Kuroo, causing the male shrink back. “I never wanted to be a secret. I just wanted to be with you.” Her voice got quieter with each word she spoke. She turned away and began to walk away to fill up the water bottles again.
“I'm done with this conversation. Go back to the team.” She waved him off. Watching her disappear down the hall he was left to wonder, how long had she been holding in these feelings. Walking back to the gym he was met with the curious eyes of his team, and a scrutinizing glare from Fukurodani's captain. Did Bokuto know something that he didn't in regards to his best friend? No, he supposed he didn't have that title anymore. Watching the older Kozume walk back in with a fake smile on her face he realized, he hadn't had that title since last summer. Knowing that he had lost someone who was always there, hurt more than he had imagined.

Later on at the barbecue, Kenma kept sneaking glances at his sister and then back to Kuroo. Even though they were acting like everything was ok, he knew that whatever they had talked about built a bigger rift between the two. He put his attention back to his game and began to wonder if things were ever going to go back to normal. He was interrupted from his thoughts by a plate of food being put in his face. He looked up to the {E/C} eyes of his sister, who had a soft smile on her face.
“Here, eat.” She pleaded sitting next to him, a plate of food for her as well. He paused the game taking the plate, while looking at her.
“Are you ok?” he questioned. “When you came back from talking with Kuroo your eyes were misty, like you had been crying. What happened between the two of you?” She looked down at her feet before ruffling his hair.
“I'm not ok, but I will be don't worry.” She gave him a small smile. As she went back to eating Kenma figured that she was not going to answer his other question. Looking over at where Hinata was talking to Kuroo and Bokuto, he noticed that Bokuto was glancing over at his sister every once in a while. He figured that it was to make sure she was doing ok. He had been the one to deal with drunk {Y/N} after all. He was drug out of his thoughts by his sister once again.
“Anyway, I'm gonna go save Yachi from the crowd. Eat Kenma.” He watched her interact with the young manager, her smile wasn't forced like when she had returned earlier. Yachi bowed to her in thanks, but {Y/N} just waved her off. It was then he realized, that she hadn't been ok for a while.

It was later in the evening and the boys were packing up their belongings getting ready to leave. The rest of the Nekoma boys had headed down to the bus, leaving Kuroo and Kenma to grab their things. Kenma turned to his friend and saw the dejected look on his face. In the group setting he could laugh and pretend that he wasn't hurt, but with just Kenma he let his guard down. Kuroo saw Kenma looking at him and sighed.
“She’s done with me officially. I don't think I can fix this anymore Kenma.” The younger boys eyes widened. He wasn't expecting Kuroo to actually tell him. “I broke her trust then lied to Akemi about who she was to me because I wanted to be selfish. She heard me say she was only a sister to me, but that wasn't true at all. She was more, but I was too scared about what people would say to do anything about it. I broke her, and it hurts to know I can't help her.” Kuroo quickly wiped the tears that came down his cheeks. Kenma was shocked, he had never really seen the taller male cry before, but was even more shocked at his words.
Kenma wasn't blind to what happened last summer, but he never wanted to bring it up for fear that a fight would happen. He sighed and gave Kuroo a pat on the back before grabbing his bag and heading towards the door. Kuroo turned to look at him, slinging his own bag on his shoulder.
“For the record, the team was rooting for you two.” Hazel orbs widened, “We all thought you'd end up together. Give her more time. You might not get her the way you want to, but I believe you can be friends again.” He continued while walking out the door. He rushed out the door to follow Kenma down to the bus. Not today, but one day he would make this right. As the two boys got down there he saw Bokuto and {Y/N} standing together laughing. Kuroo realized that even though he broke her, Bokuto would fix her. He gave the two a small smile before getting on the bus.

{Y/N} smiled at the owl haired man before her. He was pouting because he wouldn't be able to see her for a while. He complained that he barely got to spend time with her, even though she had pointed out that it was a volleyball training camp.
“You do know you have my phone number right?” She asked the taller man. This just caused him to pout more, in turn causing her to laugh harder. Bokuto perked up at the sound. He loved the melodic sound and it made him smile a bit, but he went back to pouting to keep the ruse going.
“Its not the same as seeing you in person you know.” He grumbled turning his face away. If she had seen the blush on his face he'd never live it down. She glanced up at him one final time after hearing the coaches call for the students.
“Hey Bo,” she began getting his attention back on her, “When you qualify for nationals, I'll take you out to for yakiniku.” She said with a bright smile on her face. The blush came right back to his face, but he noticed that she had one as well. He returned the smile with a bigger one of his own. Without even thinking he pulled the smaller girl into a hug. It startled the girl before she relaxed and hugged him back.
“I'd like that.” He whispered in her ear before letting her go. They both headed to their own buses with smiles. Once she got on the bus she took her spot next to Kenma, humming a small tune. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes. He saw her content face and small smile. She was happy. He turned and locked eyes with Kuroo, who also noticed the change in the girl. It broke his heart to know that someone else was taking his place, but it was all his fault. Pulling out his phone he sent a quick text before shutting it off.
Kuroo: Take care of her. Don't make her cry like I did.
