The Armors of Sin

Armor of Pride - Armor of Gleaming gold, armed with a Golden Halberd

Armor gifted from Ankarna to her follower Athenriel. After Athenriel took on the form of Bakur, the armor passed through his lineage patrilineally until it was gifted to Gorthalax the Insatiable. 

The curse of the armor transferred to the eldest male descendants of the lineage with the death of each previous holder of the curse. The most recent of these was Gilear Faeth. Upon reunification with the line of Athenriel, the curse was left in a flux state, until it was taken on by the Dark Mistress and Archdevil of the Bottomless Pit, Figueroth the Infaethable. 

The Curse was broken and sealed in the Sword of Sight, and later used to remove the containment of Bakur from the body of Lydia Barkrock

The Transubstantiations of the Nightmare King

Four symbols of the Unnamed Goddess’ power, converted into four curses which spread the power of the King of the Dark Dreaming

The Coin, a curse placed on the hoard of Kalvaxus that allowed the Nightmare King to possess those who had knowledge of their wealth’s origin (Dragon Madness). This curse came from the trans-substantiation of the spellbook of the Unnamed Goddess, now known as Cassandra. DIspelled by the Blessed Saint Kristen Applebees.

The Plague, a curse placed on the familiar of the Unnamed Goddess, Kalina the Shadow Cat. This curse converted Kalina into a plague that manifested as various illusionary powers, with additional strength within the borders of Sylvaire. Dispelled by Aelwyn Abernant.

The Curse, a curse that bound celestials who attempted to enter the Nightmare King’s Forest and utilized their energies to power the mycelium web of trans-substantiations. This curse originated from the cottage of the Unnamed Goddess. Dispelled by Tracker O’Shaughnessy.

The Tree, a curse on the arcane focus of the Unnamed Goddess, a broomstick which became the Tree at the center of Sylvaire. This curse altered the shape of the Forest to suit the fears of those who entered–the more confident a traveler was in their path, the further they traveled from the center of the Forest. Dispelled by Tracker O’Shaughnessy.

The Crown of the Nightmare King

The last remnant of the Nightmare King after the Fall of Kalvaxus

A talisman capable of anchoring an extraplanar being to a world as if they were native to that plane

was doing some transcript reading for the legend lore database and i realized that adaine is technically only the second elven oracle

eleminthindriel was the earliest known elven oracle and a member of the first council of chosen in solace. adaine directly succeeds her.

first off, it makes adaine having to advocate for pay so early on in her time as oracle make more sense. eleminthindriel probably would have been employed as the oracle within the council and thus didn't need to worry about establishing it as a paid position with the court of stars.

but also, we still don't know how aelwyn knew the next oracle would be adaine. there has to be some kind of ritual or something to figure that out. eleminthindriel was functionally immortal on fallinel. was it a proximity thing? like the most powerful elven diviner in proximity to the sinking of the harpy gets the position? or did adaine have premonitions that aelwyn could use to set her up as the oracle? i feel like that kind of ritual would be added to the database because that's insane for aelwyn to have done. she's 18.

so i started the legend lore database for the world of spyre and decided to expand it a bit. a question for you all:

so i started the legend lore database for the world of spyre and decided to expand it a bit. a question for you all:

When did Gorgug lose mindless rage?

He does the thing about not being frightened or charmed in junior year but then loses it in junior year?

in the latest episode, untapped rage, gorgug loses a level of barbarian to gain two levels of artificer. as a result, he loses mindless rage, since it was his 6th level primal path feature, but gets an as of yet unknown barbificer specialty feature and an ASI, as well as third-level spells.

now that fig has taken her third paladin level:

quick descriptions:

ancients: the green knight. nature focused spells, promoting kindness, beauty, joy, and courage.

conquest: glory in battle through subjugation. notable for often involving pacts with the nine hells. one of the channel divinity options lets you add +10 to attack rolls.

crown: swearing loyalty to law and the nation, or a sovereign (her president?). kind of the opposite of rebellion.

devotion: the white knight. standards of conduct i.e. honesty, courage, compassion, honor, and duty.

glory: achieving glory through heroism; being strong and working beyond your failings.

oathbreaker: keeping darkness in your heart and serving ambition. caveat--must be evil. the cody walsh oath. the black knight.

redemption: anyone can be redeemed; violence is a last resort when benevolence and justice can be used.

vengeance: punish those who have committed wrongs against you--being the avenging angel. fighting a sworn enemy.

watchers: protecting against extraplanar threats, with a focus on vigilance, loyalty, and discipline. lots of being alert to threats

it's time for more level updates for fantasy high: junior year

this is is either the final level up or the penultimate, depending on the encounters they have left. we're at episode 16--i'm expecting 2-3 episodes of rp/downtime before a two-part finale, so they have room for another battle episode, especially if it's contained to one episode. as of now the bad kids are tied with the vile villains for the highest level d20 party at level 14; if they have another level up they will take the title.
