I always thought this was funny because these are like, the first basic chords you learn on guitar, so they both know he doesn’t actually need help. But it turns out it’s actually hilarious because the rest of the song has such unusual chords that the tab I’m looking at just calls one of them “weird D i won’t attempt to name.” So he’s specifically asking for help with the easiest part of the song. Yknow, just to make sure he wasn’t being too subtle.
