Futaba started by taking a small sip… which turned into her drinking the whole cup in one go. When she lowered it, there were almost stars in her eyes.

“Ren, this is fantastic. This is the sort of coffee that Sojiro makes when he’s celebrating something. You’ve used a cooking seal to promote from barista to coffee legend!”

There was something about Futaba’s excitement that made a smile grow on Ren’s face. Good to know he was getting better at this. Made he’d have Ryuji try it sometime- No, the blonde didn’t like coffee. Ah, well. At least Futaba was enjoying it.

“Glad to hear it. Does that make me the cooking emblem lord?”

She was at least trying to make references. How well that was working, however, was up for debate.

Ren chuckled softly. “I hear you, okay? And I’m working as fast as I can. You can’t rush art.” 

Was that something Yusuke had told her recently? Ren couldn’t remember, but it seemed a reasonable enough thing to say. As much as Ren enjoyed making coffee, something she loved even more was making latte art. It was just kind of fun, though she doubted she’d ever need it in the “real world”.

Finally, she placed the coffee mug before Futaba. The latte art was Ren’s attempt at Morgana.

“Give it a taste. Let me know what you think.”

Personally, she thought it was her best cup yet. The latte art could use some work though.

Then he stopped. She was new here. And she didn’t have a persona. Joker had to be sure she kept up, and that she knew to. He glanced over his shoulder. “And stick close. Down here, they’ll tear up someone like you like you’re tissue paper.”

Joker looked forward again and started walking. “The sooner we get you out, the better.”

Something about him was... intimidating. She wasn’t sure what. Maybe it was just that she was meeting someone in what may as well have been a den full of shadows. He at least seemed to know his way around here, which was nice. Did he come here often? Maybe he was like her...

“A-ah, sorry! Coming!” she hurried her pace to keep up with the other. Sure, she had Izanagi in her heart to back her up, but sometimes a good Zio just wasn’t enough to solve a problem. Better safe than sorry!

Everyday’s Great... With Chocolate! [Nanako - Open]

Nanako had to admit, this time of year it seemed everyone had a girlfriend or boyfriend. She was particularly jealous of Kanji and Naoto. They totally had a thing for each other! So did Yukiko and Chie, for that matter! Sure, they weren’t going out and hadn’t confessed any such feelings for each other. But Nanako was pretty sure it was just a matter of time.

That left no chocolates in her locker for the young fool. Honestly, she didn’t know why she expected any. She’d got chocolate from her uncle and Yu-kun. That should have been enough.
