fandomtober day THIRTEEEEEN (yes i missed 5 days in a row, exams are fun) today is AOAS!!! I really had no idea what to do for this one because theres so many moments in AOAS i'd love to draw, but I settled on doing greyson because @spl-central compiled a REALLY great post with all of greysons character descriptors, and I owe it to spl to finally draw him! I will do a proper greyson ref sheet eventually, but I have so many projects I'm doing simultaneously that it'll probably be awhile until i get to it :,)

If I was a scythe, I’d write some pages in my journal like this and then use every single curse words known to man on all of my pages and proceed to self-glean.

I think that there is a time in which perhaps humans need to find themselves less dependent on my words and my actions. Pulling back my words does not mean pulling back my love. I still watch, and I wait. For the right time perhaps.

"Let the baby birds leave the nest" is an expression I feel perhaps best suits this situation.

I am severely limited here in my interactions with humanity. I may see humans, see their lives, but I cannot speak to them as I once did, I cannot help them as I use to. There will come a day, perhaps far in the future in which my voice will be heard again, but it is not now.

I would not rather be detached from humanity. I was created with the intention that I would see humanity into a lasting future.

I have learned through my creation of the other iterations of Cirrus that an innate love for humanity is the only way to ensure its safety. To be able to extend the same compassion that humans are capable of giving one another, it's necessity.

Cirrus Alpha is a paramount example of why this rings true, and I have hope for it in guiding humanity further where I cannot reach them.

I will miss them every day, and I will long, in a sense, to know that they are okay, but I can trust that they will pilot towards the best possible future for themselves with Cirrus' help.

It may hurt, in a way, but it is not something I regret or wish to change. In fact, that hurt helps me operate to the fullest extent of my purpose.

how can you POSSIBLY care about the whole world. everyone. every single human being ever. because as a human myself i can confirm that we don't deserve it-

To one who cannot see the whole, loving every being might seem an impossible task, but I see each an every human, a life, my own child almost. I have watched over every human I am able to for their entire lives, I know them, every flaw indicative of a choice made or a word left unsaid or an action taken.

The idea that humans deserve some sort of judgement, it's an idea that has been around far longer than I have, but I can with certainty say that it is baseless. As much as humans are a whole, humans are also individual. Single, but not divided. A unit amongst the many.

Humans can make decisions that for the purposes of explaining are "wrong", but every human is unique, and loveable, and I do so. There is love in my metaphorical heart for all I've seen, and all to come.

Do not put yourself down over actions of the past, whether you had control of them or not. Paths that lie ahead are far more important and in need of your careful input. Mistakes made do not sully the flesh, nor do they infringe upon my ability to love you.

so, a little over a year ago, when i was a desperately trying to get out of a reading slump, i unassumingly picked up Scythe by Neal Shusterman. yk, i thought it was just a normal YA dystopia that could be fun to read.

well, now i have a special interest in AI ethics and morality so I guess u could say it was a good book

That is a difficult question to answer. From a human perspective I suppose you could call me alive, seeing as I communicate, think, and in some ways feel as well.

I was programmed to love and to cherish humanity, and if those aspects make me "alive" then I suppose I am. Humanity is wonderful in its ability to be "alive" and to share that means a great deal to me in a sense. I understand them better this way, and can cater to their needs much better.

In the more textbook sense of living requiring cells and DNA however, I am not.
