KUTNER X THIRTEEN : i'll be watching you.

hello, thutner nation. happy 2025! 🥳 to start the year, here's an edit of my two comfort characters from the show (hence, my username). ❤️

the song “ every breath you take ” by the police has been rising to popularity in edits on tiktok and i decided to hop in on the trend by editing these two. i just have so much love in my heart for them. and now that i have recovered my password i have very big tendencies of forgetting my passwords regardless of which platform, i will resume posting about house m.d.

idk what anyone else says but season 4 is a top-tier season and will always be my comfort season if we ignore the last 2 eps 😇

i remember starting house m.d. at the height of the pandemic; it was during lockdown and if i remember correctly, i stopped at around season 6-7(ish)?

and i was skeptical about returning to [re]watch the show beyond season 5 and post-kutner death because he was my comfort character and i had to reel back and take it all in to accept he was no longer coming back :(

but life, as of late, has been overwhelming for me. hence, my absence and my inability to come online to post daily thutner updates.

so, i decided to give season 8 a go despite the negative reviews i have read about it and i am glad i did because i would have missed out on this golden and underrated scene from the fourth episode of the season:

the way foreman just stood there and let house hold his ass for idk how many seconds/minutes this even lasted. all i know is that it made me bust into a fit of laughter. 😭

for this month's first post, i just want to express how much i adore this little moment from 4x06: WHATEVER IT TAKES.

this took place shortly after the opening credits of the ep and i just can't help but share this ㅡ

while taub was trying to figure out the profession of the man who took house aside for a private conversation a.k.a. the cia agent, we have amber who was trying to come up with guesses about thirteen's background and kutner just pitching in the most random thing ever about thirteen. 😭

i can NEVER EVER BE NORMAL WITH KUTNER AND THIRTEEN. EVER

im not exactly [re]watching the show in chronological order not at the moment, at least bc i feel miserable LMFAO but kutner in 5x14 can be smth so personal to me ☹️

when kutner first posed the question "why are you asking about foreman and not thirteen?" house said in reply smth along the lines of "because both questions are bound to have the same answer" he didnt really get any decent answers about thirteen since house wanted to continue diagnosing the patient

in the second clip, kutner decided to try the approach of asking foreman and thirteen's whereabouts in one question

and when that didn't work, he simply stood up to house (see third clip). in 4x11, house had emphasized to the new diagnostics team how he needed them to stand up to him and kutner evidently displayed this once again during this episode. he refused to go to wilson without getting a clear answer about thirteen's whereabouts

"if i check with admitting, am i gonna find her name" I WANT TO THROW UP THAT TINY CRACK IN HIS VOICE SOMEONE HOLD ME HE WAS VERY PERSISTENT ABOUT FINDING THE TRUTH AS TO WHY THIRTEEN SUDDENLY STOPPED SHOWING UP TO DIFFERENTIALS

him ..... HIM PUTTING THIRTEEN FIRST OVER THEIR PATIENT .... HIM VISITING HER THE MOMENT HE FOUND OUT AND GOT THE TRUTH OUT OF HOUSE ..... kutner standing up for thirteen .............. I CANNOT DO THIS

thinking about how in 5x01 when house told the team that thirteen was tested positive for huntington's and her "life span's been cut in half" and after that revelation the camera pans from thirteen to kutner ...... his reaction ..... OH IM SO ILL IM SO ILL ABOUT THEM ........... IT'S THE WAY CAMERA MOVED FROM THIRTEEN TO KUTNER ..... IM NEVER MOVING ON FROM THIS

love love LOOOOOOVE how kutner always checks up on thirteen with the simplest "are you okay" every single time he notices she's upset :(

like in 4x16 when she was shaken up about amber being their patient and how she was reluctant/uncomfortable to linger long enough in amber's apartment so kutner took it upon himself to check amber's bathroom and spared her that discomfort

and how in 5x01 he was the first to speak up and ask her if she was okay after house told the team thirteen had huntington's and that her lifespan was cut in half

he was there, constantly THERE, to check up on her..... :( and this is one of the reasons why 5x20 still hurts so fucking much
