March 31st 2025: Mission Hill

No, you know what? I'm going to keep this going. Whatever nonsense 2025 has planned for me be damned. I set out to do this, and I'm not throwing away eight years because 2025 can go fuck itself. Instead, let's do one of my favorite shows of all time.

Mission Hill was Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein's masterclass in humor, storytelling, emotional narrative and character development.

I still catch myself referencing a show from 27 years ago, because it deserves to be remembered. The principal cast is Andy and Kevin French, two former suburbanite siblings living in the city. Kevin is the younger brother, and much of the plotline surrounding him deals with the culture shock of living in an urban environment, instead of the coddling suburbs.

Mission Hill has a colorful cast of characters, that get the spotlight occasionally, and each one brings something a little different for every situation.

Warner Bros can boil in their own fluids for screwing this show over, the way they did, and I'm glad they're going out of business.

Through their organization, Instituto Terra, they have planted over 2.7 million trees, successfully restoring more than 550 acres of forest and 2,000 natural springs. 

Their efforts have transformed a once barren landscape into a thriving forest ecosystem, demonstrating the profound impact that dedicated reforestation initiatives can have on environmental restoration.

I keep thinking about someone who broke my heart. I know there's others... but I honestly thought they were my one and only, they made me want to believe in soul mates...I moved home, hoping it would being us closer, like we used to be, instead you pushed further away, told me you found someone you were going to marry, then I got blocked out of your life. It was over 4 years ago and not a week goes by I dont think about you. There were times you reached out, asking me if I moved further away again... I moved to be close to you and now I can't even ask how your day is going. So much I want to talk about, memories I want to relive.... and I'll never get the chance, I won't get to be that special person for you... my heart breaks more every day, I can't get past you, it's impossible to forget you or even hate you... the pain I feel, is forever hidden away. No one will ever know how I'm really feeling, no one deserves to know, if this is the result.
