Hello Uncle Jack! Lovely to hear from you. I am well aware we have a meeting to return to, and I've been busy making crumpets to share with you. Thanks ever so much for your patience with my stagnant replies. My husband has been requiring more attention lately as his work at Haworth Laboratories has been more stressful than usual and alas, I've had many responsibilities to juggle. Hopefully though, I'll be able to respond to your original reply soon and we'll all meet up for tea, crumpets, and Joy.
It's been lovely seeing an update from you!
Your friend,
Mrs. Tilly Wyndham
hello my friends, and viewers...
I deeply apologize for my... absence. I know many of you have been following along with my regularly scheduled works, just to receive very little. It's been a rather interesting few months. You see, my companions down at the Bobby's offices have been... active. And a few of my popular friends were having some troubles. I need to check in on them often.
But, I'm trying to keep you all posted. Thank You for your patience.
Stay healthy, Wellington Wells! And always remember, happiness is a choice. Choose Joy!

Hello Mr. Days!
My name is Tilly Wyndham, but you can call me Ms. Wyndham, if you'd like! I just wanted to say it's an absolute joy seeing a new face in Wellington Wells, although I suppose I could've seen you before! The memory does get fuzzy for one around the edges, yes? Anywho, I hope you are having as lovely a day as I am!
Cheers,
Ms. Tilly Wyndham / @tillyonjoy
Salutations, Ms. Wyndham!
It is always wonderful to meet new and old faces over and again! I hope Wellington Wells has been treating you gently, and I hope to speak to you again soon!
Have a splendid day!

Every night, Tilly would sit and watch the telly, amazed by the fact that her letters were actually being answered on air. For once, she felt listened to. For once, Tilly felt heard.
Tilly would try to point out her letters to Peter whenever they got to the fan mail segment, but she was always met with a noncommittal grunt as he focused on reading a newspaper that had been re-published for the fourth time without anyone noticing.
Tonight was no different. The sitting room was colored with the cold black-and-white shadows projected by the television, and for once, this coldness didn't leave Tilly feeling alone and in need of a Joy. Fidgeting with her shaking hands with the bottle, she found herself subconsciously setting it aside as Uncle Jack read her letter out loud with his trademark enthusiasm. She wouldn't be needing her Joy tonight. Not right now, at least. She wanted a clear head to hear his response.
A grin broke out on Tilly's masked face as Uncle Jack responded to her letter with jubilant congratulations. Tilly didn't quite realize that she hadn't exactly followed Uncle Jack's advice to the letter. Her Joy usage had long since destroyed her memory, but she still did her best. The encouraging replies she had been getting from Wellington Wells' most adored TV host grew both her sense of unreality and her self-confidence.
After the Uncle Jack segment finished, Tilly stood up with a stretch--standing was getting harder these days, she tried not to think about it-- and turned off the telly. She informed Peter she would be in the study, and he replied with another noncommittal grunt.
Tilly sat at the writing desk in their study. The faded, cheery wallpaper on the walls contrasted eerily with the dark mahogany furniture. She turned on the brass lamp at the desk and wiped a finger along it's surface, frowning when she noticed the dust. She made sure to write herself a quick note to dust the study, and almost startled herself when she went to place the note in a place she'd look and saw an almost identical note already in that spot. Well. It seems it isn't the first time she's forgotten to clean the study.
Deciding her next letter to Uncle Jack could wait, Tilly spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the study. By the time she had finished, her mood had started to crash, and she found herself in need of another Joy.
Taking the small brown pill (her favorite Joy flavor was chocolate), Tilly smiled at the kaleidoscope of colors that swirled at the corners of her vision. Joy always gave her a dizzy, upbeat feeling with a side of a boost of energy.
Using this momentum, Tilly finally found it in her to pen her next letter:
"Dear Uncle Jack,
You've been a jolly good friend to me lately. I hope it's alright that I call you my friend! We are friends, yes? I've heard that all the citizens of Wellington Wells are your friends. Is it ever hard to balance so many friendships?
Oh, watch me prattle on. That's all besides the point! I was wondering if you are free this Sunday. You see, the neighborhood baking association is having a sale, and I would love for you to attend. It's been so long since anyone has seen you outside of that studio! I think it would put a smile on many's faces, including my own.
There would also be some free crumpets and teacakes in it for you, as I often wind up with some extras--"
Tilly frowned and her fountain pen paused for a moment. Did people not like her baking? Was that why there was always extras at the bake sale? She did her best with what she had. It wasn't her fault that half of the ingredients in her pantry was sawdust by this point. She popped another Joy to silence the thought. It took her a few moments to reorient herself enough to keep writing as the desk started to move beneath her in waves. With a shaky hand, she finished the letter.
"Well, I hope you think about it. Wellington Wells misses you.
It'll be a lovely day for it when you're around,
Mrs. Tilly Wyndham"
She smiled as she snatched up the paper and delicately placed it in an envelope. Tomorrow, Tilly would ensure this letter was received by the post office. Tonight, she collapsed in bed, sleeping off the excess Joy.
Dear Uncle Jack,
It's such a lovely day for it, thanks to you! I took your advice, and now I have a whole new friend to play pattycake with. You see, there was a new member who came to the neighborhood baking association last Tuesday. She was a former Downer, and had just been let back in from the Garden District. She had yet to find her place around all these happy folk, and I had the jolly opportunity to make her feel at home!
All week, I've been working on mending her clothes so that she can fit in with civil society. The poor thing just looked so bedraggled, and I can understand that it's hard to keep a smile on one's face when one isn't looking proper! Just yesterday when giving her her clothes, I finally got up my courage to ask her to be my new pattycake partner, and she said yes!
It's so good to see Downers come to their senses, don't you think? I just thought I'd share the wonderful news. I love my new friend already!
Cheers,
Mrs. Tilly Wyndham / @tillyonjoy
Oh my oh my. How wonderful! I’m very proud of you, Mrs Wyndham. It takes guts to put a smile on a Downer’s face.
I hope for nothing but the best for you and your escapades with your new patty cake partner.

I forgot how to read dates and saw your birthday was the year 21 and was immediately confused, hrh.
I wondered how you could be from a year decades after your time, then realised ... It's 1921. I just forgot there were other numbers before! How silly-

Yes, it's silly how one forgets things, isn't it! Sometimes, I forget that there are those from other times in my inbox. I'm terribly sorry for the confusion! I made sure to correct my birth date to a lovely "1921," so others can see what era I'm truly from! Thank you so much for taking the time to read about me. It's very kind!

Dear Uncle Jack,
My favorite patty cake partner didn't make it to our spot this morning, and I just heard she's went on holiday. I do miss her ever so much! Do you have any advice on finding a new patty cake partner? It's so hard to meet new friends these days!
Lovely day for it,
Tilly Hughes
Oh My! That’s awful! I apologize for the loss of your companion. But look at it this way! They may just be busy keeping up with their work!
My advice is to perhaps attend a meeting with fellow Single Patty Cake Players! I’m sure you’ll find someone willing to play.
Have a wonderful day, Miss Hughes!

Dear Uncle Jack,
I've found a disproportionate amount of metal flakes in my water lately. Generally I don't mind a few here and there. Iron is good for you, after all! But don't you think the citizens of Wellington Wells deserve cleaner water? All the better to taste the Joy in, methinks! Anywho, I hope you don't mind me nattering on like this. I felt you would be the one to care!
Lovely day for it,
Tilly Hughes
Oh, nothing to worry about my dear! In fact, it’s not a matter of the water being unclean! Rather, it’s just our lovely doctors trying to keep us healthy! Sometimes, our joy makes us forget to take our vitamins! And they’re simply looking after us. No need to fret.

💊 General Info, Joy Usage & Relationships
General Info:
Name: Mrs. Clair Matilda “Tilly” Wyndham
Age: 44 (3/4/1921)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Unknown
Occupation: A Wellette housewife, leader of JTPFA, and occasional freelance seamstress.
Joy Usage
Favorite Flavor: Chocolate
Frequency: Tilly dutifully takes her Joy every hour. Sometimes, she'll wake up in the middle of the night from nightmares and take more Joy even then. Occasionally, Tilly forgets that she has already taken her Joy and takes it more than once an hour.
Effect on Personality: While Joy does help her forget many painful memories and has made her an overall more optimistic and imaginative person, it also has heavily impeded her working memory, and her imaginative tendencies often fall into dissociative territory, making her seem “spacey.”
Side Effects: Tilly suffers from occasional black outs, weight loss, lightheadedness, and poor working memory because of both her Joy usage and the food shortage in Wellington Wells.
Relationships:
Affiliations: Tilly is part of a fan group for Nick Lightbearer fans and her neighborhood baking association. Tilly also is the leader of JTPFA, or “Joyous Tea Parties For All,” which is a club dedicated to hosting Joy-fuelled tea parties, especially for those who normally would not have the means for such festive activities.
Family: Tilly's mother and father were named Winnie and Chester Enfield and both are deceased. She has an older sister named Joan Bright, a brother-in-law named Pv. Jonathan Bright and two nephews named Benson and Nathan; all of which are missing and have been missing for years. She had twins named Winnie and Chester, both of which were taken from her during the Very Bad Thing. Her husband, Dr. Peter Wyndham, is currently her only “family,” and their marriage is very strained.
Friends: Tilly has friends, but none that are close. They all are people she's met through JTPFA (the club she started), the neighborhood's baking association, and through her clients as a freelance seamstress. They are all more friendly acquaintances than friends.
Enemies: Tilly has a few rivals in the sewing industry. There are also those who are jealous of the life she’s able to live, as being married to a Joy Doctor, she’s a lot more well off than many other Wellies. Some also simply don’t like her head-in-the-clouds, careless attitude. While she wouldn't call any of these people enemies, they probably would not say the same about her.
Romantic Interests: None. She is in a loveless marriage.

💊Personality & Appearance
Personality:
Tilly is as cheery as can be. As a dutiful Wellette, she prides herself on keeping a clean house and mind. Sometimes, it can be hard to see where the Joy ends and the real Tilly begins. Her true self has been buried over nearly a decade of Joy Usage. Regardless of this, her heart generally seems to be in the right place. She cares deeply about others, yet can sometimes be contrarily unaware of others’ opinions of her, and sometimes social norms. She often has her head in the clouds with her borderline delusional sense of optimism and whimsy.
Strengths: Tilly was trained to be what her parents thought a “good housewife” should be. She is skilled in mending and sewing, as well as cleaning, cooking and baking. Out of all these skills, she enjoys baking the most. She prides herself on being good-natured and easy to get along with. Her excitement is also the infectious kind. Tilly is the life of any party.
Weaknesses: Tilly is already a quite trusting person, and Joy takes this to almost an absurd degree. Her kindness also leaves her vulnerable to abuse. On multiple occasions, she also has almost burned down her own house on accident due to her baking and forgetting about whatever she has in the oven.
Motivations: Tilly's main motivation is to escape her suffocating life as a housewife. Other motivations include: wanting to forget the Very Bad Thing, wanting friendship, and wanting to be kind.
Appearance:
Tilly overall seems surprisingly well kept and has a springy gait. Her face is cherubic in shape, which contrasts with the rest of her build.
Height: 5’7”
Build: very thin and somewhat frail.
Hair: graying medium brown
Eyes: green
Skin: pale
Clothing Style: tends to fit in with the rest of Wellington Wells with it's modesty. She can often be seen in a floor length skirt and a brightly colored blouse, which she'll pair with silk gloves and a cloche hat. Her attire has a whimsical edge to it. She always opts for blouses with bell sleeves when possible (as they remind her of Nick Lightbearer), and often participates in whatever the trend-of-the-week is when it comes to clothing. Her clothes always seem very pristine and well kept, even when she herself seems undone from too much Joy.
Mask: mostly plain, the only embellishments being the light blue eyeshadow above the eye holes and the bright red lipstick over the mouth. It is fitted snugly to her round face.
Notable Features: a mole above her left eyebrow and on her left wrist. She also has a fist-sized moon shaped scar on her right knee. Additionally, she has deep crows feet around her eyes and subtle laugh lines.
Inventory: carries a sizeable Mod-inspired handbag (often in a flourscent color matching her blouse) with her old wallet, a pair of safety scissors, a couple spare bottles of joy, and a pocketbook inside. The wallet contains a photo of her husband, and two old photos of her twins tucked safely behind it to avoid triggering poor memories. The pocketbook in her handbag is for handling her financial and day-to-day responsibilities, as Joy usage has heavily affected her working memory. The spare joy is both for herself in case she has a bad day, and for any down-on-their-luck Wellie who happens to need a pick-me-up.

💊Backstory
Tilly grew up with her parents and her sister on a smaller island that is now part of the garden district. As a young girl, Tilly's middle-class parents doted on her endlessly, determined to give her a life better than their own. They worked hard to prepare her and her sister for a brighter future, hoping she would marry a wealthy man who could elevate their family's social standing. Rather than letting their coddling spoil her, these experiences led Tilly down a path of empathy and natural trust towards others.
When Tilly was younger, she fell for a man around her age named Peter Wyndham, whom she had met at a social gathering orchestrated by her mother. At the time, he was training to become a military medic and she had just finished her schooling; further apprenticing as a seamstress via a friend of her father's, who worked in the textile industry.
While not exactly the aristocrat her parents had hoped for, her parents overall approved of their relationship– most likely due to his noble last name, regardless of his debatable affiliation. They were married by the next year. She soon found her new life to be very isolating and suffocating. Tilly was so closed off from the outside world that when her parents died during a German bombing, the only person who told her was her husband. Tilly was expecting twins at this time, and the abrupt death of her parents gave her the names she was looking for to name her kids: Winifred and Chester.
When the Very Bad Thing occured, Winnie and Chester were under 13, and Tilly was forced to give them up. The 6 years between that incident and the introduction of Joy to the population was pure chaos for her. She kept her head down, and brought back her old skills as a seamstress to make ends meet while her husband worked on transitioning his career from military man to doctor.
Tilly's older sister, Joan Bright, her brother-in-law, Pv. Jonathan Bright, and two nephews, Nathaniel and Benson; mysteriously vanished a few months before the beginning of the Very Bad Thing. This is another memory she often tries to avoid thinking about, as Tilly and Joan were once quite close as kids.
When Joy was still being perfected, Tilly was one of the first test subjects to use it. After working as a freelance seamstress for a scientist of Haworth Labs, Tilly was informed of the trial runs for the drug, and was quick to volunteer. It only took one pill for her to realize this was exactly what she was missing in life. Joy effectively hid the loneliness and despair Tilly held away from herself.
At first, Tilly's husband couldn't have been happier. Not only was he relieved of tending to her emotional needs, but as a doctor seeking employment, her volunteer work had secured him a position at Haworth Labs. He'd only regret this once Tilly started her “tea parties.”
Following encouragement given by the scientists of Haworth Labs shortly after Joy was officially released for public consumption, Tilly held tea parties in which the use of Joy was encouraged and served on platters alongside lovely cakes and cookies she baked herself. She was one of the many early Joy adopters who normalized its frequent use for others.
After being lonely in her marriage for so long, Tilly found herself surrounded by people just like her. She still hosts these Joy tea parties to this day. She pretends not to notice her dwindling guests. She pretends not to notice the sawdust she now has to cut the flour for her cookies with. She pretends not to notice her husband's increasing emotional distance. She pretends not to notice an awful lot of things, including her own deepening ennui.

Note from Mun: Hello, I am pretty open to most rps, including crossovers! If we go for something romantic, I prefer to keep things SFW and am not looking for any ERP. My rp style is generally paragraph-style (sometimes multi-paragraph), but I am open to more short and casual forms of rp.
