out of curiosity, will TT have a happy ending? or will you crush our hopes and dreams
Now HOW do you expect me to answer that!? Talk about spoiler territory! 😭
TT will not have a BAD ending, I will say that. if or not it will be ‘happy’ by most standards I dunno…but it will be…good. I think certain good. We just got a lot to take care of before we get to that 😅

Just relistened to No Longer You after hearing the Ithaca Saga and guys. the way this song foreshadows the rest of the musical is so INCREDIBLY genius. So first up we have the chorus, which has a whole bunch of lil easter eggs:
“I see a song of past romance” - refers to the sirens, and how they showed the romance between Ody and Penelope before Odysseus went off to war
“I see the sacrifice of man”- literally, men being sacrificed- I'm assuming this refers to Odysseus sacrificing his crew to Scylla so that the rest could get home.
“I see portrayals of betrayal, and a brothers final stand”-Odysseus betraying his men, and then them betraying him, and him betraying them again, leading to the final stand of Eurylocus, his figurative brother, yes, but also his literal brother in law
“I see you on the brink of death”- this could refer to several points in the musical, but I like to believe that it refers to the literal brink of death-Odysseus standing on the edge of a cliff, haunted by his demons, as Calypso begs him not to jump.
“I see you draw your final breath”-this one’s tricky, but I like to think it refers to when Odysseus was slammed into the sea by Poseidon's trident in Get In The Water. He was going to die, but was able to push forward by remembering all those he had lost-he drew his final breath, and then kept going.
“I see a man who gets to make it home alive, but it’s no longer you.”-Odysseus DOES make it home, but is forever changed by what he had to do to get there. He believes he’s not the same person as when he left, but Penelope proves to him he’s still her husband, she still loves him, and would fall in love with him over and over again no matter what he’s done or how long it’s been.
the background choir also has some really cool lyrics-“sirens song” “Scylla’s throat” “Mutiny” “lightning bolt” “Blood of Poseidon” “kill all the suitors for love”-although a bit harder to make out, these are super interesting too :D
sorry for the long post! these are just my thoughts, if yall think differently feel free to share :)
edit: I have been informed it is “fight Poseidon”, not “blood of Poseidon” :)

I think all the difficulties that Jorge and the cast faced both getting to Ithaca and then releasing the Ithaca Saga (the missed ferry, the internet issues, and of course the huge STORM) just proves that Jorge was in fact Odysseus in a past life and Poseidon is VERY much Still Salty about it
