Before Pink Floyd became a bloated, overwrought mouthpiece for Roger Waters' childhood issues, the band was a super tight, Syd Barrett-fronted psychedelic band that basically defined the genre. As an obsessive collector of psychedelic music, I love this era in the band's trajectory the most, and largely eschew the excesses that define Pink Floyd's later catalog. So, when I find something like the video above - early Pink Floyd playing 'Top of the Pops' in 1967, I get super excited. Watch the video and learn why I have my music boner going hard.

White Fence, who's new album 'For the Recently Found Innocent' is a major contender for TTE's Best Album of the Year, just released his first official video. The song 'Like That' does everything that White Fence does best, combining all the subgenres of the psychedelic genre into a stunningly cohesive whole that moves and grooves with the best psych rock out there today. Check out the video and dig the lyrics - his wish to live 'like that' is something I can relate to, for sure.

It's been far too long sorting through the detritus of this life, one that often seems to no longer fit. Oh and I can blame my silence on the fact that my computer died...At any rate, I'm back. And so...Guilty Pleasure of the Day comes from the verdant state of Oregon. It's "Falling Through the Roof" from Horse Feathers' debut album Words Are Dead (2005, Lucky Madison Records)...and indeed they seem to be as of late.
