a fun thing about buddie is that i think if eddie came out to buck, it would (to buck) just solidify that eddie is not and has never been an option for him. eddie likes men, and eddie told him that this changes nothing when he came out. so it can't change anything. it won't.

meanwhile, to eddie, coming out to buck would essentially be a love confession. because if he wants men, of course he wants buck. that goes without saying (it does not).

i can't stop thinking about the way buck and eddie physically cannot take their eyes off each other on that rooftop without intervention. like from the moment buck touches down on the roof, he's staring at eddie like he's seeing an angel, all awe and disbelief, that shocked smile curled into his face. and eddie's looking right back, sure and steady but mostly just relieved, because buck is there with him and he's safe and everything's going to be okay. and he's just waiting for buck to be unhooked and buck's waiting to be unhooked, physically can't take his eyes off eddie to unhook himself even though it'd be quicker. and it's only when ravi barrells into eddie that he manages to take his eyes away from buck.

"Buddie didn't go canon, not enough crumbs, Buck moving out, it's all falling apart" like...did we all watch the same finale?

The concerned stares during Eddie's farewell at the station, the pure joy and love during the rescue (he's truly been right in front of you this whole time, huh?) and mostly: do you really think Buck is going to find an apartment soon? His credit score is terrible AND he will find something wrong with every single place he visits and you know it.

Was it a great finale? No. But it gave us enough inspiration to fix all of that on AO3.
