Period Pain
Nanami Kento x Reader
Despite the stoic and aloofness Nanami Kento presents, he surprises students in how caring and protective he is of them. Especially Itadori Yuji. Nanami grew attached to the boy, reminding him of Haibara. Their relationship from student to teacher blossomed to friends.
“Nanamin, are you okay?” Yuji asked after they finished a mission together. He found Nanami off to the side of the building, worry evident on his face.
“Do me a favor, Itadori-kun,” he said.
“Hai!”
He quickly returned home. The soft sound of the television in the living room was mixed in with the sounds of your soft whimpering. He quickly removed his shoes and jacket before walking towards you.
He found you curled up on the couch with the blanket covering your whole body. A heating pad was pressed against your stomach and the bottle of painkillers sat on the table. He sat on the floor, not wanting to make any movements to cause anymore pain.
“I’m here, darling,” he said softly and kissed the top of your forehead. You wish his kisses would get rid of the excruciating cramps you were experiencing. But unfortunately, it didn’t. Any sort of movement killed your uterus.
Nanami hated this time of the month. Not because of your moodiness nor the fact you two couldn’t have sex. It was only because times like this, he can’t do anything to prevent the pain you’re experiencing.
“I’m sorry,” you softly said. “It’s so bad.” Your voice was barely audible.
“You took the pain killers?” You barely nodded.
“J-Just now. It just happened.”
“Itadori-kun is buying your things,” he said. “He’ll be over soon.” The mention of his name made you smile. You love how attached he is to the boy.
“You two are so cute,” you said before wincing in pain when you wanted to adjust your positioning. To humor you, Nanami just smiled a small smile instead of responding with a stern look.
“I’m going to shower okay?” he said. “I gave Itadori-kun the passcode just in case he comes by earlier. If you need anything, tell him what you want.”
“Thank you, Kento-kun,” you quietly said. He leaned in and gently kissed the side of your head.
“You’re welcome, my love. I’m sorry I can’t do anything with your pain.”
“Don’t be,” she said. “Just stay home with me for the rest of the day.”
“Okay, my love.”

Welcome And Goodbye
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song: welcome and goodbye by Dream, Ivory)
It’s been three years. Three years since he returned back to Jujutsu High.
Three years without you.
You both had the same mindset after the death of Haibara when you were in your first year as students. Having to risk your life as a jujutsu sorcerer felt too much of a burden, especially for you. You two didn’t realize it until later; how much of an impact Haibara made into your lives until the break up. He was the reason that you and Nanami became a couple for six years. The reason why you two left behind the life of a sorcerer. However, once Nanami returned, his death became the reason of the break up.
Nanami arrived home late again. He hated staying out late for work. It was seldom, but he knew you were going to worry yourself out. He stopped at Jujutsu High after his mission for Shoko to heal his injury.
He found his dinner on the table, wrapped up for him to eat when he arrived home. He looked at the counter filled with papers, textbooks, and your laptop. Guilt crept in him. Quietly, Nanami walked inside the shared bedroom. He found you curled up in a ball, fast asleep. The closer he walked to you, the more he saw the tears that stained your cheeks. He hated it. Especially because he was gone so late, he knew you cried so much with worry.
When he sat down, you felt the bed dip and woke up. You jumped up and wrapped your arms around him. You couldn’t help but cry. You couldn’t help but worry about the possibility of death happening to him. However, you knew the consequences when he decided to return.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly and kissed your forehead.
“I’m just glad you’re home safe.”
He remembered that week all too well. Three years later, it plays over and over in his mind. He remembered you two sitting on the couch, wanting to talk about the relationship and his job. He remembered the tears that you tried to hold but failed to. He remembered you mutually agreeing about breaking up. He remembered it all, detail to detail. The broken look on your face, what you wore, how your hair was. He remembered packing his things. The last time you two made love and kissed before he left to stay with Gojo until he found himself his own place.
He wonders everyday if you were doing okay. But he knows that you are. You still lived in the same apartment. You worked overnights at the hospital. You still attend the same school and you’re at your last year of it. He knows the café you visit frequently because he saw you a year later when he needed something to eat. So every now and then, he goes there to pay for your coffee and snack before you got there.
“I don’t see why you can’t go up to her and just say hi,” Gojo said. Nanami sighed, turning the page of his newspaper.
“She has her new and better life,” Nanami answered. “Besides, as long as I know that she’s okay, that’s all that matters.”
“But you won’t know unless you ask. She’s good at putting up a mask. And you know it. You just read her well.” Nanami was silent. Sometimes, Gojo does have a point.
“Do you talk to her?” he asked curiously.
“Of course! You know, I had her meet my students. She gives them great insight.” Gojo’s smile was wide. Nanami was surprised. He didn’t think you would keep in contact with anyone. But, Gojo was the one who kept tabs on you for him during the recent stage of the break up. It only made sense that you and Gojo would talk to each other now and then.
Nanami made it to the café again. He paid for your future order and sat in the corner, drinking his own cup of tea as he read the newspaper.
He found you walking inside. He enjoys the surprise look on your face when you found your order paid and ready to go again. He couldn’t help but smile to himself. You sat at the opposite side of the café where the windows were. You always love being by the sunlight. You were typing continuously. He could assume that you were typing a paper. Nanami thought of ways to approach you, but stopped himself every time.
The next time he looked up, he found a man sitting down in front of you. His heart sank. You smiled widely at him and laughed at whatever he said. He wanted to leave. He wanted you to be happy, but he didn’t want to see it with another man.
“Hello?” you said, answering a sudden phone call. “Satoru?” The name coming out of your mouth made his ears perk. He couldn’t help but look up just a bit. “I might be a bit late. Later.” He couldn't help but wonder when you called Gojo by his first name, too. Panic settled within him.
You stood up and packed your things, and told the guy that you’re heading out. Nanami watched the man lending you his sweater but you politely declined. The man was persistent and Nanami smiled as you continued to reject the offer. He could safely assume that you weren’t interested.
As you left, Nanami stood up. He folded the newspaper and threw his empty cup in the garbage. He left the café, deciding to go home and not continue to see you what you were going to do with Gojo.
“Hey there, stranger.” The sound of your voice surprised him. He slowly turned around and found you hugging yourself warm and giving him a shy smile. “It’s been a while.”
“Y-Yeah. How did you—“
“It’s not everyday that a tall man with blonde hair comes in the café. You’re not hard to miss, especially with that tie of yours,” you said with a small laugh. Nanami couldn’t help but smile back. There you were, finally in front of him three years later.
“I…I um…” You were the only one who could get him flustered like this. It still amuses him to this day.
“Thank you. For the coffee and snacks,” you said.
“How did you know?”
“I only realized it a few months ago. I noticed you the day it was paid for. I…I didn’t know how to approach you.”
He called out your name. His voice was soft and gentle. Your heart fluttered at the sound of his voice. It was music to your ears. You had to stop yourself from touching him, from holding his hand. You were dying for his touch and kisses. Everyday for the past three years.
You thought about him every day. You were heart broken that day. Nanami Kento wasn’t just your lover but also your best friend. He knew you inside and out. He knew you more than you knew yourself. But after your talk with him three years ago, the worry was too much where you agreed to end the relationship while he didn’t want you to worry. And you regretted it ever since. Because no matter how happy everyone sees that you were, deep down you still weren’t.
Nanami watched you shiver again. Swiftly, he took his suit jacket off and placed it around your shoulders. You felt weak from his smell. You missed him too much.
“You should hurry. Gojo-san is waiting,” he said sadly and quietly.
“Satoru can wait,” you said. He watched the tears form and he watched you hold them in. “You seem to be doing great though. Kicking ass I bet.”
“Yeah, I guess I am,” he replied softly.
“Kento, I—-“ You blushed, you haven’t really said his name in a while too. It felt foreign but it also felt so right. You lost your train of thought. Nanami usually has that effect on you.
“Do you have time then? I-I really missed you and…”
“Follow me.” And so he did. Nanami followed you for a few blocks. He realized that you were leading him to your place. “Want some tea?”
“Please.”
It was the same as it was, except there were no pictures of the two of you around the apartment. The couch was new and even the table yet the layout and arrangement never changed. He went in the kitchen with you. He sat at the high chair at the counter, watching you heat up water in the kettle.
“The truth is, I’ve been training with Satoru for the past two years,” you confessed. “I told him not tell you because I wasn’t ready to see you just yet.” Nanami’s eyes widened.
“So…a-are you coming back?” he asked.
“Somewhat? Not completely,” she answered.
“What made you change your mind?” You knew that he wanted to protect the younger sorcerers. You couldn't say no to him for that reason. Strangely, you missed the action. You missed helping people in need. It was why you decided to go into the healthcare field but sometimes, it just wasn't the same.
“I miss helping people,” you answered. “But I also miss the action. That was fun.”
“What about school? You worked hard.”
“I’ll still do it,” you said. “I still don’t want to be a sorcerer forever.” Nanami nodded. He understood. It was the same for him.
“Itadori-kun has a lot of potential,” Nanami said. You nodded.
“A lot of growth is needed for him. But Satoru has promising students."
“So, you train and partake in missions?”
“No missions. Just training and teaching whenever I can.”
“I never noticed you.”
“I haven’t either.”
It was quiet again for the two of you. You went back and turned the stove off. You poured hot water in two tea cups and gave each other black tea bags. Nanami quietly thanked you and blew at the hot liquids.
You texted Gojo. You were going to cancel the training session. All he did was text you good luck. You feel like you know Gojo well enough that he knows that you’re with Nanami.
You vented to Gojo a lot. And he’ll tell you the same thing every time. To go and talk to him. You had it all planned out today. But the moment you stood in front of him, everything you planned for was gone. So for a while, the two of you drank your tea with content silence until it was prolonged and awkward. Nanami looked at the time and stood up from his seat.
“I should head back,” he said. You looked at the time. It was already eight. And you knew Nanami. It was almost time for him to get ready for bed.
“R-Right,” you said, disappointment evident in your voice and it didn’t go unnoticed by him. He slowly got ready to go. By the time he was at the door, the two of you two remained silent. Both of you wanting to tell each other to stay.
“I’ll see you around,” he said and turned around. He immediately felt you grab his wrist. He turned around and the moment he saw your tears, he pulled you into his arms.
“I missed you too, Kento,” you said, replying to his statement from the café. “I missed you so much. I regret it. I never should’ve left. I should’ve tried harder and—“ His grip on you tightened.
“I never should’ve brought it up,” he said. “I never…I should’ve…fuck. I missed you so much.”
The two of you remained like that for a while, with you in his arms and his face buried in the crook of your neck. When he pulled away to look at you, he cupped your face and used his thumbs to wipe your tears away. You couldn’t help but smile from his comfort. Nanami smiled back and rested his forehead on yours. You two took in the comfort that was missed for the past few years.
“I never stopped loving you,” he confessed.
“I love you too, Kento. So, so much.”
He captured your lips. He closed the door and lifted you up. You wrapped your arms around his neck and legs around his waist. Nanami carried you to your bedroom. Gently, he laid you down, lips still glued to each other. He gently bit your lower lip and caressed the side of your body. You softly moaned at his touch. You loosened his tie and unbuttoned shirt. Nanami was the first to pull away. He admired your flushed and breathless look. He smiled softly and gave you soft kisses all over your face.
“Have you ever…was there ever anyone else?” he asked curiously. You shook your head.
“Just you Kento. How about you?” Your answer made his smile wider. He captured your lips again before replying the same answer you gave him. And the two of you stayed up together, catching up on the three years missing each other.
The sunlight shining through the thin curtains stirred you awake. Memories of last night flooded your mind and you blushed as you turned around. Next to you was Nanami. You smiled, missing his serene and sleepy face in the mornings. You couldn’t help but softly brush his hair back. Nanami smiled and slowly opened his eyes.
“Good morning, darling,” he greeted, voice hoarse and tired.
“Good morning.”
“Come here.” He opened his arms and you eagerly went to him. Nanami gave you soft kisses on your shoulders, up to your neck, then to your lips. You shuddered and sighed in content. “After last night, I'm not leaving you ever again."
“I wouldn’t let you,” you said.
“Do you have class?” he asked curiously. You nodded and told him that it started in a couple of hours. “I’ll drive you. Go get ready then we could go to my place and I can do the same.” You got up out of bed and walked to your closet. You pulled out clothes, but what surprised him were also clothes that he left at your place.
“They were in the laundry. I couldn't throw them away,” you said. “We can spend more time together before we go now.” Nanami got up and hugged you.
Students couldn’t help but stare at the two of you, especially at Nanami. Nanami carried your bag and held your hand. You guided him to the building, excitedly telling him about your semesters in school.
“What are your plans for today?” he asked.
“This is my only lecture, but I go to lab and practice skills for about an hour. Then the library to study. If Satoru calls me, I might train instead. I have work tonight, too.” You pouted at the idea of work. You hated working and going to school. It was tiring, especially when you train with Gojo. Now being back with Nanami, you were contemplating on calling out tonight. It has been a while.
“Call me. I might be able to pick you up," Nanami offered. “I’m going on a mission with Itadori-kun, but it shouldn’t take too long.”
“Text me when you get to the place and let me know when you’re done?”
“Of course, love.” He walked you all the way to your classroom. He gave you back your backpack and pulled his wallet out to hand you his credit card.
“Wait, Kento—“
“When you need coffee and food,” he said. “I know you need the coffee.” When you didn’t take the card, he sighed and took your hand and placed it there. “Let me take care of you again. I miss it.” You couldn’t help but smile.
“Okay,” you said happily. “I’ll see you later.”
“I love you, darling.” Nanami gave you a soft kiss.
“I love you, too.”

Happy Birthday
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song Inspiration: I Like Me Better by Lauv)
It’s my birthday month! So here’s a birthday special.
Quickly, the alarm was turned off. Nanami slowly turned to face you and smiled with relief and adoration. Relief that you didn’t wake up at 5:00 in the morning. And how much he adores looking at you when you sleep. You are perfect in his eyes. His heart skipped beats the longer he stared at you. Slowly and carefully, he kissed your forehead before getting to the shower to start his morning.
He carefully fixed his hair in the bathroom. He put on his tie and fixed the cuffs of his blue long sleeve button up before exiting the bathroom. He walked over to you again and smiled. Nanami leaned in and kissed your forehead before leaving.
“H-Honey?” Your tired voice had his body freeze at the bedroom door. He slowly turned around to face you. Quietly, he chuckled. You were still asleep. He watched you grab his pillow and hugged it tightly to your chest. You took a deep breath and smiled contently.
“I love you,” sweetheart,” he said softly and left the room.
You were frantic. You woke up late for class. You faintly heard your alarm and when you saw the time at 10:15, you jumped out of bed to get ready. You quickly showered, put together a cute outfit, and applied makeup before heading out the door.
You took a quick look in the mirror. You made sure your tights weren’t ripped, your boot socks matched your beige sweater dress and your boots were tied. You grabbed a beanie off the hook from the wall and your dark brown peacoat. With your key in hand, you threw your backpack in the passenger seat and drove off.
With your phone connected via Bluetooth to the car, you smiled widely to see your boyfriend’s name pop up on your screen.
“Honey!” you greeted happily, forgetting about the rush you just endured this morning.
“Good morning, my love,” Nanami said softly. “How was your morning? You’re almost at school?” You blushed.
“I woke up late and rushed to get ready,” you answered sheepishly. “I left five minutes ago.”
“Okay, my love,” he said. “Get there safely. I’ll make sure I get back home at 6PM.”
“Okay, honey. Did you leave early?”
“I did. I wanted to make sure I get things done so I can leave at a good time at work. I’ll see if Gojo-san can do last minute missions for me.”
“Since you’re trying to come home early, maybe we can stay in and watch a movie? It’s supposed to snow pretty bad in the afternoon. You’ll let me know when you leave right?” you asked worriedly.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Nanami replied. “You’ll do the same?”
“I always do.” He chuckled softly, making your heart flutter with happiness.
“What else do you want to do today?” he asked curiously. You thoughtfully pondered on the question.
“I don’t know,” you answered. “Besides a movie. Or maybe we can read together. Or play a game?”
“Sweetheart, I love you. We’ll play it by ear then.”
“Yeah, we’ll do that.”
You were lucky the snow started to fall when you left class. You quickly stopped at the grocery store and bought some needed fruits and vegetables along with a bottle of red wine. The snowfall became heavier.
You: I just stopped at the store. I’m going home now. I love you❤️ Please be home soon🥺
Nanami: I think I left a bag in the trunk of your car.
By the time you arrived home, the snow covered the ground. Large snowflakes fell through the sky. As annoying the drive was, watching the snowfall was peaceful. Now that you were out of the car, you smiled widely.
You opened the trunk, checking for the bag that your boyfriend left. Your eyes widened to see a large leopard plushie and a bouquet of flowers. A card sat in front of the plushie. With a large smile on your face, you picked up the card.
Happy Birthday, My Love.
I’ll see you at home. I love you so much. You deserve everything.
Love,
Kento
You took a quick picture of the presents Nanami left before carrying them in your arms. You laughed to yourself as you unlocked the door.
“I can’t believe I forgot that it was my birthday,” you said to yourself. You kicked the snow off of your boots before stepping inside your shared apartment. You walked inside the kitchen and you gasped. Candle lights were lit up. Bags of gifts covered the countertop, leaving room for a small birthday cake in the middle. “Kento?”
“Happy birthday, my love.” You turned around and watched Nanami walked over to you with a smile on his face. Nanami hugged you tightly in his arms before kissing you passionately. “You forgot.”
“Y-Yeah.”
“Didn’t realize in school?” You shook your head. “Not even when you looked at your phone? The date is right in front of you.” You lightly chuckled.
“Not at all.” Nanami laughed and kissed your forehead. “W-When did you do all of this, honey?”
“I left early to put the plushie, flowers, and card in the trunk. But you didn’t say anything so I text you about a ‘bag’. I took the day off today to buy you presents, your cake, and dinner. I made your favorite dish. And—“
“You bought me a strawberry cake?” you asked excitedly. Nanami nodded and you cheered happily. Nanami took the plushie and flowers from your arms and put them by the bags of presents. You looked over at the counter. “You bought me so much. You didn’t have to do that.”
“You tell me that every year for the past five years,” he said. You blushed.
“And every year the presents increase.” Nanami lightly laughed and kissed your pouty lips.
“Like I said, you deserve everything.” You smiled softly and nodded. “I love you, sweetheart.”
“I love you too, honey. Can I open my presents now?” you immediately asked with excitement.
“Go ahead, love.”

Pinch Me, I’m Dreaming
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song: Must Be Dreaming by Bien)
He doesn’t consider himself as a loner. Just quiet. He’s always the rational and analytical type of the friend group. He already has his future planned out. To live his life as a sorcerer and then retire. Retiring as a sorcerer, he hopes that he can find a companion and live out a normal life.
But things change. He never expected the change, and he tried so hard to keep his plans aligned.
“Kento-kun, you there?” you asked as you wave your hand in front of his face. Nanami looked up at you, returning back to reality. You smiled widely at him. “You’re back.”
Nanami couldn’t help but smile when he sees your bright smile. The two of you are at the library of Jujutsu High, enjoying the silence and each other’s company while you two read together.
You weren’t a sorcerer of any sorts. But you are able to dream of the future. It was how you two met when you dreamt of the then stranger with blonde hair in danger and went to the area from your dream. Nanami’s mission was assigned there and since that day, he couldn’t help but see you more after saving your life when you tried to save his.
“You finished your book,” he said. You nodded.
“I brought another one,” you replied as you pulled another book out of your purse. Your stomach growled.
“Are you hungry?”
“Very.”
“You should’ve said something.”
“This is comforting. The comfort beats food.” He couldn’t help but chuckle. He put his book down.
“Let’s go.”
After he walked you home, Nanami lied in bed. Thoughts of you filled his mind. He tries so hard to divert back to what he originally needs to do. He couldn’t let you worry when he’s out on missions. He couldn’t let you be heartbroken because of injuries or worst, his death. He couldn’t be selfish even if he really wanted to. He took his cell phone and made a phone call.
“N-Nanami?”
“Haibara.”
“You alright? Odd of you to call me at this time,” he said with a yawn. Nanami apologized. He knew it was odd. It was late at night and usually he wouldn’t call anyone at this time. “Is it about her again?”
“What makes you say that?” Nanami questioned. He was responded back with a chuckle from his close friend.
“You bring her to the school,” he said. “I think that says a lot.” Nanami couldn’t help but feel himself blush. “Just ask her out.”
“But—“
“Screw your plans man. Talk it out with her. At least now, we won’t have to watch you two dance around each other,” Haibara said. “Plus, I don’t want you to regret it.”
“Thank you.”
And he remained awake for most of the night. He sent you a goodnight text even though he knew you were already sleeping. All night, he planned of a way to make you his. All he could think about is you.
When morning arrived, he quickly got ready and walked out of his apartment. He stopped by the flower shop, bakery, and your favorite coffee shop. He felt nerves building up, and every time they did, he pushed them away. When he arrived, he could hear music softly playing outside your door. He smiled. He could imagine you dancing around in your pajamas. Maybe doing your morning routine as you sang along to the music. He imagined waking up to you with your music. He wouldn’t mind it at all. Building up his courage, Nanami knocked on your door. Within a second, you answered the door. He watched your eyes widened and a smile forming on your face.
“Good morning, Kento-kun!” you greeted happily. Nanami smiled.
“Good morning,” he said and held out the things he bought for you. “These are for you.”
“Kento-kun,” you said softly, feeling speechless at his sudden gesture. You invited him inside. As he walked around your apartment, you arranged the flowers in a vase as you drank your coffee. “Thank you. They’re so beautiful.” He called your name, getting your attention. He couldn’t form the thoughts in his head as he looked at you wearing an oversized crewneck and black shorts. He cleared his throat and walked closer to you.
“I-I want…” He can feel the heat creeping up his face. “I can’t stop thinking about you. Even when I’m not with you, I can’t help but wonder if you’re doing okay. When I close my eyes, all I see is you. And when I sleep, I dream about you.” You can feel your heart race.
“But…your plans…” You stopped talking when he shook his head. He tucked a strand of your hair behind your ear before cupping a side of your face with his hand. He gently caressed the soft skin of your cheek.
“I don’t want to regret not being with you,” he said softly. “I want you in my plans. I want you to be a part of my life and not just a friend but much more.”
“You mean that?”
“Every word. I know it might be hard to be with me, so it’s up to you now. I’ll be happy with whatever decision you make.”
“I’ve always dreamt of this moment,” you said with a smile. “I don’t want to regret not being with you too.”
“Then that means…” He felt you tug in his tie to bring his lips to yours. You wrapped your arms around his neck and played the back of his hair while his hands cupped your face. “I’m not dreaming?”
“Not at all.”

With You Again
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song: The Universe We Dreamt by Matt DiMona)
You ran to the mailbox and went through the letters, throwing the ones that didn’t seem important to you on the floor. The large envelope was finally here. You held onto it tightly as you grabbed your phone.
“Hello?”
“Kento-kun! Come over!” You heard a chair get pushed back on his end.
“Everything okay, darling?” he asked worriedly.
“The letter came! I need you!” you exclaimed. “Like now! Please, my love!” Nanami had to pull his phone away from his ear from your loud voice.
“You’re being dramatic again.”
“I get a pass for being dramatic because my college letter came in!”
“Alright, I’ll be there. I love you.”
“I love you, too. Now hurry up!” You smiled when you heard the keys jingle before he hung up.
With your dramatic self, it felt like forever for Nanami to come over. He entered inside your apartment, panting as he walked to you. You ran to him, pulled on his arm excitedly as you dragged him to the kitchen where the letter lied on the table. You picked it up, handing it to him.
“Open it.” He raised an eyebrow at you. “You’re my good luck charm. Open it.”
“Please, Juilliard would be idiots for not accepting you,” Nanami said as he unsealed the envelope. Your heart was racing and your palms became sweaty. You couldn’t hear anything but the thumping of your heart as you watched Nanami’s lips move. But you kept your eyes on him, hoping to know the result from his expression. Unfortunately for you, he’s good at keeping up an act. “Sweetheart, let’s celebrate.” He flipped the letter for you to read it. You felt your world stop for that second when you read that you got accepted. Tears filled your eyes and you screamed with excitement.
“I did it! I did it! I did it! My hard work paid off!” you cheered. Nanami kissed you as he wiped your tears away.
“You deserve it, darling. You’re the best musician I know.”
“This is surreal. I got in. I gotta look for places to live. On campus or off campus. Job listings. Things to bring. Things for storage. Kento-kun, there’s so much to do,” you said. You caught the sadness in his eyes that he tried to hide with a smile. “Kento-kun.”
“We have all summer,” he said softly. You nodded, feeling the reality of being halfway across the world from him. “I know you want to call everyone. They’re at the school.”
“Let me get ready.”
The summer was busy, but you remained grateful to your boyfriend who helped you search for apartments nearby the city, find job listings that he knows that you’ll get paid well in and tolerate, and to slowly move your furniture in a storage unit.
“Darling?” Nanami called. You closed off your apartment and moved in with Nanami for the last month before you leave. You looked up at him as you played your guitar. “You have time for me?”
“Of course, Kento-kun,” you answered and set your guitar down, leaning against the bed you two shared. “Is everything okay? Are you hurt? You didn’t get injured today did you?” Nanami gave you a small smile and shook his head.
“Let’s go on a date,” he said. You smiled brightly and hopped out of bed.
“Should I dress cute? Casual?” you asked.
“Cutely casual,” he answered and gave you a kiss on the forehead. You pouted at his answer, but nonetheless did. The night was chilly, so you settled for jeans, a white cropped tank top, and his sweater. Nanami picked out his dark colored jeans along with a white T-shirt. He smiled at you. “I purposely copied you.” You could only giggle.
The two of you walked around the city for a while. He bought you a hair clip that caught your eye and a new wallet (even though you didn’t need one, but Nanami saw how beaten up yours is now).
“Remember how I asked you out?” Nanami asked.
“That night stays fresh in my mind everyday,” you said. “But it’s only because you called me an idiot.” Nanami playfully rolled his eyes. “But you were still very sweet to me. Like you always are. But how about how we met? I hope you remember that.”
“How could I forget? You spilled coffee on my uniform,” Nanami answered. You blushed. You told him that you would forever be embarrassed by that. “But I could never get mad at you. You’re too beautiful to be mad at.”
“Sweet talker,” you mumbled but you smiled. You love how much of a sweet teddy bear he is to you.
“We’ll miss you,” he said.
“I will too.” You squeezed his hand tight. You two never talked about the two of you when you leave. You were both scared.
“If we drift apart, just know that I will be here. Waiting for you,” he said quietly.
“Hey, why would I drift apart from you? Gosh you’re gonna make me cry,” you said as you let your tears fall.
“I’m sorry,” he said. You looked at him and you can see his tears forming but never falling. Nanami reached into his pocket and handed you a small box. “For you.”
The two of you stopped walking and you held the small box in your hand. You slowly opened it. You quietly gasped at two simple gold rings.
“Kento-kun…”
“It’s not an engagement ring but not that kind of promise ring,” he said. “I mean, yes a promise ring but…” He sighed. He took the larger ring and place it on his ring finger. “You don’t have to wear it at all. But it’s my way of saying that I will love you and that I’m going to wait for you. You’re at a top university and I know that communication is going to be hard. Maybe I just got this for myself.” You felt speechless. Your eyes wouldn’t leave the ring. Nanami wasn’t the type to buy jewelry except for the necklace he bought you two years ago.
“Then…” You took the ring out of the box and slipped it on your left ring finger. You smiled. “I guess we’ll see what happens. Right? No hard feelings right?”
“You’ll always be my best friend. But when you return, we’ll need to meet up and talk if we don’t yet. If we don’t officially break up—“
“Stop being pessimistic,” you said. But you knew in reality, there’s a good chance that he might not be in your life anymore. “Okay, we are not breaking up! Kento-kun, I’m going to make this work somehow. And if I’m willing to, then you have to also. We have to stay together, get married, and make a family like we said we would. Promise me that.” Nanami nodded. You stuck your pinky out and Nanami did the same. “Pinky promise.”
“Pinky promise.”
You sat in the plane with your headphones on. You stared out the window, admiring the blue sky and white, fluffy clouds. You can’t help but listen to music that fits so well with your past. All the happiness and sadness that happened. You stared at the golden ring that remained on your finger for the four years you were away.
Everything went well for the first year. But you felt yourself slipping away from the relationship when school became busier and your projects bombarded your life. Both you and Nanami seldom called and text each other. And the ‘I love you’ messages were rare. So you forced yourself to push him aside for your last, intense year.
You sat in the plane, waiting to get off. You looked at your cell phone.
Gojo: I’m just going to force you out of the plane.
You: Don’t you dare.
Gojo: Finally! A response!
You: LOL
You grabbed your duffle bag and patiently waited for your two suitcases and guitar. Your foot tapped impatiently, anxious that your guitar might’ve gotten destroyed on the flight back home. Once you found them, you inspected your guitar that is your baby.
“Perfect,” you whispered.
Even though you had the guitar for a while, it looked brand new. You remember Nanami giving it to you as a birthday present. You remember yelling at him for spending so much money on you. All he did was smile and tell you that he just loves you that much. You wiped the tear that escaped your eye before walking closer to the exit. You stretched your neck out, trying to find Gojo since he agreed to pick you up.
“Darling!”
Tears automatically formed and fell from the sound of his voice. It felt like an eternity since you heard him. Your heart was racing so fast as if it was ready to jump out of your chest. His effect on you is still there. You were wiping your tears away, but they wouldn’t stop flowing. You slowly turned around.
You wanted to bawl your eyes out. Nanami stood there with three flower bouquets, a teddy bear, balloons, and a small black box, similar to the box he handed you four years ago.
He looked different but still the same. He grew taller and his hairstyle changed, now with an undercut, neatly parted, and the front pushed back. He wore a beige suit, a blue button up, and an orange tie with black spots. The tie style of choice was very surprising for you. But the ring on his finger never left. And you were relieved. Nonetheless, Nanami stood there with a big smile on his face. He walked over to you.
“Surprise,” he said softly. He looked at you up and down. You were still the same, but he can see how you changed slightly over the few years of being apart. You were more beautiful in his eyes.“Congratulations. I never doubted you one bit. You’re crying.”
“I-I-I…I just…” Nanami softly smiled. “I didn’t think you would bring balloons. And what’s with the tie?” Nanami lightly laughed and brought you in for a hug. “I thought…I thought…”
“Silly, when I keep a promise for you, I keep it,” he said. “I even pinky promised you, sweetheart. Those are sacred. You said so yourself.” You let a laugh with your tears.
“I did.” You brought your left hand up, showing him your ring. “I don’t take it off. I even tell my college friends that I’m married. I even use this ring when guys flirt with me.”
“Married? You’re thinking far ahead with our future.” You blushed.
“I-I-I mean…I do still love you and…look I’m sorry I don’t message you back. And I’m sorry that I barely called and—“ Nanami stopped you with his lips pressing up against yours. You melted in the kiss. You dropped everything and wrapped your arms around his neck. If it wasn’t for the presents Nanami held, he would’ve picked you up and held you tightly.
“You still tried, darling.”
“But you message me more.”
“And I patiently waited for you.” Your eyes moved to the small, black box.
“What’s that?” you asked curiously. Nanami chuckled. He handed you the flowers, balloons which were tied to the stems, and teddy bear. He opened the small box and revealed a gold and purple ring with a purple diamond.
“It’s corny,” he said. “But I figured I keep another promise to marry you later on in the future.”
“Kento-kun, it’s beautiful,” you said. Nanami smiled. He pulled the ring out and slipped it on your left ring finger, sitting on top of the first ring he gave.
“I found the ring two years after you left,” he said. “I love you, darling. My feelings never changed while we were apart from each other.”
“I love you, too. I couldn’t stop thinking about you.”
“Me too. Come on, everyone’s waiting for you.”
“Wait, where am I staying?”
“Silly, we’re going to live together.” You smiled widely. “Gojo-san and I got your stuff from storage and it’s arranged at our home.” Hearing that statement made your heart flutter. Nanami placed the guitar behind his back, placed the duffel bag on top of one of the suitcases and dragged them both so you wouldn’t have to. You held on to the presents he gave and walked side by side with him.
“Wait a minute. There was no way you’d know when I was coming back.”
“Gojo-san told me.” You laughed. “I wanted to surprise you.” You linked arms with him and rested your head on his arm.
“Are you free all day and night, Kento-kun?”
“I am. I was hoping that we’d be together all day and night, catching up on the years we missed together.”
“I love that.”

Loosen Up
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song Inspiration: swings by carwash)
Nanami Kento. A stoic and aloof looking man. A man that follows rules and guidelines. A man who takes things a little too seriously. But only a small handful of people know that he’s a caring man.
And you of all people know that he is selfless.
“Kento-kun! Come on. Just let loose today,” you said as you followed him around the school. Nanami sighed. He doesn’t find you annoying though, unlike Gojo. Because if Gojo was hovering him right now, he would get annoyed. But you? He basically let you do whatever you want to him.
“Should you be training?” he asked.
“I over did it yesterday,” you said. “Shoko said to rest.”
“It’s still work hours,” he stated.
“And?” You raised an eyebrow at him. “Kento! Let’s have some fun! Come on! You can’t be a grouchy old man forever.” His body stiffened and he made a face that made you giggle.
“I’m only 28, you know?”
“I know,” you said. You quickened your pace and held his hands. “Do you like to dance?” Nanami gave in, letting you swing his arms around.
“You’re being childish,” he said.
“You said being a child isn’t a sin,” you said as you stuck your tongue out. Nanami smiled softly. “My boyfriend is such an old man.” Nanami pulled you to his chest and slow danced with you. You smiled and followed his lead.
“Sometimes you act like a child,” he said softly. “But that’s what I love about you.”
“I still love you even when you can be a grumpy old man.”
“So, what was it about you overtraining?” You gave him a sheepish smile and hid your face in his chest.
“I might’ve, maybe, passed out,” you confessed. “And begged Shoko to not tell you herself.”
“Sweetheart…”
“I hate worrying you,” you said with pouty lips.
“But I asked if you could make dinner when I could’ve just picked up food,” he said worriedly.
“I promise I’m okay.” You leaned in and gave him a short, sweet kiss.
“Okay, let’s have some fun,” he said with a smile. “Let’s go get lunch and go shopping. I’m only doing this for you.”
“Yes, old man,” you said with a giggle.

Straight Into Your Arms
Nanami Kento x Reader
(Song Inspiration: Straight into Your Arms by Vance Joy)
Nanami Kento is a composed man. He is analytical and rational. He remains calm, making him appear stoic and aloof. So, it is always entertaining to watch him become the opposite of who he usually is.
“How long this time?” Shoko asked Gojo.
“Almost two weeks I think,” Gojo answered.
“Eh?! That’s so long! When did she leave?” Gojo chuckled while watching Nanami pace back and forth in the library.
“I think at like 2am? Oi! Nanamin! What time did she leave to America?”
“1am. Her flight left at 3. I think she’s almost there,” Nanami answered. He looked outside the window. The door opened. Geto and Haibara entered the room.
“Business trip again?” Geto asked as he took a seat next to Gojo.
“Yeah,” Gojo and Shoko answered. Haibara took his seat next to Shoko and wrapped his arm around her shoulders.
“Is she coming back soon?” Haibara asked.
“She’s just about to arrive to America,” Shoko answered.
“And how long is she gone for?” Geto asked.
“Two weeks.”
The four of them continued to watch Nanami pace. To them, it was just like watching an interesting reel over and over again. Gojo checked the time on the wall. It was only a matter of time that Nanami’s cell phone will ring.
Nanami was too focused on you. He hoped that you arrived safely to your destination. He hoped that you will be okay without him. He couldn’t imagine if something dangerous happened to you while you were gone. It’s been almost a day and he can feel himself go crazy. He could care less that his friends were watching him. His pacing stopped. He reached for his ringing cell phone.
“Darling?” he answered, trying to remain as calm as possible. You giggled on the other line. You could hear the slight shakiness to his voice. You were used to it. It was how he would answer your first phone call whenever you arrived to where your business trips were.
“Kento-kun! I’m finally here,” you said. “I’m just waiting for my luggage.” He sighed with relief.
“Okay, I’m glad you got there safely,” he said. “Are you tired? Will you be okay today?” You lightly laughed.
“Kento-kun, will you be okay?” you asked. You were a little worried. He is always protective of you.
“No,” he said, a slight poutines evident in his voice. You blushed. You always found him cute like that. Those around Nanami either awed (Haibara and Shoko) or snickered (Gojo and Geto). Nanami turned to them with a glare, but the four were unfazed.
“I’m going to power through today,” you said. “I’ll buy a bunch of caffeine today.”
“I’ll send you money soon,” he said.
“Kento-kun…” You always told him that you’ll be okay. He even gave you cash for the trip.
“I’ll still do it even if you say no,” he said. “Besides, it’s the only way I could take care of you since you’re the opposite side of the world.” You couldn’t help but smile at his sweet gesture.
“Thank you, love,” you said. “I’ll call you back okay? I think I see my suitcase and then I have to catch a ride to the hotel.”
“Okay, my dear. I love you. Be safe.”
“I love you too, Kento-kun!”
Nanami hung up and finally relaxed. He looked over at his friends who stared at him with wide and curious eyes. It was like that every time you left for a business trip. He becomes out of character and his friends couldn’t help but watch.
“She landed safely,” he informed and sat down to read his paper.
He was pacing again. Nanami wouldn’t let go of his phone. The weather by you was bad with continuous rain and wind due to a tropical storm that was approaching. You called him right before your flight was about to leave. And he was distracted all night and day.
“She’s going to be okay,” Haibara said when he placed a hand on his friend’s shoulder. Nanami nodded, slowing his pace. “She got to leave a little earlier right?”
“Yeah, but…”
“They could’ve delayed the flight if it was bad,” he said. “She’ll be okay.” Nanami sighed and nodded.
“Wanna go out? I want to buy her some things before I pick her up,” Nanami asked. Haibara smiled.
“Of course!”
Nanami waited patiently inside the airport. He watched people rush to their destination, hug friends and family, and look up and down at their ticket and to where their gate was located. Nanami held a bouquet of flowers in hand and inside the car was your favorite takeout meal and he couldn’t help but buy you a new necklace.
“Kento-kun!!” Nanami looked around for you. He knew he heard your voice. “Over here!” He heard you squeal when he picked you up from the ground and spun you around in his arms. You laughed and hugged him tightly. Almost two weeks without him felt like torture. Torture for the both of you.
“I missed you so much,” he said softly in your ear. Both of your arms tightened around each other.
“I missed you so much too,” you said. He gently put you back on the floor before he cupped your face and kissed you. The kiss was long and passionate. You didn’t want to pull away from his lips and neither did he. But you two had to eventually pull away to breathe.
“Let’s go home. I bought your favorite take out food, we need to put your flowers in a vase, and I bought you a necklace.” You giggled and leaned in to give him a quick kiss.
“Thank you, Kento. Being back with you is the best gift ever.”
“I think I’ll come with you next time,” he said when he took your suitcase. You held the bouquet of flowers in one hand and the two of you held hands out of the airport.

There’s Only So Many Chances
Nanami Kento x Reader
Ryomen Sukuna x Reader
(I Miss You, I’m Sorry by Gracie Abrams)
Tears blurred my vision as I stared at my ceiling. I listened to the soft breathing next to me. My first love. The love of my life. The man that I don’t even know is mine or not. Again.
I hate that I let him get to me again. I hate how easy he makes it. It’s so easy for him to gain my attention. It’s so easy for him to get a rile out of me. It’s so easy for me to fall in his trap every single time.
I covered my mouth to muffle the sobs that were dying to escape. The soft, even breaths sped up and I felt my bed shift. I suddenly felt his warm embrace.
“Don’t cry, baby.”
“Sukuna…”
“Shh. It’s okay,” he said softly and peppered small kisses on my shoulders and neck. Fuck. It feels good. Feels so assuring. Feels right. “We’re right for each other. We belong together.” And I nodded.
He left early for work. He invited me to Toji’s club but I declined. I need a break. I need space. I’m so tired of spiraling back to him and feeling myself lose a part of myself. All I feel is pain. Why can’t I just go about it the hard way? But I ask myself that every time. And I know why. Ryomen Sukuna is the love of my life.
I think.
Because Satoru and Suguru drags me to the club. I see Sukuna making out with a random girl. Almost random. It’s his coworker. Both Satoru and Suguru paused with me. The scene of the club dissipates. All I see is Sukuna and that girl. The same girl he cheated on me with.
I remember clear as day. The heartbreak still feels so new. The way I wanted to surprise Sukuna at this very club with the chain necklace he’s been eyeing on for his birthday. I was supposed to work, but I begged my supervisor to cancel my shift. Whether Sukuna was drunk or not, it didn’t matter. He’s with the woman I worried about. And he’s still with her. Again.
His eyes were wide in shock when he saw me after pulling away from her. He pushed her off his lap and stood up. I shook my head, my eyes so teary and my face wet. I feel like dying. I want to scream and kill him. Every step he was taking towards me, I took a step back. That was until I felt someone pull me outside. Sukuna was blocked from Suguru and Satoru. And I was finally away.
Wait. Who the hell…?
“Kento?” He looked at me with a small smile.
“Figured you need help escaping,” he said.
“When did you get back?”
“This morning.”
Nanami Kento. He’s such a heartthrob. He’s probably the only man that I know who would read all of the love notes that female students give him and smile but also politely decline them. He’s so polite and chivalrous. He’s so kind, putting other’s needs before his own. Satoru and I had to yell at him one day because some girl he faked dated won’t stop manipulating him. Because of that, he went away for college, out of the country. He’s the only one that left while everyone else stayed. He’ll return during holiday breaks and he just received his masters in business, already learning the ropes of the family business. He stayed in America to learn more before agreeing to move back to Japan. Which is, I guess, now.
“And you never told me?”
“Surprise.”
I don’t know what came over me. It’s like all of my emotions decided to take a dump on me that I cried and laughed. It surprised Kento when he gave me such an alarming look. He asked me if I was okay. Of course, I don’t know. I never know anymore.
He held my hand though. We continued to walk. To where? Anywhere he would take me. I always trusted him. He gave me no reason to not trust him. He brought me to a diner. His hand rested on my lower back and had me sit on the booth first before he took his seat in front of me. Gentleman as always. Never stop, Nanami Kento.
We ordered our drinks and he ordered a few appetizers for us to munch on. Perfect man.
“Gojo told me what happened two years ago,” he bluntly said.
I lowered my gaze to the glass of water. Kento’s two years older than me. Once he left, I met Ryomen Sukuna. We became an official couple during our senior year in high school. Stayed through and through in college. He was my biggest support, my anchor whenever I was stress and had panic attacks before exams and finals. He took over for his father’s company while I did my nursing job. A year after we graduated, he was more distant. And I knew why. Just seeing it happen confirmed and broke me.
But he always said the right things. His actions seem to always match with his words. But when we argue, I’ll see his arm wrapped around a woman’s shoulders. Most of the time, it was that woman. I would slap him. We argue again. Then we have sex. Everything would be back to normal until the cycle repeats itself. A year passed. A long, exhausting and excruciating year. And I’m done. I’m so done.
“I’m so stupid,” I said and wiped the tears I didn’t realize fell.
“You love him,” he said. Point blank. Straight to the point. “You don’t know how to live without him.” Why do you look so sad, Kento? I have never seen that look on him.
“I want to though,” I said. “I don’t want to live this kind of life anymore.”
“Then do it. You do it to yourself for always going back. You want to get back at him, don’t go back to him.”
And he’s right. I’m pretty sure everyone told me that already. Even Toji, Sukuna’s best friend. But when Kento tells me, it just sounds more right to do so.
But it’s so hard. I’m staring at the eyes of the man I love. We’re arguing again from that night when Kento dragged me out of the club. I haven’t spoken to him for a week. He’s at my apartment right now. Angry. Upset. Heartbroken.
I can feel the heat between us. I can feel the love but also the eternal anger and regret. It only took him to caressing my face to comfort me to easily give in. We kissed. Fucked our anger out. And cuddled in bed. It felt right but also, for the first time, this just felt so wrong.
“I have a proposition.” Sukuna left for work. I’m alone, feeling dirty and hurt. I called Kento. He picked up on the first ring. “Be my fake boyfriend. I-I can’t do this alone and…”
“I’ll pick you up for lunch in a couple of hours,” he said softly to me. It’s like I can see him smile softly. Is he?
“No—wait. It’s—god, I can’t do that to you.” I bit my lower lip. I brushed my hair back and paced around my apartment. No. I can’t do that to him. Using Kento as my backup even if it’s just pretend. Emi used him. I can’t be like her.
“Y/N, it’s okay,” he said. It was so reassuring. “I’ll do this for you. Just say the word and I’ll be there.”
“If you’re stuck in a meeting?”
“The meeting will be over.”
I sobbed.
Satoru and Suguru brought me back to Toji’s club. Toji hugged me and ruffled the top of my head, offering me to beat up the man I love. But I shook my head. I told him that I’m okay. And that I’ll be okay.
“Alright, Princess,” he said and started walking around his club. I texted Kento where I was going to be tonight while he had a late night meeting with his team. He had a project to finish. The deadline is in two days. He offered his presence but I told him not to ditch his team. Besides, I have my two best friends with me. I’ll be okay.
But when I got to the bar, I see Sukuna. He was flirting with her. What does she have that I don’t have? What can she offer him that I can’t? What’s wrong with me? I tried to quickly walk away, but I felt his hand around my wrist.
“I didn’t know you’d be here,” he said. His voice still making my heart skip a beat.
“Sugu and Toru wanted to hang out,” I answered as nonchalantly as I can. I’m not giving in. Don’t give in. But he took a step closer and curled a strand of my hair behind my ear.
“Baby, I missed you. It’s been a week. What does you say? Just like old times?” My body froze. Both my heart and brain were battling with each other. I just stared at his red eyes. Intimidating eyes that always looked at me so softly. I am an idiot. I’m an idiot because I’m about to say yes.
“Sweetheart.” I was suddenly pulled away from Sukuna. A new sense of comfort enveloped around me. This fresh scent that doesn’t reek of cigarettes and cologne instead is something earthy and herbal, like tea. “I’m sorry I’m late.” I looked up to see Kento smiling softly at me. I smiled back.
“It’s okay, Ken,” I said.
“Ryomen-san,” Kento greeted flatly. Sukuna’s eyes were cold and icy. But when I looked at Kento, I gasped to see the same thing. I never saw him like this.
“Nanami.” Sukuna looked at me. “Think about it.” And then, he just left. Walking towards the back of the club, probably going back to her.
I finally felt that rush of air back in my lungs. Oh my gosh. I didn’t go after him. I stayed by Kento’s side. Kento wouldn’t stop me. I just know he won’t.
“Fresh air, sweetheart?” Kento asked. I only nodded and let him lead the way. I leaned against the brick wall of the building. Kento stood in front of me, his hands shoved in his pants pocket. I looked at him from head to toe. He’s still in his work clothes.
“Did you come straight from work?” I asked stupidly. Of course he did. Kento wouldn’t come here in his work clothes. I think.
“Once you said that you were going and that you arrived, I left a bit early. My team’s okay with it. I’ll just do my part at home or return back.”
“Kento, don’t do that. Your work is important.” You shook your head and looked at me with so much sincerity.
“No, Y/N. You’re more important than my work.”
“Ken…” His arm was wrapped around my shoulder and he pulled me in close.
“Do you want to go back in?”
“Yeah.”
“You’ll be okay?”
“No,” I said and I looked at him with a small smile. “But with you, yes.”
There were times where I would purposely bring Kento with me at specific restaurants and at Toji’s club so Sukuna can see. At first, seeing him pissed and seeing him flirt with more women hurt. When he’s hurt, I’m hurt. We both hurt each other. He’s with other women and I stay with Kento.
Kento helped me a lot. I asked him to help me not to respond back to any of Sukuna’s messages. He would take my phone and turn it off. He keeps my phone in his pocket and distract me with fun activities like shopping, cooking, and reading. He’s been doing so much for me, I surprised him with a new suit. To be honest, I did work overtime hours just for him. Just to show how thankful I am for him to help me.
“You didn’t have to buy me this,” he said when I showed up at his apartment. He was going to make us dinner. I gave him his new suit, tie, shoes, socks, and cufflinks. The whole shebang.
“You’re doing so much for me, Kento,” I told him. I walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek. “So, so much.” He chuckled and kissed the top of my head. I don’t know when that became such a norm for us, but it is.
“Just seeing you happy is enough for me,” he said. I’ll admit, Nanami Kento is good with his words. The difference between him and Sukuna is that Kento means every word. The way Kento looks at me and smiles at me. It’s nothing compared to Sukuna. “I hope you’re starving.”
After dinner, we sat in the living room. Kento was relaxed, his feet resting on the ottoman as he read his book. Meanwhile, my head rested on his lap while I read mine. His hand was on the top of my head, gently combing my hair and caressing it. It’s so soothing. The things he does for me. It feels so real. And…
I’m scared.
“What’s wrong, Y/N?” Kento seemed worried, genuinely worried when I immediately sat up. My mind is suddenly swirling around endlessly. It’s not about Sukuna though. It’s Kento.
“Why me? Why put yourself in this position again, Kento? Emi hurt you and you left,” I said. I will admit that I was hurt when he left. Toru and Sugu may be my two best friends but Kento was always by my side in a heartbeat. And he would at least take my problems, complaints, and venting seriously.
“Because I care about you, Y/N,” he answered so easily, so natural of him to say. “I always cared about you. I think, after Emi hurt me for taking parts of me away, I needed to leave Japan. I needed to get myself together.” I placed my book down on the table and brought my feet up on the couch. I hugged my knees tight to my chest. And Kento? He sat on the couch, legs crossed as he faced me.
“You had me,” I said. I can see sorrow and regret swimming in his eyes. “Would I have been a nuisance?” He immediately shook his head. Phew. That’s one thing to be relieved about.
“Emi attended the one University I wanted to go to in Japan. I had to get away. I blocked her from my life. When I officially returned to Japan, word from the street she’s in a psych hospital. It’s scary because she ended up being obsessed with me.” We both shuddered. She wouldn’t leave him alone. She constantly gaslighted him. Kento! The sweetest and kindest man around. “Y/N, Sukuna stripped so much away from you. I would do anything to bring you back on your feet. Even if it means that you get to use me for your own benefit.”
“But why?” I felt tears in my eyes. I’m just feeling so much emotions again. Kento was quiet. He’s in deep thought. He’s carefully planning out on what to say. I’ve been spending so much time with him, I catch the subtle action he does. Like right now.
“I always liked you, Y/N.” Slowly, very slowly, those words sunk in. My eyes were wide, my mouth slightly open. “When I learned that you had a boyfriend, of course I would support you. You being happy is all I ever want for you.”
“Ken…”
“I couldn’t confess to you when I was mentally a mess,” he said. “But I was too late. And when I heard about the things that Sukuna did and would do to you, I never wanted to kill someone so badly before in my life.” I let my tears fall. Kento reached out to me and cupped my face, wiping the tears away. “It always pained me to see you cry.”
“Is that why you immediately agreed to help me?”
“I agreed to help you because you wanted to try out this plan, not because of my feelings for you. But to be honest, it is a bonus.” I let out a chuckle but it didn’t last long. I stood up and walked over to my things.
“I-I need to go.”
“Wait, Y/N—“
“Please, Ken. I need time.”
And he nodded. He let me go. He watched me leave. But he always and somehow came back. When I’m at work, security delivers my lunch at 11pm at night. He’ll tell me it’s Kento. Everyone loves it when Kento visits me during my shifts. He even makes the patients and married nurses jealous. It makes me giggle every time. Sukuna never did that once. And Kento would text me and leave me voicemails. Always praising me, complimenting me, and to make sure I have a great day or great shift.
It’s been two weeks.
I stood in front of Toji’s club. I don’t know for how long, but my feet were just glued to the concrete. I gripped the handles of my purse and bit my lower lip. All I did was separate myself from everything. Thought about Kento since we became friends. Thought about Sukuna. Thought about Kento when he came back and helped me.
I know he’s here. He’s somewhere. I walked to the bathroom to fix my hair. I hear soft moans and a male shushing that voice softly. I know that voice all too well. I stared at the closed stall as I kept the water running. I let my tears fall one more time. He’ll never change. I pulled my phone out.
“Y/N! Are you okay?” I smiled. I realized that he’s such a worrywart towards me.
“I’m okay,” I said. “I’m sorry I haven’t—-“
“Don’t be,” he told me with so much relief that he knows that I’m still alive. “But, are you okay?” My eyes returned back to the stall. I feel the pain in my heart but now that I think about it, it feels wasn’t as bad as it would be before.
“I’m okay, Ken,” I answered truthfully. “I want to spend time with you. We can meet at the bookstore by Lovey’s Cafe, buy a new book, you can cook me dinner, and after we get comfortable on the couch and read.”
“Sounds like a plan.” I smiled. “I’ll cook your favorite. I can leave work in an hour.”
“An hour? Okay!”
I left and continued to converse with Kento. But I did hear the stall door open. I heard him cursing and I quickened my pace out of the club. It felt good though. I can give him this effect and the effect he had on me, it doesn’t hit deep anymore.
I was running a bit late. I sped walk to the bookstore. Huh? Are you held up at work? If Kento couldn’t pick me up, he always waited for me outside. Didn’t matter if the weather was bad, he always made his presence known.
I’ll just call him and—
I heard a faint sound. I heard multiple voices, two familiar voices.
“You’re manipulating her to go against me!” I walked in the alleyway slowly and quietly.
“She’s capable of making decisions of her own.” Kento! Oh my god! He’s hurt. “You hurt her. It’s all you do because you’re so used to having her around, you can’t stand the idea of her letting you go.” I winced. Stop. Make it stop.
“Fuck you and your stupid mind games! Leave my girl alone!”
I don’t trust Sukuna. Not at all. But there is one thing that I trust that he won’t do. Sukuna was ready to punch Kento. I jumped in the middle, my back facing Sukuna, and my arms wrapped around Kento to protect him. I felt his fist so close to my face. But I know, deep down I know, that Sukuna would never hurt me physically. He hurt others for me but never me.
“Baby…” But I ignored him. I ignored the man I once loved so deeply, that I was willing to get hurt just to have another moment with him. Instead, I cupped Kento’s face. His right cheek is bruised, along with his eye. And his lower lip has a cut.
“Y/N,” Kento said so softly. How does he do it? How does his voice envelope so much warmth and assurance to me?
“Let’s go, Ken. Let’s go home.” I didn’t miss the way Sukuna’s eyes widened. I didn’t miss how broken he look when I walked side by side with Kento. I didn’t look back once.
Kento sat on the bar still of his island. I stood in between his legs while I cleaned his wound and applied some medicine. He would wince ever so slightly. In response, I would giggle and he smiles. His hands eventually made its way to my hips. He held me gently when I finally held an ice pack to his face.
“You’re okay now?” I asked. Kento nodded.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
“How are you feeling?” I put everything on the table. I pulled the chair behind me closer. Kento let me go so I can sit next to him. I lifted my feet so I can hug my knees close to my chest.
“I haven’t contacted anyone for two weeks. Not even Toru and Sugu and they’ve been blowing up my phone. So they visited, but I kept to myself. Just thinking, reflecting, and realizing.”
“Seems very productive,” he said. I nodded. Kento chuckled and pushed his hair back. Strands of his hair was now covering his forehead. I missed that look sometimes. His high school look, until his senior year because that was when he decided to do his hairstyle that is now. “You look brighter. You seem different but a good different.” That made me smile.
“Not dreary nor sad?”
“More like content and happy.”
“Productive two weeks, Kento. But, I am sorry for ignoring you.” You opened your mouth to say something, but I quickly continued. “It’s just that, I felt so much the last time I saw you. I don’t know where the hell the overwhelming emotions came from. But it was too much. I-I just knew that I needed to be alone. And it made me understand why you did it. I might’ve needed it too.
“And I know two weeks isn’t compared to your 6 years? You’ve been gone too long, Kento. But…well, here’s the thing. You and me? I don’t think I had feelings for you when we were younger. But I knew you were so important to me. You didn’t feel like a friend like Toru and Sugu, but you weren’t a boyfriend or whatever. I don’t know, you were important and to be honest, it broke me too when you left. You comforted me at your goodbye party. I was not having a good time. I cried the whole way home with your mom from the airport.”
“She never mentioned that.”
“I begged her not to.” We chuckled again. “Even when you were with Emi, you made time for me. You dealt with her berating and manipulation while focusing on me when I needed you. I’m so selfish, weren’t I?” I looked at you the moment I felt your hand caress my cheek.
“I like it,” he said to me. “Your selfishness means more time with you.”
“Sukuna was the new kid. We sat together in class and…” Those memories made me tear up. I let my tears go. Memories. The good and happy memories that everyone wants to relive. “He was always there until he wasn’t. After we graduated and I had to study for my license. I was so busy studying, I didn’t notice the sparse time I would see him until I finished. And when I caught him, I felt like I died.” Kento scooted his chair closer to me. “And I let him hurt me because I kept wanting to relive the moments when were happy and in love.”
“And now?”
“I don’t want to anymore. It felt easy ignoring him. When I called you, I knew he was messing around in the cubicle.” I looked at you, looked at the injuries to your face. “I wanted to piss him off and I’m sorry. I didn’t think he would actually hurt you.”
“Don’t worry about, Y/N.” I smiled.
“I had to piss him off one last time. It felt good.”
“Good.” We were silent. I fiddled with my fingers, spun the rings on my fingers nervously. I watched his hand hover over mine before he held them. I looked at him and I see the sadness in your eyes. “So, I guess the fake boyfriend plan has come to an end, huh?”
“Yes and no. Two weeks may not be enough but I also don’t want to make you feel like a rebound. But I also learned the things I deserve in a relationship and it’s all because of you. I mean, like I said, you were important to me and I love spending with you. I was fine alone for those two weeks.” Oh my gosh, I’m rambling.
“Y/N.” I closed my lips shut and looked at him. “Whenever you’re ready.”
Nanami Kento. You perfect, perfect man.
“Make me dinner?”
“Yes, sweetheart.”
“And we’ll read?”
“Yes, sweetheart.”
“And you’ll bring me home?” Kento laughed. He cupped my face and his lips rested on my forehead.
“Anything you want, my dear.”
The first year, to me, was hard. But Kento stuck with me through and through. There were times when I blew his phone up because he never texted or call me back at the time he usually arrived home. When that happens, he calls and tells me to look at my front door. There is always a bouquet of flowers and a note saying that he’s sorry for being held up at work. Kento would change the phone call to a video call just to show that he was home. I cried every time.
Of course he had women as employees. I stayed in control, almost. I mean, I would give them cold looks and some glares, but Kento always, and I mean always, stayed by my side. Always.
I promise that I stopped being paranoid. Kento being Kento remains blunt, telling me that I am crazy. I don’t know how he does it. Maybe he gives it time until he has a feeling that I know myself. I try not to cling on to him 24/7. Kento has his own life and he wants me to have my own. This man never yelled at me nor show impatience. It was different and nice.
I don’t know when we became an official couple. I don’t even think we directly stated it. We just were. And I’m happy. So damn happy. Three years later and I’m so in love with Nanami Kento.
Toru is having his birthday party at Toji’s club. We always go to Toji’s because of the discount. I go because I’m Toji’s little princess and I can get anything for free. I tip though. His workers deserve something at least. I arrived first. Kento is at work. Toru is getting Sugu. Haibara just left his shift. Shoko will arrive a few hours later because of work. Me? I don’t know. I felt like I had to go.
I ordered a draft beer and some onion rings. I chatted happily to Ino, the regular bartender I always see. He’s my favorite. He’s so sweet and is easy to talk to. Our conversation didn’t last too long though. He smiled brightly at me, promising to return. I took a sip of my beer and I start going back to memory lane again.
“Whiskey, neat.” My heart drop. I turned around to find Sukuna. He was already looking at me. He looks worn out. Still heartbroken and now, there’s so much regret shown on his face and eyes. “Y/N.”
“Sukuna.” I gave him a curt nod, my lips tight together. I watched his eyes roam my body and face. But they stopped at my hand.
“Congratulations,” he said weakly. I looked at my hand. The large diamond ring that Kento proposed to me with a week ago.
In high school, Kento and I had a secret hiding spot, our spot. At the park where I would accompany him at to look at the sky. Clouds, clear blue skies, stars, you name it. He proposed to me there. I was blindfolded and when took the blindfold off, I see flowers and candles surrounding the area. I was too focused looking at my surroundings that I didn’t notice Kento go down on one knee. I cried happily. He kissed me passionately.
“Thank you,” I said with a small smile.
“Can you hear me out? Even for five minutes?” I never thought of scenarios if I ever encounter Sukuna alone. I’ve seen him around the club but we never approached each other. Maybe back then, I would say no, but…”
“Sure.”
“What I did was wrong,” he said. “I hurt you over and over again both mentally and emotionally. You were the first person I fell in love with. We basically had our life together the whole time since we met. And when I did what I did, I thought, ‘If I was single, I’d be able to do this all the time. Maybe just once, I can pretend and then go back to my normal life.’ And the whole shit show I did spiraled out of control. I should’ve just broken up with you. I should’ve just left you alone and not drag you back to the heartbreaking cycle.” I felt tears build up in my eyes. But I held them in and swallowed the large lump in my throat. “I deserve everything I have now. A broken heart and losing the woman that ever cared about me and loved me so deeply she was willing to be hurt for me.”
“Yeah, you did.”
“You deserve what you have now,” he told me. “I don’t deserve you, never did.” He was crying. He quickly wiped the tears. “Look, I think we’re stuck seeing each other since we’re friends with Toji. Maybe we’ll just say hi to each other. That’s it.”
“Yeah, we can do that.” Sukuna nodded.
“Cool. That’s…yeah. Cool.”
“Sukuna, move on. You can redeem yourself, too.”
“I don’t know.”
“I learned things because of you and Kento. I thought that you were the only love of my life. But, that’s not the case. In some ways, I still love you but not the way I did before. You’re still someone who I find important. Kento showed me a new kind of love. A love that I never thought existed. So maybe, just maybe, you’ll find your Kento.” We both laughed.
“Well, my Kento better be a kick ass chick.” I laughed again.
“She will.”
“Well, I better go before your fiancé comes. He might get his revenge and kick my ass.” We laughed again. “Goodbye, Y/N.”
“Goodbye, Sukuna.”
I watched him walk away. He sat alone in the corner, drinking and watching. He raised his glass at me and I did the same. I turned away, recollecting my thoughts. I’m okay. I smiled. I’m okay.
“Sweetheart, did you wait long?” My heart skipped a beat. I looked up behind me to see Kento. He smiled and kissed my lips softly before kissing my forehead.
“Not at all.”
“How was your day?” He took his seat next to me, where Sukuna vacated. “I hope it was good.” I smiled widely and kissed his lips.
“It was wonderful. Much better now that my fiancé was here.”
“You’re being cheesy. Care to share?” I do get cheesy when my thoughts start to get too much.
“I got my closure.” And just like that, Kento smiled.
“Does it help?”
“It does. It surprisingly helped a lot.”
“Is he okay?” Typical Kento. Making sure another person is okay. I feel like a significant other wouldn’t be happy that I spoke to my ex. But not my Kento. I held his hand and squeezed it tightly.
“He’ll be okay. Kento?”
“Yes, my love?”
“I love you so much. Thank you for not giving up on me.”
“Thank you for giving me a chance.” Kento caressed my held hand with his thumb, his eyes resting on the ring he gave me. “I can’t wait to marry you.”
“Me too, Kento.”

I know I haven’t posted anything from A Love Story and Promises I Intend To Keep. I also have a few drabbles saved up for the post story of Little Flower. I’m trying to make a prequel for Little Flower as well! It’s halfway done, but before I get more into it, I just want to edit it.
I’ll get back to them! But definitely will still be on a break. Work and personal life is busy since I don’t get to create my own schedule for work yet and I have other classes/training in between work. Work becomes busy, and I’m still getting a hang of it. It’s been about 2 months. Let me tell you, being a nurse is so much😭 I get home, lay on the couch, shower, and then sleep. My feet ache😅 I rarely sit down. My schedule and boyfriend’s don’t match up, so we’re trying to spend time together when we get our days off.
Love you guys for sticking around! I haven’t reblogging often, so here’s my list of stories and they are finally updated!
I will be back!😁
By the way! Anyone read books from BookTok? In my personal account that I have linked in the reblog, I’m starting to put in my input on the books I’m currently reading. Anyone got other recommendations?

Our Love Story: Protecting You
Nanami Kento x Reader
Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9
(Song Inspiration: More Than Words by Hitsujibungaku)
You arrived back home with exhaustion hitting you the moment you entered inside. Nanami looked up from his book. He marked it shut before he walked up to you and hugged you tightly.
“How much longer until you go back to nights?” he asked.
“I don’t know,” you answered sadly. “I don’t like the mornings. I even have to wake up and leave earlier than you.” Nanami softly smiled and kissed your forehead. You gasped when Nanami carried you and brought you to the living room. He had your feet rest on his lap. Before you knew it, he massaged your foot. “Best boyfriend in the whole wide world.”
The sound of your phone ringing caught both of your attention. You didn’t recognize the number that appeared on your screen. You answered it, leaving the phone on speaker.
“Hello?” you answered as you looked at Nanami. A familiar voice called your name making you nearly drop your phone.
“You there baby?” Nanami watched you carefully. The way your body froze the moment the person spoke, the way you caught your breath, and the way your eyes widened in fear. “It’s you right? Baby? I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry for what I’ve done to you. Please come back.” You tried to speak, but you couldn’t find your voice. Nanami slowly reached for your phone.
“Hello? May I ask why you’re calling my girlfriend?” Nanami asked politely.
“No, she’s my girlfriend. Who the hell do you think you are? Hey! What are you doing hanging around with some random guy?!”
“I’m going to hang up now. Don’t call her phone ever again. Don’t even bother contacting her,” Nanami said calmly and hung up the phone, cutting off the other end.
“T-Thank you,” you mumbled.
“This is the first time he called you right?” Nanami asked. You nodded.
“You’re not mad right?”
“I am mad, but I’m mad at him. There’s no reason for me to be mad at you, love.” You softly smiled. Nanami finished massaging your feet and you moved closer to him and sat on his lap. “You’re going to tell me if he keeps bothering you right?”
“I will not handle it on my own,” you assured him.
“Show me a picture of the guy,” he said. “Gojo-san and Geto-san can help me keep an eye on him.”
“They’re going to use some cursed technique on him,” you said.
“I will too if he does something to you. He hurt you. No one messes with my lady.”
Gojo: that man WILL be the mission!!!
Geto: Chill. We’re just watching over our little sister-in-law.
Gojo: nope! If he’s gonna creep around, I will annihilate him.
Nanami: Quit it.
Nanami: That’s my job.
You couldn’t help but feel followed everywhere you go. You kept your word, constantly telling Nanami about anything strange within your days.
Nanami opted to stay in the city rather than stay at the school. If he wasn’t around, Gojo and Geto would keep an eye on you if they can. You preferred to stay in crowded areas or stay at home.
“Kento-kun, I don’t have a good feeling about today,” you said. You were at the mall, hoping that you could distract yourself.
“Keep letting me know your location if you go somewhere new okay? I have to go on a mission. It shouldn’t be long though,” he said. “If you can, call Gojo-san or Geto-san.”
“Be careful okay?” you said worriedly. “Come back home to me.” You heard Nanami chuckle.
“I promise, my love.”
“I’ll go to the grocery store! I’ll make us dinner. Do you have anything specific you would like?”
“Chicken Alfredo sounds good,” he said. “With garlic bread.”
“Can I make it cheesy?”
“Of course, my love. I gotta go. I love you, sweetheart.”
“I love you, too.”
You quickly looked up a recipe on your phone as you waited and rode a bus to a store nearby your apartment. You checked the time and smiled, knowing you had some time and hoped for Nanami to return back safely.
On your way home, you spoke to Hana. You laughed as she spoke about Yumi’s drunk night. Since they started to work before you, you haven’t had the time to spend time with them. So you happily agreed to go out with them soon, especially since Keiko was going to travel in two months for work.
“Yeah I’ll see if Satoru-san, Suguru-san, and Shoko-san can go too,” you said. “Maybe we can also go out for lunch while Keiko is still here.”
“Let’s go out for mimosas! I know an all-you-can-drink place!”
“Wait! The one a few blocks away?”
“Yeah!”
“That sounds—“ The gut feeling suddenly hit you and Hana called your name worriedly. You quickly texted her.
You: Someone’s following me.
“Run,” Hana said and you quickened your pace to your apartment door. You quickly opened the door. You thought you were safe, but you felt a hand cover your mouth to muffle your cries.
“Shhh, baby it’s okay. It’s just me…” You dropped your phone.
Nanami sighed in relief. He sheathed his blunt sword back behind him and quickly reached for his phone. Seeing Hana’s name wasn’t questionable as she would contact him to know if you were doing okay. You weren’t the best when it came to responding back to messages. But he missed 10 calls.
“Kento-san! Hurry back home! I-I think she’s in trouble!” Nanami quickly walked back to Ijichi, who was waiting patiently for Nanami’s return.
“Can you tell me what happened?” he asked worriedly. “Last thing I know is that she’s going back home. Were you with her?” He then looked at Ijichi. “Ijichi-san…” Ijichi saw the urgent and worried look on his face.
“Her house or yours?”
“Hers.”
“We were on the phone catching up while she was heading home. I heard her trying to yell for help and she dropped her phone. There’s no answer. I think he came back.” Anger rose in him.
“Thank you, Hana-san.”
“I’m calling the cops.”
“Don’t worry, Hana-san. I can handle this.”
Nanami rushed up the staircase to your complex. He saw your phone and picked it up. He heard you crying and a male voice telling you to be quiet. Swiftly, he unlocked the door. His eyes widened when he saw your half naked body on the floor with a stranger on top of you.
“Get off of her!” Nanami yelled angrily.
He wanted to badly use his cursed energy on him. He was ready to rip his limbs apart. It was tempting. The man got up and ran to punch Nanami. But when his fist hit his face, the man groaned in pain. Nanami didn’t flinch.
“Who the hell are you? Her ex-boyfriend?” Nanami asked as calm as he could with anger seething through his voice.
“And who the hell do you think you are to ask me that? Her rebound?” the man questioned. Nanami grabbed him by the collar, lifting him off from the ground. Your body was frozen as you watched Nanami handle him. You continued to let your tears fall.
“I’m her boyfriend,” Nanami answered. “I told you to stay away from her.”
“Please, I know she wants me. You look too…serious to be her type.” Nanami was now annoyed. He definitely had a mindset of a cocky man who believed he can get anything he wanted in any way possible. Nanami tightened his grip.
“I suggest you run away. Run away and stay away from us,” Nanami warned. “Because right now, I’m going easy on you. Harass her again, I won’t hold back. And you’ll regret it.” Nanami dropped him and walked over to you. His demeanor changed, and he was back to his caring and soft self.
“Behind you,” you said. Nanami turned around. The man kicked his stomach, backfiring him. The man fell and winced in pain.
“What the fuck?! You’re a fucking superhuman!”
“You’re just a weak man,” Nanami said. “I’m still going easy on you.”
The man gulped and ran away. Once the door shut closed, Nanami knelt down to you. You wore only your bra and underwear. Your body was frozen. He assessed your body and felt anger when he saw bruise marks and redness on your skin.
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he said quietly.
“Kento-kun,” you said in tears. You felt yourself relax and immediately hugged him, sobbing in the crook of his neck. Nanami held you tightly.
“I won’t let anything and anyone harm you again. Are you okay? He…He didn’t do anything else right?”
“He kept trying to kiss me,” you mumbled. “I kicked him and he got angry. And-And-And then he…” you cried some more. Nanami softly shushed you and caressed your hair as he hugged you tightly.
“It’s okay, my love. You don’t have to say anything anymore.” When your crying was quieting down, he pulled away slightly. He caressed your red cheek. He softly kissed your cheek. His lips trailed down your neck where he saw light marks. And then down to your shoulders and your arms. He saw your wrist becoming purple. “You put up a fight.”
“Y-Yeah, I-I tried my best to.” Nanami kissed your wrists. You sighed in relief as he kissed your body.
“My sweetheart is so strong and brave,” he said. He looked at you and locked his lips with yours. He picked you up from the ground, both of your lips still together. He gently laid you down in bed and kissed your neck. “I-I’m sorry. I’ll stop and—“ You cupped his face, eyes pleading him to continue.
“Don’t stop, please,” you said quietly. “I love you so much.” Nanami nodded.
Everything about your first time with him is just like you imagined yet better. Nanami is gentle; always making sure you were okay before he continued to go further and further. Even with rough hands, his touches remain as gentle as always. The two of you cuddled naked in bed while Nanami continued to whisper sweet statements to you.
“I don’t want you to live here anymore,” Nanami said. “He knows where you live.”
“I don’t want to either,” you replied. “I should look for a place right now then. Probably first thing in the morning and—“
“Move in with me. We live together now, just in different locations right?” You nodded. “But if you’re not comfortable with it then—“
“I would love to move in with you,” you said happily. Nanami smiled in relief. You giggled and kissed him. “And we can be like this most nights.”
“You’re okay though? I didn’t hurt you, did I?” You shook your head.
“I’m okay, Kento-kun.”
“You don’t regret this right?”
“Of course not. Do you?” Nanami shook his head and kissed your forehead.
“Never.”

Little Flower Mini Fluffs: Kitchen Disaster
Ryomen Sukuna x Reader
One-shot: Little Flower
Previous: Emojis
“My lord, what is that?” Uraume asked. The two of them stood next to each other in the kitchen. Sukuna’s arms were crossed across his chest while Uraume hesitantly poked at the appliance.
“I don’t remember,” Sukuna mumbled, mentally cursing himself for forgetting something so simple.
“I don’t understand the 21st century,” Uraume said.
“Please, as if you have to deal with it 24/7,” Sukuna muttered.
“Is there even a name on it?”
“I checked. No name. No box. I watched little flower use it a few times when she heats up leftovers. She won’t let me near the kitchen since, as she describes it, my atrocious incident.” Uraume cracked a smile and small laugh, only to make Sukuna growl under his breath.
“Didn’t you want to make a homemade dinner for her? Not hear up leftovers?”
“I’ve seen her make dinner with this thing before! She had it on for hours too.”
“This is one multifunction technology then.”
“Agreed. Did you get the ingredients for the curry?” Sukuna asked curiously.
“Yes sir. I’ll get to cutting.”
With the two of them working together in the kitchen, they filled the appliance fairly quickly. Sukuna groaned at the overflowing appliance.
“My lord…”
“I know, something’s off. Oh well. Start the cooking. I think she did four hours last time.”
“But there’s a temperature setting we have to set, my lord.”
“God, I hate this fucking thing.”
“What if it’s the wrong appliance, my lord?” Uraume asked curiously and with concerned. “I don’t want my lady to get angry again.”
“Quit lying. She’ll be angry at me,” he huffed. “Okay, I did 400 degrees for four hours. Sounds about right. Let’s go buy her dessert, Uraume.”
“Yes my lord.”
The closer the pair got to the apartment, the faster their feet moved until they were practically sprinting. They easily smelled something burning. And they both knew that they were screwed.
“I’ll get the windows open,” Uraume said.
“I’ll turn off that smoke detector,” Sukuna said as he dropped the box of cake on the counter. They met back inside the kitchen, staring at the appliance. “What the fuck?!” They heard a door swiftly open. Sukuna mentally groaned and watched Uraume disappear.
“Baby! Are you okay?” he heard you ask worriedly. Sukuna turned around with a look of defeat. When you swiftly walked inside, you froze at the sight. Black smoke appearing next to Sukuna as he stood there looking…
“What made you looking guilty?” you asked. You placed your belongings on the counter and walked closer to him. You can see him trying to hide the evidence in front of him, but you gave him a push so he stepped out to the side. You couldn’t help but laugh. “Baby?”
“Quit fucking laughing!” Sukuna yelled. But you didn’t. You wiped a small tear that escaped your eye. “Uraume did it!” Your eyes lit up.
“Uraume was here? Where?” you asked curiously as you looked around.
“Uraume disappeared when you arrived. We’ve caused an incident.”
“I’m sorry, my lady.” Uraume suddenly appeared between the two of you. Sukuna grabbed Uraume by the collar, lifting them off of the floor.
“You better explain yourself!” he yelled. Uraume stoically stared at Sukuna.
“My lord wanted to surprise you with dinner, my lady,” Uraume explained. “Apparently he saw you use this appliance to reheat and cook food. He said you prepare a meal a few hours ahead of time.”
You processed the information that Uraume provided. You let out another giggle, resulting in Uraume and Sukuna look at you with a questionable expression. You unplugged the used appliance and bent down to the large cabinet, pulling out an even larger appliance.
“I told you that you weren’t ready for the kitchen, Sukuna,” you said as you placed it on the counter. “This is a slow cooker. I use this to make a meal. I like making something in the morning so by the time I arrive home, it’s done.”
“The makes sense, my lady. It’s larger than…that,” Uraume pointed out. They walked closer to the slow cooker. “It looks easier to use. These dials have low and high.” Sukuna glared at the monk.
“And what you two used is an air fryer,” you informed. “I use that to reheat food.”
“I hate technology,” Sukuna mumbled.

Promises I Intend To Keep 3
Nanami Kento x Reader
Previous Next
Song: End of Beginning by Djo
Nanami’s eyes never left the screen of his computer. He listened to the familiar footsteps inside his office. He didn’t have to look up to know it was his high school friend, Haibara Yu.
“Anything?” Nanami asked. Haibara shook his head with a frown. His frown deepened when Nanami slammed his fist on his desk hard. “It’s been 9 years!”
“We’ll find her,” he said swiftly. Nanami just nodded, eyes remaining on the chord bracelet you gave him years ago. “Are you sure she’s still in Japan though?”
“Yes,” Nanami said as the two walked to the parking garage. “She was sent up north, hours away from where we lived. My mother paid an absurd amount of money for their house.” Haibara nodded.
“Her father passed away five years ago,” he mentioned.
“He was involved in a car accident. His fault though since he was drinking. God, it was all I’ve seen him do.”
“You met the man?” Haibara asked curiously. Nanami nodded.
“He was always nice around me,” he answered. Haibara nodded and flipped through the files in hand.
“You never saw her in Todai.” Nanami shook his head. “I’ll do more investigating. Unless you need me to do something else? I think we’re caught up on schedule with meetings and what not.”
“Find her. Please.” Nanami’s voice softened at the end with vulnerability.
“I won’t disappoint. I’ll call Gojo-san and Geto-san.
“Tell Geto-san to help out when he’s done interviewing the new recruits. Have him send me the files immediately once he’s done.”
“Yes, sir.”
“Thank you, Yu.”
“No problem, Kento.”
Nanami watched Haibara leave the office first. He stared at the chord bracelet on his left wrist. He remembered you putting it on him. A night where his mother was out of town and you slept over while she was away. He checked his phone. Old photos from before that he never got rid of. Photos of you and him before you left. The smile on your face that gave him constant motivation to find you. The smile he has been longing to see for the past 9 years.
“I’ll find you, sweetheart. I promise.”
He sticks to his normal routes around Tokyo. He refuses to explore more and find a whole bunch of new restaurants and stores. He needed you around. He wanted to get lost with you like he planned to years ago. He parked at another parking garage to quickly grocery shop before he went back home.
He can’t help but to always remember the times when his mother was out on business trips and the two of you would grocery shop together. You were always determine to cook him dinner. And he was always eager to help you.
“Wait! I promise! This will taste good!” you exclaimed as you tried to add Cajun seasoning to the Alfredo sauce. Nanami laughed, gently and slowly letting you go. “Okay, a little bit at a time won’t hurt.” You gave him a small spoonful to try and Nanami nodded with approval.
“Fine, put more.”
“Told you so, Kento!”
“You’re here. I know you’re here,” he kept muttering to himself. He looked back at his phone, finding you in places that he ever thought he would see you.
He was used to the stares. It was like high school except this time it was around the world. Everyone knew who he was. A young and successful CEO of 7:3 Security at the age of 27 that he built from the ground up. A man with ambition. His goal to make it to the top so he could find you.
“Nanami-san, can we have an autograph?” Nanami gave the group of females a small smile and nodded. He signed their small note pads before giving them a bow before walking away.
He grabbed a cart, starting off in the produce section of the store. He made mental checks of everything that he needed for home. Onions. Garlic. Pepper. Potatoes. You name it. But his mind went blank. The familiar chime that he loves to hear years ago.
“That’s such great news! I think you’ll get the job, Shoko.” His ears perked. He was sure of that voice. He looked around, but the grocery store was crowded. “I mean, as long as I’m allowed to just sit around and hang out I’ll stop by every now and then. Ieiri Shoko, quit being nervous. You’ll get the job.”
He shook his head. He had to be hearing things. It was almost too easy. His eyes wandered until they landed on a woman on the phone. His eyes remained on her. He really looked at her. The features he studied everyday, there was no doubt that it was you. He abandoned his shopping cart, striding his way towards you. But he suddenly stopped when a a male of average height and dark hair approached you. He raised an eyebrow. He knew him. And you knew him. You smiled and spoke happily to him. He felt a quick and tight squeeze in his heart. But nonetheless, he approached you two.
“Higuruma-san,” Nanami called. Higuruma looked up, his aloof expression mirroring Nanami’s as he nodded in response.
“Nanami-san,” Higuruma responded. You turned to look up at Nanami. You didn’t know how to explain it. Your heart was suddenly racing while an intense feeling coursed through your body. Your mouth felt dry, your body also numb.
And Nanami saw you. He paid attention to your reaction. The dumbfounded and puzzled expression you held. He never expected it unless his appearance changed throughout the years. But he knew he didn’t change much, just like you. Softly, he called your name. And your eyes widened. You bowed deeply.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Nanami-san,” you said softly with your soft smile. His heart stopped.
Meet?
“You two know each other?” Higuruma asked. Nanami nodded but you shook your head. It only made Nanami frown.
“You’re…familiar,” you admitted slowly. You knew you did. You had a good feeling that you do know. Nanami nodded and cleared his throat. His eyes scanned you again. The golden, infinity necklace remained around your neck and the diamond ring he gave remained on your left finger. He felt a bit relieved.
“We went to the same high school,” Nanami answered. You giggled.
“We did?” Nanami nodded.
“But you moved.” You felt a hard tug on your chest and Nanami caught the split second of your pained expression. It was as if he could feel your pain. It urged him to hold you, but he knew that he couldn’t at the moment. He watched you give him a small yet soft smile.
“I heard you hired Hiromi-kun as your defense attorney,” you said brightly.
Hiromi-kun…
“Good choice, Nanami-san. He’s one of the best.” Nanami gave you a tight smile and nodded.
“Yes,” Nanami said and looked at Higuruma. He hated the affectionate look Higuruma was giving you. He respected the man, but, at this moment, he couldn’t respect him. “Top of Japan.” Higuruma nodded.
“Thank you, Nanami-san.” A phone suddenly rang. Higuruma suddenly took a step to the side and answered his call. “I’ll be right back, sweetie.” You nodded before turning back to Nanami.
Sweetie…
“You two are…?”
“Ah, h-he just calls me that,” you said nervously as you fiddled with your ring. “When I moved, he became my only friend in high school. When I came to Tokyo, he hired me on the spot as a secretary at his office.” He felt relieved. But it bugged him to not know your feelings for him. He could easily see it through Higuruma.
“Just friends?” he blurted out. He mentally winced at himself.
“Just friends,” you said reassuringly with a smile. You had a far away look, leaving Nanami mesmerized. “He reminds me of someone important. You know what? You two remind me of each other. It’s almost like a coincidence.” You giggled. Nanami softly smiled. You felt a hand on your shoulder and you turned around to see Higuruma.
“My client wants to meet right now,” he said. “You’ll be alright?” You nodded.
“I’m okay. Thank you, Hiromi-kun,” you replied. Higuruma gave you a soft smile before looking at Nanami expressionlessly.
“I’ll see you around,” Higuruma said. Nanami nodded.
“You as well,” he replied. The two of you watched him walk out of the store. You turned back to Nanami. His eyes were soft and warm, making you feel warm as well. You felt your heart race that you almost felt dizzy.
“Maybe I’ll see you again one day,” you said. You were about to walk away when he didn’t respond, but Nanami immediately reached out to you and held your arm. You inaudibly gasped. The warmth of his hand felt so familiar, warm, and safe. It made your thoughts go haywire.
How will it feel to be wrapped in his arms?
“T-The necklace and ring. They look beautiful on you.” Your cheeks turned pink. The compliment coming from him. It didn’t seem like it was said to be polite because he is the CEO.
“Thank you, Nanami-san,” you said with a soft smile. “I don’t remember who gave them to me. But, I know deep down that it’s the most important things I have. Is that strange?” Nanami felt his heart skip a beat that he smiled.
“Not at all,” he said softly. He loves the blush on your cheeks, knowing that he was the only one able give you that effect. Back then and right now. Not Hiromi Higuruma. Just Nanami Kento.
And you enjoy his presence. All you want to do is to spend more time with him.
“Want to grocery shop together?” you asked curiously. So yes, you decided to keep him around. Nanami chuckled.
“I would love to. Follow me. My cart is over there. What do you need to get?”
“Ingredients for Cajun chicken and broccoli Alfredo.” His heart skipped a beat.
“That’s my favorite.”
“Mine too! It’s one of the best meals I can cook, Nanami-san!” It bothered Nanami to no end. It felt too easy. Finding you was too easy. But as it was, he found you a challenge. Not knowing who he is just became that extra obstacle he needed to take care of.
“So…you don’t remember me?” he asked. You shook your head. “I guess since there’s a bunch of us at the high school.” You nodded.
“Ever since I got into a car accident, things have been different,” you said as you picked up items for dinner.
“Car accident?” Nanami questioned, worry evident in his voice. Again, you felt a skip of your heartbeat.
“Five years ago,” you answered. “It killed my father. It was a pretty bad accident and the doctors and nurses were surprised that I survived. I couldn’t remember anything at first, but memories were slowly coming back. But I know they’re not all back. I can feel it.”
“I’m sorry that happened.”
“And it sucks because I don’t even remember where I actually grew up. I don’t know where my mom is or where I got the jewelry. And this note. I have the most encouraging note and it makes me love the person who wrote it.” You don’t know why you were telling Nanami this. It felt so easy to tell him. “I’m sorry, I’m ranting so much about it.”
“N-No, it’s okay. I don’t mind,” he said. You gave him a shy laugh. “What made you come to Tokyo?”
“I just knew that I needed to go to Tokyo. I paid off the loans that my father owed and refused to pay, quit my job at the cafe, signed up to Todai, and got a job with Hiromi-kun before I left. I have a purpose here. I just know it.”
“If you need help, I’m willing to help.” You blushed again.
“I-I appreciate it, Nanami-san. But I should be okay.” He nodded in response. His mind was still swirling with the fact that you were right here next to him. It felt both like a dream yet a nightmare. You didn’t know him. You forgot about him.
“At least let me drive you back to your place,” he said.
“I live close by, Nanami-san.” It frustrated him, feeling useless as usual. “But, I would love one! I am pretty tired. Thank you so much.”
The car ride was quiet but you liked the silence. It felt comforting. You gave him the quick directions to your apartment building. You felt hesitant once he parked at the front. He felt compelling. It was like your body had a mind of its own that you couldn’t leave his side. Your heart was racing.
“Is everything okay?” he asked worriedly. You nodded.
“It’s just…I—Come over for dinner? Since you drove me home, it’s the least I can do. If you have the time, of course. Maybe a rain check on it? You’re a busy man and all,” you blabbered. You blushed and felt very flustered from your sudden request. You shyly stared at your lap as you rotated the ring on your finger.
“We’ll do a raincheck,” he replied softly. “I want to try that Alfredo dish you’re planning to make.” You looked at him with wide eyes. A smile appeared on your face and you nodded.
“Yeah! I can do that! I-I’ll see you soon, Nanami-san!”
You grabbed your bags from the back. With one last wave, you entered the building. He waited until he couldn’t see your figure. You were safe. You were okay. And for that, he can rest easy for now. Immediately, he pulled his phone out. He dialed Haibara’s number.
“I need hospital information from her five years ago,” Nanami ordered.
“Yes boss. Geto-san sent you the files of the best candidates, as well.”
“Perfect. By the way, you guys don’t have to search for her.”
“Oh? Why not?” Haibara heard a soft chuckle from his end.
“I found her.”
“Kento! That’s great news!”
“It is but…she doesn’t remember me,” Nanami confessed. “She was involved in the car accident with her father. She admitted to memory loss.” He heard a sigh from his friend.
“Alright boss. I’ll get on it after dinner if that’s alright.”
“Of course. There’s no rush.” Nanami went through the files. A certain name popped up that caught his attention. “I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Nanami immediately dialed the number. At the same time, he watched a woman with long brunette hair, straight navy blue slacks, a blue turtle neck, and low heeled shoes stop at the front entrance.
“Nanami Kento of 7:3 Security. May I speak to Ieiri Shoko?” He mentally chuckled to see the shock on the woman’s face.
“This is her,” she said a little too quickly and excitedly.
“I would like to offer you a job at the company. You will be receiving full benefits by the time you start working. Vacation and sick time is fixed and resets every year—-“
“I would love to accept the offer, Nanami-san!” Nanami mentally chuckled.
“Perfect. You can call or text me back from this number. I will send you onboarding paperwork through email and you can email everything back to along with questions that pop up to mind.”
“Y-Yes, sir! Thank you so much! I promise you, I will not disappoint you!” Nanami softly chuckled.
“Alright. Have a goodnight, Ieiri-san.”
Shoko immediately dialed a number on her phone. The sound of your name escaped her lips rather loudly before she entered the building. Nanami smiled. Did he become biased? He didn’t care at this point.

Little Flower Mini Fluffs: Emojis
Ryomen Sukuna x Reader
One-shot: Little Flower
Next: Kitchen Disaster
Previous: Home Disaster
You love everything about Ryomen Sukuna. The way he’s a completely different person only to you. The way he’s slowly been changing into someone more human than he was before. But nonetheless, you love him. Evil or not. And you wonder how you could love him more. Especially how he has such an old man mentality.
“What’s that smiling face?” he asked curiously as he looked at the keyboard on his brand new cell phone.
“Those are emojis,” you answered with a small giggle.
“Don’t judge me, woman,” he said, pretending be annoyed but you can hear the softness in them. “Little flower, what are all of these…symbols?”
“Emojis,” you answered again. Sukuna rolled his eyes. “Look.” You took your phone out and opened up a chat that included you, Shoko, and Utahime. “See these little symbols? It’s like, instead of typing the whole word out, you can replace them with emojis. Or emphasize your emotions or reactions. Look at this one.”
Utahime: Gojo’s doing that stupid thing again🙄
“And it’s as if Utahime-chan is rolling her eyes because you know, she’s always annoyed at Satoru-kun.” Sukuna nodded.
“What’s with the random letters? L-O-L?”
“It means ‘laugh out loud’,” you answered. “And then you can add in these laughing emojis.”
“They’re dumb.”
“It’s cute and funny, Sukuna.”
“I-D-K?”
“I don’t know.”
“What do you mean you don’t know? Why do you even use it often?” Sukuna questioned as he scrolled through the text messages. You laughed, harder. Sukuna frowned. “Little flower…”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry. You’re cute. It literally means ‘I don’t know’.” His eyes widened in realization.
“I have a lot to learn,” he mumbled. You nodded. You took his phone in your hand and went to the App Store. “What are you doing now, little flower?”
“Social media! Go on my phone and find my Instagram. We can post cute pictures of each other!”
“What the heck? You post a picture of me sleeing? The King of Curses sleeping? And you said that I’m cute?” he questioned. You shrugged.
“You are though, baby,” you replied. “Here, I’ll give you Twitter too. The guys are hilarious on here.” Sukuna rolled his eyes.
“And why would I care about what they say?” he questioned with a raised eyebrow.
“For entertainment.” Sukuna sighed.
“What has this world come to?”
“Greater and better things, old man.”
“Hey. Watch how you address me.”

Little Flower Mini Fluffs: Home Disaster
Ryomen Sukuna x Reader
One-shot: Little Flower
You returned home from your mission. You dragged your feet when you entered the apartment. But you were immediately met with Sukuna, his chest in your vision.
“You’re troubled,” Sukuna said, arms crossed across his chest. He crimson eyes bore into yours. “And injured. I could’ve gone.”
“I’m okay,” you said with a small pout. “Besides, if you did all the work, I wouldn’t be strong anymore.”
“Stubborn woman. Let me heal you.” He held your hand, walking you to the living room.
“Okay! And—OH MY GOD!”
When you walked further in your home, well, it was a disaster. Your tiredness and pain was all gone. There was food everywhere in the kitchen from appliances that all looked broken. Your Bluetooth speaker in the living room was broke in half. Your lamp, broken. Almost everything was broken.
“Ryomen Sukuna!” His eyes widened. Typically, he would be angry when someone addressed to him that way. But the only thing he felt was worry and slight fear.
“My Queen,” he said.
“Don’t go ‘my Queen’ on me OR ‘little flower’! What the fuck?!” Sukuna sighed and crossed his arms.
“I was going to clean it but then you came home,” he mumbled softly. “Look, I wanted to turn the lights on in the living room, but I didn’t know how to work this thing you call a lamp. And the speakers? I got pissed cause I couldn’t get those cool noises to come out of it.” Your gaze softened at his sincerity. “And I tried to make dinner but I got pissed as well. I don’t understand this technology crap. I barely understand this thing you call a cell phone. That young boy uses it and it’s very complex.” You laughed, making his eyebrows furrow. “You’re lucky I love you woman. I could kill you.”
“And you won’t,” you said with a tongue sticking out to tease him. “Just…let’s clean up. Okay?”
“Okay, little flower.”
“And then, we are going to the store to buy appliances and get take out.”
“Yes, little flower. You’ll have to teach me.”
“I will, baby.”

Little Flower
Ryomen Sukuna x Reader
Warnings: Mentions of violence, slight mention of cannibalism, NO smut. I tried not to make him too OOC. To me, Sukuna is 100% a dark romantic morally black dude. But I’m not that type of writer. He’s more morally grey here.
Song: Fear by Current Joys
“Fuck. Wake up. Brat…open your eyes!” And slowly you did. You fought the urge to keep the close, your eyelids half closed as you stared at the King of Curses. It was your first time seeing him like this.
Vulnerable. Scared. Broken.
“S-Sukuna…”
“I’m going to kill them,” Sukuna said, his grip slightly tightening around you. And you nodded.
Sukuna’s concubines. Former concubines. Those who felt ignored and jealous. Those who felt hatred towards you because Sukuna favored you and only you. You haven’t noticed before, but one day, Sukuna called you his Queen. It was all you needed to hear to confirm his own feelings for you. You’ve bothered him with ‘I love you’s’ and Sukuna would smile, his eyes softening at you before poking your forehead in response.
“N-Not Shoko-chan or U-Utahime-chan,” you said. And he nodded.
“I promise.”
“I love you.” Again, his grip tightened.
“I promise that I’m going to wait for you,” Sukuna said softly. “I promise to find you in your next life. You’ll wear the necklace I gave you. And I’ll win you back. Maybe, just maybe, this immortal life I live can be broken. And I can live and die with you.”
“Th-they s-s-say l-love is a-a curse,” you said. Sukuna nodded.
“Have a curse destroy a curse.”
“S-Sukuna…” a tear slipped out from the corner of your eye. Sukuna softly kissed it away and shushed you.
“I love you, too.” He felt it. Nothing. He felt nothing within your soul. He let a tear escape his eyes. “Rest easy, little flower. My Queen.”
The moment Jogo burnt to a crisp and he defeated Mahoraga, the evil laugh and smile left his face. Uraume, who appeared to greet his master, followed his gaze. Along with Sukuna, Uraume’s eyes widened.
“Is that—“.
“Little flower…” But you were different. The expression on your face wasn’t as gentle nor innocent like before. Instead of tending to flowers, your hands held katanas. Instead of a white kimono that he loved seeing you wear, you wore fitted clothing that hugged your body. Your typical hair that he loves seeing flow past your shoulders was tied up in a high ponytail.
“Sukuna!!” you yelled angrily as you ran to him to strike him. And you knew that the King of Cursed was stronger, way stronger than you could ever imagine. You weren’t at Gojo Satoru’s level. You’re evenly matched with Nanami Kento. He had the power and you had the brains. It didn’t surprise you that Sukuna stopped you. But what surprised you was the way he looked at you. Eyes so soft as if he recognized you.
“Y/N,” he said quietly. Your eyes widened. You watched his eyes trail your body, until it stopped towards your chest where your necklace laid. “You have it.” His hand reached out to your necklace, but you quickly jumped back, leaving a distance between you two.
“What do we do, My Lord?” Uraume asked.
“Nothing,” he answered, his eyes lingering on you. “Make sure she’s not unhappy, Uraume.”
“Yes, My Lord.”
“Itadori-kun! Wake up!” you yelled. Sukuna froze. The body he took over. The body he mentally tortured as he killed thousands of civilians.
“A thousand years,” he said. “It took a thousand years to see you again.” His statement made you falter, but you quickly gained back your composure. Even your eyes never left his. “And you can’t remember me.”
“My lord.”
“She’s on the other side,” he said, his hands being stuffed in his pockets. “I can’t disappoint my Queen.” You gasped. You watched Sukuna go down on his knees, eyes still on you. You watched Uraume do the same. And the two of them deeply bowed.
“My Queen,” they both said. That was when you stood up and looked at them. They remained in their spot, bodies still bowed down deeply to you.
“Quit playing games,” you said as you slowly made your way towards them. The moment you stood close in front of the two, they both lifted their heads up. Sukuna slowly stood up on his feet. Uraume followed.
“My Queen,” he said again. He didn’t move. He didn’t reach out to caress your hair or face like he usually did.
“My Lady,” Uraume said, bowing his head yet again.
“Stop,” you said and took a step back while shaking your head. “I’m not your queen or lady, or whatever.” He suddenly felt everything. The confusion, the fear, and the heartbreak. And something else he didn’t want to decipher.
“You like someone,” he said.
“So?” you questioned. A small yet soft smirk formed on his face.
“Is he hurt? Give me the name. I’ll kill the one who hurt him.” You quietly gasped, your eyes wide.
Anyone around the area watched with wide eyes. For the first time, they watched and witness the King of Curses submit to someone. Because a thousand years ago, you were the only one he would submit to. The only one he took orders from. The only one he would listen to.
The trance stopped when others went in to attack. You joined in and Sukuna dodged as he jumped away from everyone.
“Give Yuji back, Sukuna,” you ordered. Sukuna looked at you again. His hand slightly raised up. You watched the soft glow in his hands and watched it move towards you. It disappeared once it was in front and you watched as the eyes and tattoos on Yuji disappeared.
“What was that?” Kusakabe questioned with so much confusion. You sat there, elbows resting on your lap, your fingers interlocked while your chin rested on the top of your hands.
“It’s interesting,” Panda mentioned. But you ignored them, thinking about the situation at hand. Your hand moved to the necklace, the grip on the pendant tight. You gasped, a quick flash of a memory appearing in your mind. The back of a woman in a white kimono, standing outside in a beautiful garden.
“What the…” You muttered. Immediately, you stood up.
“You need to stay, Y/N-san,” Kusakabe said. “We can’t risk any losses.”
“Then don’t follow me,” you said as you continued to walk away. The two just watched until your figure disappeared.
You walked back out into the destruction of Shibuya. You ran and ran, reaching your way back to the station. You saw a sudden vision again. Familiar blonde hair. Body half burnt. Walking in exhaustion.
No.
You ran and ran, sprinted while your lungs hurt.
Kento.
You found your way inside, running inside the tunnels. You quickly and easily fought your way through transfigured creatures on your way.
Another vision appeared. It was the same one. More of him. But this time, he was fighting. And now, you used up all of your energy to run faster and faster. Your heart raced with fear while tears were blurring your vision and fighting their way out. You noticed a familiar figure. And you could only hope that it was the right person.
“Itadori-kun! Hurry! Kento!” you yelled when you recognized him about to run as well.
“Sensei! What’s wrong?” Yuji asked curiously.
“I-I don’t know. We need to hurry,” you said, your voice breaking. When you turned to look at Yuji, your eyes widened the moment you saw two lower eyes, all four of them crimson red with black tattoos on his face. The lower eye looked at you. The type of softness you never would’ve thought you would receive from. “S-Sukuna.” But he didn’t reply and ran with you.
You were out of breath. You found Mahito in front of Nanami. The evil and merciless smile Mahito had gave you chills down your spine. When Nanami turned around, a small smile appeared on his lips. You felt a sting in your heart.
“Kento…”
Before you know it, Mahito was far away and smashed against the wall. Both yours and Nanami’s eyes widened. The tension in the air grew. You watched as Mahito cried in fear before he burnt into a crisp. You quickly ran to Nanami as he fell to his knees.
“Kento,” you called softly. Nanami looked at you with a tired smile. “You’re okay.”
“Sort of,” he answered, his hand slowly reaching and holding yours. “Glad to see you’re okay.” You let the tears escape. But you quickly turned around when footsteps walked closer to you. You stood up, standing in front of Nanami, your hands on the handles of your katanas, and ready to fight.
“You like him,” Sukuna said. You stared at him again. Your head slightly tilted in curiosity.
“B-Be careful,” Nanami said softly, his sight never leaving Sukuna. You nodded.
“What a shame,” Sukuna added. “If I killed him, would it hurt you?” Your grip tightened.
“Y-Yes,” you answered as strongly as you could. The thought of Nanami being killed right before your eyes killed you.
“If I inhabited his body to keep him alive, would it hurt you?” Your eyes widened.
“I-Is he—“
“No. Just a thought, little flower.” Your body stilled at the nickname Sukuna called you. Sukuna raised an eyebrow. You stared blankly at the man. Another vision. This time with Sukuna in his true form from his four arms and his taller height. Your body faltered and Sukuna almost took strides to catch you.
“What did you do to me?!” you yelled, trying to fight the visions away. “That glowing thing… what was that?!” Sukuna never faltered, but you caught the concern in his eyes. “Why? Why me?”
“Little flower…”
“Please…it—it’s too much,” you said as you shook your head, wanting to shake the visions away while your tears were flowing down your cheeks. The tears broke him. He walked quickly towards you, but Nanami was quicker as he held you in his arms. It angered Sukuna. You watched the crease of his brows and the scowl on his face. You feel the anger from the thick tension of the air. The urge for him to kill. “Please don’t hurt him.” The pleading voice made him soft. Oh how he used to hate that it made him soft. But it did and it still does.
“I won’t,” he said as he took a step back. He went down on one knee, his eyes never leaving yours. “Tell me what to do, little flower. Let me help you with your mission.”
“W-What—“
“What game are you playing?” Nanami asked. He leaned against you. Exhaustion was quickly hitting him. Sukuna’s gaze hardened when it moved to Nanami. He scowled at him.
“You don’t question me,” Sukuna said darkly before looking at you again. And you watched him soften. “I only serve you, little flower.”
“But why?” you asked. This time, you were curious. Your eyes widened, your hand reaching for your necklace. “This necklace. What do you know about it? You have to know.”
“I do know,” he answered. “A necklace from my time from a thousand years ago. A necklace I created. Just for you.” It shocked you and Nanami.
“A thousand years…a thousand years to see me again?” Sukuna nodded. “It doesn’t make sense.”
“People become reincarnated throughout life,” Sukuna explained. He was patient, oh so very patient. You wouldn’t be able to tell that he was a murderous monster. “I see it all the time, but it was never you. I could never feel your soul. And I didn’t want to believe it, until now. Until I saw you.”
“But…but you—legends say that—“
“I love power. I kill for a living. I consume so much hatred and could careless for every human around. I could careless about this boy I inhabit and that man holding you. But you…”.
“Me?” But Sukuna closed his eyes and shook his head. He opened them, this time you were out of Nanami’s hold as you stood in front of him. “Kento, you should go to Shoko-chan.”
“No, I’m not—“
“Go.” But you never heard him leave. Sukuna stood up, his deathly stare lingers on Nanami. “I’ll be fine.” Both Nanami and Sukuna knew that tone. Nanami wouldn’t win it. You would’ve dragged him to Shoko and return back to Sukuna. But he was stubborn as well.
“I’m not leaving you alone with him,” Nanami said.
“And I’m not letting you die.” Sukuna smirked.
“Best you listen to her. But I won’t do anything to her nor you,” Sukuna said.
“No.”
Sukuna grew impatient. He was glad that Nanami was too weak to fight. He took the opportunity to hold on to the both of you, bringing Nanami to Shoko and bringing you somewhere. Alone.
“Y/N!” Nanami yelled.
Sukuna gently put you down. You walked over to a tree to lean your back against the trunk. You watched Sukuna standing there, staring at you yet again.
“Quit staring,” you said as you looked away. “It’s creepy.” Sukuna smirked, a small chuckle escaping his lips. The pink color forming on your cheeks brought the same amusement back to him.
“You never thought it was creepy before,” he mentioned. “In fact, you loved that I did. You loved the fact that I always keep an eye on you.” He watched the bottom of your lip, jutting out into a small pout.
“This reincarnation thing, how is it true?” you asked. “Don’t people remember stuff or have like deja vu happen to them?”
“Not always, little flower,” Sukuna answered. “It’s things I see. Things I recognized.”
“But…you’re a curse now. And…shit, y-you were one back then.”
“And you’re still a curious human.” You glared at him, making him chuckle yet again. “What a shame that you have no memories from before. More of a shame that you have to side with the ones I hate the most.”
“Then kill me,” you said with confidence. But it made him frown, adding more to your frustrations. “Why won’t you?!”
“I watched you die in my arms once! I’m not doing that again!” Your eyes widened. You felt your heart skip a beat. “You…You—fucking shit!” You stood there still and watched him with worry. “Shut up, boy!” Your eyes widened.
“Itadori-kun…”
“The fuck do you know?” It was like watching a madman talking and cursing to himself. You watched him talk and pace angrily, assuming it was at Yuji. “I fucking hate humans and their stupid fucking feelings. Their emotions. Everything! But—“ Sukuna looked at you. The anger immediately gone, replaced with something soft and tender. It made your heart race.
“Sukuna.” It was the softness in your voice that made him crack. You watched a small tear slip out from the corner of his eye.
“You were so innocent and full of life. You kept to yourself. You always smiled and laughed. We were the complete opposite. You were the type of human I hated. I hated it so much that I wanted to kill you but I fell in love with you” Sukuna confessed. “The moment I felt your sadness, I’ll kill those who caused you that. Those that brought you pain and anger. I would do anything to hear your voice and laugh, see your smile, watch you tend to your garden, and just to be with you. And you loved it too. That’s why you’re the only one I listen to. I submit only to you. My one and only Queen. So, tell me what to do and I’ll do it. You want me to rebuild that goddamn city. I’ll fucking do it. Need me to heal those human friends of yours. I’ll do it. I’ll even—“.
“Are you a part of this whole scheme?” you asked.
“No. I had other things in mind.”
“Then stop this. Stop whoever is doing it,” you said.
“Your wish is my command, little flower.”
“I want you to heal my allies as well. Even Kento.”
“What else?”
“Make sure Yuji comes back. Stop tormenting him, please.”
“Okay.” Sukuna walked closer to you. He gently reached out to your face, fingers gently cupping your chin to look at him. “I’m still keeping my promise to you, somehow.”
“P-Promise?” He nodded.
“And when I fulfill it, we’ll live our lives how we were supposed to live a thousand years ago.”
“How? You’re a curse, unleashed through cursed tools.”
“If there’s a will, there a way.” You pulled away, eyebrows furrowed, and crossed your arms against your chest.
“I don’t want you using Itadori-kun’s body afterwards. In fact, I don’t want you to use anyone’s body as a vessel,” you said. His eyes squinted in slight annoyance.
“You always have to make things difficult, my little flower,” he replied.
“If you’re that determined to have me, so be it,” you said. Sukuna smirked.
“Challenge accepted. I always get my way. And when I win you back, you’ll see how much of an importance you are to me, even if you don’t see it now.”
“Little flower…”
You turned around. Tears rolled down your cheeks. The sunlight reflecting the water in your eyes made Sukuna’s heart clench. He walked closer and closer, lifting your chin up to face him.
“M-My lord…”
“I told you, address me by my name. You are my Queen after all, little flower,” Sukuna said. “Now…who the fuck hurt you?”
“Why do you give me special treatment? Why do you consider me as your queen?” His eyes squinted. Slight irritation from you for not answering his question directly. But he can feel it. The confusion and hurt in your delicate soul.
“Because you’re the only one I can tolerate,” he answered. “For some reason, I let you talk back to me, order me around, and question me. Did I hate it? Yes. I wanted to kill you. But you stop me from doing so.”
“But why? A lot of women here are better than me. Prettier. More confident. They don’t like me cause they find me replaceable.”
“Tell me who. I will kill those who defy you.”
Your eyes opened. You quickly shot up, the shock in your dream waking you up. You looked around. You found yourself in the school where Shoko heals the students. A soft chuckle perked your ears, and you turned around to find Shoko healing a student.
“We were worried,” she said. “You haven’t woken up for a little over a week.”
“What?!”
“Yeah. Sukuna brought you back to us,” Shoko answered.
“H-How’s everyone? Where’s Satoru? And what happened to Kenjaku? Shibuya? Itadori-kun?”
“Hold on. So much happened that we were all confused about,” Shoko said.
It didn’t take long. You and Shoko sat down together alone in her infirmary, and soon after, Gojo entered the premises. The three of you sat down together.
“I don’t know what you have going on with Sukuna,” Gojo started, “but he’s the reason why this whole fight in Shibuya is over.” Your eyes widened.
“Wait. Where’s Kento?” you asked as he suddenly appeared in your thoughts.
Hospital,” Shoko answered. “But he’s okay so far.” Your shoulders relaxed. But the mention of Sukuna somewhat made you nervous. You didn’t know yourself. The visions and dream of him appearing.
“I just remember seeing Sukuna when he unsealed me from the box,” Gojo said. “And everything was over.”
“He brought you back to us first, but you were unconscious,” Shoko said. “No injuries, nothing. But we watched Sukuna fight Kenjaku. He killed him, so Kenjaku is gone. And we watched him with caution as he was healing everyone. Watched as he helped rebuild the city until Itadori-kun returned back to his body. Or Sukuna let him return.”
“W-What? H-He didn’t say anything afterwards?” you asked. Gojo shook his head but Shoko nodded.
“That he hopes that you’re happy that he fulfilled your wishes,” Shoko answered.
“Is he still in Itadori-kun’s body?” Shoko and Gojo nodded.
“And he’s been a bit distant since then,” Gojo mentioned.
“Where is he now?” you asked.
“In his dorm,” Gojo answered.
“I have to find him.”
You quickly headed out. You squinted the moment you were outside from the bright sun. You walked swiftly towards the dormitory in the campus. By the time you arrived by Yuji’s door, you took a deep breath. Your knuckles raised up to the door to knock, but the door swiftly opened, revealing Yuji with a bright smile on your face.
“Sensei! You’re awake!” he said cheerfully. “Come in!”
“Thank you, Itadori-kun,” you said and walked inside. You pulled a chair out and sat down. You watched the young boy sit on his bed, crossed legged, and looked at you. “How are you? I heard you’ve been…distant.”
“Just taking everything all in,” he answered truthfully. “Sensei, what Sukuna said. Is it true?” Your eyes lowered to your lap.
“I don’t know,” you answered. “B-But it has to. He could’ve killed us all.”
“He’s a part of me, sensei. He tries to fight it so I don’t know how he’s feeling but, it’s the first time I felt so much from him. It was strange and I don’t understand it.”
“Can you describe it?” Yuji placed a hand on his chest. A soft smile was forming on his face.
“Overwhelming,” he said. “His heart races and I know when he could care less and is angry and well, downright evil. But the moment he looks at you, I feel something fluttering. And, well, it’s pretty cute.”
“Cute?!” Yuji lightly laughed.
“It’s cute feeling how the King of Curses feel from his typical evil self. It’s like…there’s just something human in him for sure. And if I can, I would like for him to become one.” Your expression soften.
“You’re a kind boy, Itadori-kun,” you said softly and wholeheartedly.
“Everyone deserves a chance in life, right?”
“Right.” You watched Yuji’s expression slightly change into something curious.
“Yeah…you really like her. I can’t shut up about it. I never get to feel things like this. Why don’t you just take over? Oh. I see. Well, do you have any ideas?”
“Itadori-kun, was that him?” Yuji nodded.
“The glowy thing he did, he wants you to remember. Eh? What do you mean I wasn’t supposed to tell her?” You couldn’t help but chuckle. “Well, if you kill me, my sensei will be upset. You’re whipped, Sukuna.”
Inside, Sukuna was cursing at the young boy. And it only made him more mad the moment Yuji chuckled.
I wanna kill this brat.
“Itadori-kun, make sure Sukuna stays in good control for me. He better stop cursing at you,” you said.
This fucking woman. I can’t deny her wishes.
“He can’t deny your wishes, Sensei.”
You sat alone in your home. You pulled the necklace over your head, the pendant resting on your hand. You remember buying it at a thrift store. An ancient looking relic that you never thought would catch your interest. You remember gravitating towards it. You remember the strong feeling inside you as you held it in your hands.
“Ryomen Sukuna,” you mumbled. You tightly gripped the pendant and closed your eyes. You channel your cursed energy to the pendant, focusing on it and on Sukuna.
“You’re new,” Sukuna said. You found yourself in a large estate. You wore a white kimono and your hair was out of its usual ponytail. You bowed deeply to Sukuna who stood in front of you.
“My lord,” you said.
“Come.”
You felt time passing. You heard murmurs from other women. Other women you recognized that Sukuna would spend time with. You found yourself walking in the empty hallways until you reached two large dark doors. You didn’t knock. Instead, you slowly placed your hand on the handle to open the door. As you did, the other door opened swiftly. On the other side was Sukuna. He looked at you with a raised eyebrow. Your eyes slowly widened and you placed your arms by your side and bowed.
“My lord,” you said softly. “I want some company in the gardens.” A small request for his time and a request Sukuna slowly always accepted. You looked up to find soft, red crimson eyes meeting yours. In response, Sukuna walked out of his room, closing the doors behind you, and taking your hand in his.
“What’s bothering you, little flower?” he asked. “I can feel your soul trembling.”
“Do you still sleep with the other women in your estate?” you asked. “They all complain for having less time with you.” A small chuckle escaped Sukuna’s lips. You looked at him with curiosity, the soft breeze blowing your hair. Sukuna turned to you, his m right arm tucking the strands of hair behind your ear.
“It lessened sometime after our first night together,” Sukuna answered. “And now, I don’t.”
“Why’s that? They all miss you.” His chuckle made your heart race.
“Are you that naive?”
“I just like direct answers.”
“Tsk. You always do,” Sukuna said. And then, he was silent. But you heard him stand up from the bench. You listened to him walk behind you. And before you know it, you felt something cool around your neck.
“Don’t lose it,” Sukuna said. “It was made specifically for you and you only. Okay?” You started at the engraved pendant with admiration. Sukuna watched a smile from on your lips.
“Of course, Sukuna.” You looked at him and you watched a smirk form on his face.
“You’re lucky I like you enough to call me by my name.”
“Of course I am. I am your special lady, am I not?” His smirk widened.
“It’s why I keep you around, little flower.”
You opened your eyes. Everything you saw was overwhelming. You felt tears fall from your eyes. The grip on the pendant tightened more as you brought it close to your chest. Instead of the fluttering feeling you had during the vision, you felt the pain develop more and more.
“Sukuna…”
“Sukuna, I sense that you’re hungry,” you said. “I know a few people who’s been being a little naughty today.” His arms were crossed as he stared out blankly in front of him. Your smile dropped when he didn’t respond. You took a seat next to him, slowly scooting yourself closer to him. “You haven’t eaten.”
“I haven’t,” he replied, doing his best not to burst out in anger.
“You haven’t killed anyone in a while, huh?” He shook his head, his grip tightening on his arms. “Why not?”
“It displeases you.” You can feel your heart race, butterflies roaming in your stomach.
“Just…just don’t have me see, smell, or hear it,” you said softly as you shyly looked away.
“I’ll have Uraume take you out today. Maybe have two of your friends with you as well. You’ve been in the estate for too long.”
Your body was shaking. You wanted to stop but you had to see more.
“Little flower. You’re not at the garden tonight.” You turned around and found Sukuna walking closer to you. You smiled softly at his presence. You stood up and met him halfway, your arms around his waist, hugging him tightly.
“I was waiting for you, my King,” you said. “Uraume-san said that you were returning tonight.” You caught the small smile form on his lips.
“Let’s go.”
He sat on the dewy grass, pulling you up on to his lap. His lower arms supported his weight as he leaned back while the upper two held you close to him while your back leaned against his chest.
“I’m coming with you next time on your missions,” you said with a small pout.
“You’ll hate it.”
“Yeah but I hate it more without you here. Despite the killings you do, I rather be around with that than be alone.”You felt the soft vibration of his chest as he chuckled.
“As you wish, my Queen.” You felt your body relaxed, snuggling closer to his body. You closed your eyes and sighed in content.
“I love you, Sukuna.” He felt you fall asleep. His one arm caresses your hair before he leaned in and kissed the top of your head.
“I love you, too, Y/N.”
You couldn’t stop the tears from flowing.
It was different. It really felt like you were there. The eerie silence in the estate and the way you cautiously walked around to get to the gardens to clean. Shoko and Utahime were out with Uraume to buy more food at the market. You wanted to stay behind and clean out the garden.
You gasped loudly and before you could yell, your mouth was covered. You opened your eyes to see all the concubines surrounding you. They were angry. They didn’t say anything. All they did was attack you. Hurt you until you could barely breathe and keep your eyes open.
You remember the feeling of his arms. The tightening grip, scared for you to go. You remember the first time you saw the fear in his eyes. The water forming in them. His body trembled. Anger, pain, and anguish increasing every second.
“I love you, too.”
“Reincarnation…” you said to yourself. You shook your head. “But how?” Your hand remained by your chest. The pain was too much and it wouldn’t go away. You shook your head, letting heartbreaking tears escape. You brought your knees up to your chest and buried your face in yours knees. “What the fuck…?”
And then you thought about Nanami. The walking green flag of a man. The one who always make sure that you’re okay and helps you out on missions, whether you were alone or with the students. You knew he had some feelings towards you and you a well for him. And in general, he’s a protective man to his friends and students. It didn’t matter how much Gojo annoyed him, Nanami would be there to help and protect him.
“Maybe he’s awake.”
You scrambled yourself out of bed. You headed to the bedroom to take a quick shower and change into a long sleeve dress, warm tights, knee high boots, and a sweater. You grabbed your purse with your phone and wallet before heading out. You lived close to Shibuya. And you were amazed how the area looked like nothing happened on Halloween day. And it amazes you more that there were just as many people.
Did he—-no he didn’t. I never asked.
You made your way to Nanami’s room. You heard voices fill the room. When you peeked inside, you found Gojo, Shoko, Yuji, Megumi, Nobara, and Ino. You knocked on the door, gathering their attention, before entering inside. You watched the soft smile form on Nanami’s face as you greeted everyone.
“I could’ve just gone with you guys,” you said as you put your purse on the table. You looked at Nanami and smiled. “I’m glad you’re okay. Almost as if nothing happened.”
“Yeah, I’m surprised as well,” Nanami said. His voice was gentle yet with his response, it felt stern and suspicious. “I heard you just woke up.” You blushed.
“Y-Yeah,” you answered as you brushed the ends of your hair with your fingers. “I figured I check up on you.”
“You should be resting.”
“I feel fine.”
“Well, we should go,” Gojo said. “Let’s go kids.”
“Bye, sensei!”
“See you later, guys.”
The five of them left, leaving the two of you alone. You moved an empty chair closer to Nanami’s bed and sat down. The silence felt somewhat awkward.
“A-About that night,” you said. “T-There’s a lot to talk about.”
“There is.”
“I don’t want you to be mad and—“
“I’m not mad,” he said. “If Sukuna wanted, he would’ve killed us on the spot. Even if I wasn’t injured and tired, it would be easy for him to kill us.” You nodded. “So, you tell me because you apparently know him.”
“Earlier, the reincarnation thing he talked about,” you said. “Maybe I am a reincarnation of the woman he loves. I’ve been having dreams and visions. I’m in them. All of them, Kento. All of them with Sukuna. And in them, he’s isn’t what we learned he is. As if he’s a human and not a curse nor a demon.”
“You’re taking a liking to him,” Nanami said. Your eyes were wide and Nanami chuckled softly. “I do like you a lot, but if the version of you now have some feelings towards him, I’m not stopping something that’s meant to be.”
“I—“. You shyly looked away. “What can we do?”
“I don’t know. I know Itadori-kun would love to give him a chance of becoming a human. However, I don’t know how to even start with that,” Nanami said. “I would say he’s putting up an act, but he’s so strong that he doesn’t have to do all of that.”
“The man has no patience,” you said. You crossed your legs and arms, irritably looking away. “Always so demanding, I had to put him in his place. You know, back then, he immediately beheads those that just even question him. He almost did it to me. I questioned his request and it was the first time I’ve seen him so angry. But even angrier when he stopped himself from…killing…me.” You slowed down when you finally realized that you were talking about the past. You blushed and looked at Nanami. “Kento, it’s—“
“Don’t fight it, Y/N. He cares for you and you care for him. You want to give him a chance because deep down, you being a reincarnation, you still love him too. You’re just not how you are back then. How were you back then?”
“Quiet, more submissive, more emotional. I hated violence to the point Sukuna starved himself from humans because he knows that I hate it when he does that. I had to go out to town with Uraume-san when he does that. Sukuna and I are polar opposites but we compromise well.”
“You’re not quiet,” Nanami said. “You’re pretty stubborn and you don’t let your emotions get to you. And yet, Sukuna is still determined for you. Look, it’s against every rule of sorcery to do this, but I will help. Once I’m discharged, I’ll help Itadori-kun free him.” Your eyes widened and sudden tears formed in your eyes.
“I owe you so much, Kento,” you said. Nanami smiled, his hand reaching to your hand and rest on top of it.
“Anything for you to be happy. You’re one of my best friends,” he confessed.
“You know what, whenever you’re ready for the dating game, I’m your wingwoman.” Nanami chuckled.
“I’ll keep that in mind. It be better than Gojo-san being my wingman. He gets over the top with things.” You laughed and nodded.
It was now December. You watched as small snowflakes slowly fell from the sky. You were at the school, busy with paperwork that you ended being behind on. As you wrote on one hand, your other held on to the pendant tightly. You felt something, something strange every time you held it. The only thing bringing you back to reality was the soft knock on the door.
“Come in,” you replied. You watched as Shoko and Utahime entered inside. Your smiled brightened. “Here to visit, Utahime-chan?”
“Of course,” she answered. “I haven’t seen you guys since the incident.”
“Shoko-chan, did Kento and Itadori-kun return from their mission yet?” you asked.
“Not yet but Gojo did tell me that they should return back in a few days,” Shoko answered.
“What are they doing?” Utahime asked. You and Shoko shrugged your shoulders.
“You two here to help me escape from paperwork?” you asked.
“Duh! I’m more important than the paperwork,” Utahime answered with a wink. You laughed, placing the files back in a folder before grabbing your things. “I heard of this new Bistro that opened. Let’s check it out.”
The three of you chatted, even when the food arrived. You’ve caught Utahime with everything that’s been happening after the incident: Sukuna, the necklace, and reincarnation.
“So, we’re your reincarnated friends,” Utahime stated. You nodded. “I’ve read a lot on it. It’s an interesting topic. Especially with family members when they think another generation of a child is a reincarnated version from someone in the past.”
“So, you believe in it?” you asked curiously.
“I actually do. What Sukuna said can be true. He may be an evil curse, but I believe he’ll always state the truth. He loves to be right.”
“It could be like that red string of fate tale, too,” Shoko mentioned. “It’s those type of love stories I tend to hear about every now and then.”
“Look, if you got him wrap around your finger, you better make sure he doesn’t kill us,” Utahime said, her finger wagging up in the air. You couldn’t help but laugh.
“He didn’t in the last life, that I believe,” you said. “Now, we need to find a girl for Kento.”
“What kind of girls does he like?” Utahime asked. You shrugged.
“Someone similar to you,” Shoko said. “Maybe more stubborn.”
“Who’s more stubborn than her?”
“Hey!”
“What? It’s true!”
“Not completely! Maybe he needs someone quiet.”
“Clumsy.”
“Dependent!”
“No independent!”
“I have someone in mind.” The three of you jumped and looked up to find Gojo.
“Such a stalker,” Utahime said as she rolled her eyes.
“What? I heard you’re in the city! How can I not be here to bask in your presence?!” With Utahime’s bickering with Gojo, you quietly gasped. You noticed Shoko look at you with a raised eyebrow.
“What’s wrong?” Shoko asked, giving Gojo and Utahime your attention. Your hand reached to your pendant.
“I felt something,” you said.
“Sukuna?” Gojo asked. You nodded.
“But, I don’t know how to describe it. It’s…strong.”
You arrived straight home after your outing with the three of them. You quickly showered and dressed in something comfortable for the evening, a pair of shorts and an oversized crew neck. Your hair was tied up in a messy bun and you sat in your living room while trying to find something to watch.
“Holy fuck!” you yelled when loud knocking was present at your door. You ran quietly to the door and peeked up at the peephole. Your eyes widened and you swiftly opened the door. “S-Sukuna…”
He didn’t look any different. His hair stilled spiked up, hair color was now black instead of pink like Yuji’s. His crimson red eyes remained on you, watching you observe him. He was tall, that was for sure. You were probably two heads shorter than he was. He wore black pants, a white shirt, and a black leather jacket to keep him warm. Black boots. A chain bracelet and necklace to accessorize.
“No…wait…you’re not—“
“It’s me, little flower.” His voice was still the same. So soft spoken just for you. Tears automatically blurred your vision. You brought him to your arms, your face buried in his chest as you cried.
“Sukuna…” You felt strong arms envelop you. He slowly brought you two inside and gently closed the door behind you. “H-How…?”
“Nanami Kento and the young boy did their research,” he said. “It was risky but it worked.”
“You didn’t do anything to them to them, did you?” you automatically asked. Sukuna huffed.
“If I did, it risked my chance of being with you,” he answered. “Can I go in and sit?” You nodded.
“Take your shoes off.”
“Yes, little flower.”
“Sit on the couch, I’ll make us some tea.”
“Which one do I like?”
“Green tea. Straight up. You hate sweets unlike me. You always rolled your eyes at me whenever I requested for sweets, nonetheless, you still go out to gather any sweet cravings I have.” You heard a chuckle.
“You remember.”
“How could I forget, my lord.”
“What did I say about you addressing me that way?”
“You hate it,” you answered and stuck your tongue out at him. Sukuna sighed and took a seat on the couch. He sighed in content. He never thought some sort of furniture would be this comfortable. He eyed around your apartment. Everything around was so new and…intriguing?
“You’ll need to teach me about this time,” Sukuna said. “Especially this technology crap. I could’ve killed anyone who was about to run me over because they were busy on their phones while driving.” You couldn’t help but laugh. “I told you, though. I was going to somehow break out of this immortal shit.”
“And your power?”
“I’m still powerful. I can feel it,” Sukuna said. “But…fuck, do you always need me to tell you these things?”
“I like direct answers, Sukuna! That never changed!”
“Tsk.” You returned with two cups of tea. “I promised you, didn’t I?”
“Still not a direct answer I wanted.”
“Fucking woman…” You giggled. A sound that perked his ears and that he missed so much. “I would do anything and everything to be with you, little flower. I’ll even stop being this powerful and evil person for you. Though, I would hope you would still let me.”
“Only within reason, you ass.”
“Woman!”
“I’m stating the truth.”
“Heh, you always do. That’s why I always kept you around too. I remember the first day meeting you.”
“When I was scared shitless because I thought you were going to kill me after we had sex.”
“I don’t like random women caressing my face after!”
“Mister evil demon lord,” you mumbled as you took a sip of your wine. Your eyebrows raised when he chuckled. You couldn’t help but smile. “So…you’re human now.” You watches him nod. “Is it—well…does it suck?”
“Do you want to be with me?” He watched you blush, a huge satisfaction in his end. “I’ll take it as a yes. So no, it doesn’t suck.”
“B-But why? Why am I that worth it for you, Sukuna?” you asked curiously.
“I’m not a good guy,” he said. “I still don’t like like humans. But, you were the best human I’ve met and—you’re purposely trying to make me give you a direct answer.”
“Quit beating around the bush.”
“Quit being weak—eek!” Sukuna pulled you in his arms, holding on to the tea cup so you wouldn’t spill anything on you.
“The first time I saw you crying, I knew it was when I need to keep you around. God, I hated that vulnerable feeling when I first saw those tears. And…I-I’d rather be a mortal human if that means we can be together and have time together again in the next life.” He looked at you. He looked at the soft smile your formed. A smile just for him that he was dying to see.
“So…am I any different now than I was a thousand years ago?” you asked.
“More stubborn, definitely not as innocent as you kill curses now, and not as delicate and fragile. But your soul remains the same and I still love you for still being who you are.”
“You know I can’t say that I love you yet,” you said. You noticed the rare fear in his eyes. “But, I’m willing to try. Having you in my life and see where things go.”
“Then, if that’s what my Queen wants, that’s what she’ll get.”
“You really would do anything and everything for me huh? Like, you’re wrapped around my finger type of love?”
“Silly human.”
“You’re human now too.”
“Still.” You couldn’t help but laugh. You leaned up and kissed him softly on the lips.
“It does feel good though. Being together with you.” You felt the grip on his arms tighten.
“I missed it. So damn much. Now…” Sukuna’s eyes eyed on the remote controller on the coffee table. He reached over for it and handed it to you. “Explain this device.”

I enjoy writing this one-shot if Sukuna. I can’t wait to post it this week! Here’s a little preview:
“She’s on the other side,” he said.
It says the content is mature in my drafts. I can tell you guys now that there is no smut mentioned in my one-shot. There is only mention of violence.

Promises I Intend To Keep Part 2
Nanami Kento x Reader
Previous
Song: Never Let Me Go by Florence + The Machine
You snuck out of your house. You walked a few blocks down and found Nanami patiently waiting for you. You laughed happily as you ran to him and hugged him tightly. He lifted you up off your feet and spun you around as you laughed with excitement.
“You’re finally back,” you said.
“I’m finally back.”
He left to Denmark to visit his father for the first half of winter break. When you learned that he finally arrived back in Japan, you had to see him immediately. It was the longest time you were away from him after being together for two and a half years.
He gently placed you back on your feet and kissed you passionately on the lips. You two had moments of make-out sessions before. However, it never went beyond that. And this time, this kiss felt needier than before. His hand was pressed against the back of your head while the other was on your waist to keep you close to him. Your arms were wrapped around his neck. When Nanami pulled away hesitantly, he pressed his forehead against yours.
“I don’t ever want to be away from you for that long ever again,” he said. You cupped his face with your small hands and gently caressed his cheeks with your thumbs.
“I don’t either,” you said. Nanami studied your face. He immediately noticed the healing bruise by your cheek and eye. His thumb lightly grazed on the healing injury.
“He hit you again,” he mumbled.
“I was okay,” you said. “I promise.”
“I’m sorry I wasn’t there for you.” He was immensely guilty now.
“I’m a strong girl,” you said with a soft chuckle. Nanami knew that you are. His thumb gently caressed the bruises.
“I know,” he muttered. “I feel so useless and helpless.”
“Don’t be. You help give me strength, too.” A chuckle escapes his lips.
“That’s my girl. My mom is inviting my grandparents for dinner tomorrow. Would you like to come?”
“Your mom hates me,” you said sadly. Nanami frowned. His mother continuously talk down about you and she never hid that when you were around. Your father was known for his drinking and gambling. And she believes that you were just like him.
“I’m sorry,” he said softly. “My father loves you.”
“I like him too.”
“Come with me to Denmark one day. He’s dying to meet you.”
“I will one day. You must be tired though.” Nanami shook his head, fighting the yawn trying to escape. “Get some rest, Kento.” Nanami hugged you, his head resting on top of yours. You can feel him shake his head to a disagreement.
“I missed you so much, sweetheart. Soon enough, I’ll be away to college.” That was the thought you shoved away in the back of your mind every day. You would have a year left without him. And by next year, you’ll join him.
“Have you applied to any universities?” you asked curiously. You pulled away from his hold slightly.
“Tokyo University,” he said. “You want to go there too and I know you’ll get accepted. We can be together again after you finish high school.” You felt your heart race with happiness.
“You have to at least apply to other schools. Even if it’s just for fun.”
“My mother forced me to apply to Oxford, Princeton, Harvard, and even Stanford University.”
“Did you hear back from them?” Nanami quickly shook his head. “Well you should consider them too, Kento. You get to go to another country! I’d be so jealous but so happy for you if you decide to go that route.” Nanami’s heart swelled with joy. He held your hand tightly and placed it on his chest.
“I love you so much, sweetheart,” he said. You could feel that his heart was racing just as fast as yours. “I’ll think about it, love. Is that alright?” You nodded happily.
“I’ll even apply out of the country.” Nanami chuckled.
“Then, I’m really going to consider it.” The two of you were walking around the neighborhood. “I’m going to get a job in the city and rent an apartment. Then, if you want, you can move in with me. I’ll support us both if you don’t want to work yet or at all. It doesn’t matter to me.”
“I’ll work. We can support each other. We can go to campus together and at the end of the day, we get to catch up and talk about our day.” He watched your smiled widen and you looked at him with so much joy. “Kento! I’m so excited for this to happen.” Nanami couldn’t help but let out a chuckle.
“I’m excited too, sweetheart.”
“I’ll make sure to arrive there the moment the graduation ceremony is over,” you said. “Actually, I won’t even go to the ceremony. I’ll pack my things and go straight to you. And I’ll settle in and you get to show me around Tokyo.”
“I’ll save the exploration with you,” he said. “I want to get lost there with you, too.” You blushed.
“I would prefer that, too.”
“And I want to marry you one day,” he said. “I’ll propose in the way I think you would want to be proposed. We can have a small wedding or just have a courthouse wedding, just as long as I see you in a white dress.”
“What else would we do, Kento?”
“We establish our jobs, travel, and when we’re ready, we’ll build a happy family. What do you think, love?”
“I think it’s beautiful. Just having a future with you is just beautiful and wonderful.”
Nanami kissed the top of your hand again. He lead you back to your meeting point with him. He kissed you softly on the lips and you held onto him tightly.
“Sweetheart, promise me that we’ll get married one day,” he said. You couldn’t ignore the fluttering feeling in your stomach. The idea made you excited but scared at the same time. It was the same for Nanami. He was worried that he was being too much.
“I promise.” And when you promised him, he kissed you again and again and again. You laughed in between the kisses. “Let me know when you arrive home safe.”
“You as well,” he said. He was very hesitant in letting you go. “I’ll see you tomorrow after dinner.” You nodded.
“I love you, Kento.”
“I love you too, sweetheart.”
With one last kiss, you two parted. He watched your figure disappear before he turned around to go home. He stuffed his hands in his pocket and pulled out a small ring with a small diamond. It wasn’t much, but it was all he could afford. He knew he was crazy but the crazy thoughts only made him happier.
Soon.
You squinted your eyes at headlights by your house. You grew nervous, ready to make a run for it. The person got out and you saw Nanami’s mom exiting the car. You raised an eyebrow as she walked towards you. You bowed and greeted her. But all she did was look at you like you were nothing. She just looked at you with anger in her eyes.
“Because of you, my son declined Harvard and Oxford,” she said angrily. “He can be number one in the world yet he keeps choosing a low-life like you.”
“I’m not keeping him away from anything,” you said. “Kento has the will to go any—“ The sharp pain from her slap made you stop. You stopped letting it affect you, no matter how sad you were that his own mother loathes you.
“I’m proud of my son. I’m so proud in everything he does, except for his choice in women,” she spat. You coldly stare at her. “He’ll leave you. Once he’s out of high school, he’s going to learn that there are more options for him out there. Maybe someone with a better background and more beautiful.”
“Kento and I are happy, ma’am.”
“For now he is. It won’t last long, dear. Kento is an ambitious man. And all you’ll do is weigh him down. Think about the things that he could achieve without you around. Don’t be selfish.” And with that, she left.
Despite the cold, you didn’t bother to go back inside. For the last two years, you tried so hard to not let your insecurities get the best of you. But it always hit you if you were the reason for Nanami’s downfall. You can feel your body numb, more from your own thoughts than the actual cold.
“Get the hell back in the house.” You looked up, your father drunk as he pointed back inside. “God, didn’t even realize you walked outside. Fucking crazy. It’s fucking cold.” You stood up and walked inside. You put everything away before running up the stairs to lie back down in bed.
You held on to the pendant of your necklace, something you like to do when Nanami wasn’t around. It helped you feel as if he’s really there. And it always calmed you down. And thinking about your future with him brought a smile to your face. You slowly closed your eyes and fell asleep.
You laid in bed with Nanami. His mother was out of town for a week. The two of you took advantage of it and you slept over at his house. It’s been a month since you had a talk with his mother. You finally told him and all he could do was apologize for lying about not hearing about the schools.
“I’m not angry or upset about it,” you said and turned to your side to face him. You covered your body warm with the comforter and Nanami caressed your hair. “But your mother…”
“Don’t mind her,” he said. “She’s the selfish one.”
“And I’m not? Because I will be bummed out if you choose to go to America,” you confessed shyly. Nanami chuckled.
“And if I do choose that route, not saying I am, you’ll still join?”
“Of course. It’s just scary. The idea of going to another country. I don’t even think my English is that good.”
“It’s just your accent,” he said. “I love it. You sound adorable.” You blushed. “So, do you know what you want to do in the future?” You frowned and shook your head.
“Pathetic huh?” Nanami pulled you close to him. His soft lips were planted on your forehead.
“Not at all. You have time, sweetheart. Take your time.” You nodded, snuggling closer to him. Nanami kissed your forehead again. He slightly turned around and opened the drawer of his night table. “Remember when you promised to marry me a month ago?”
“I do. I still hold on to that promise if that’s what you’re wondering.” Nanami chuckled. You felt him hold your hand and you can feel something go down your ring finger.
“Good,” he said. He raised your hand and you stared at the ring with a smile. “That’s the promise.”
“Kento…A-Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure,” he said softly. “There’s no one else but you. There won’t be anyone else but you. You’re the one, my love.” You let the happiness of your tears escape your eyes. You never felt so happy. And you hope that it’s all true. That it all remains true.
You sat up from bed and untied the orange and black braided chord that you typically keep around your wrist. You held on to Nanami’s wrist, wrapping and tying the chord.
“There, you’re not allowed to take that one off,” you said proudly. “It was my mom’s. So take good care of it, okay?”
“I promise, sweetheart.” He pulled you back down to bed so he could hold you closely. Your head rested on his chest.
“You know I cherish moments like this?” you asked. You looked up with your eyes and saw him smile.
“You know that I do as well?”
“I promise that I’ll be the woman that you deserve for the rest of your life.”
“You already are, my love.” His fingers laid under your chin so you would look up at him. He leaned in and kissed you again. “Remember to not let anyone ever make you look down on yourself. You are a wonderful, sweet, selfless person. Everything that you are, I love. Everything that you’ll become, I will love.”
“I won’t forget, Kento.” A long yawn escaped your lips. Nanami got out of bed and turned off the light switch. When he got back to bed, he held you close and tight, giving you a kiss, I love you, and sweet dreams.
Nanami always gave you a sweet kiss goodbye before you went to class. You ignored everyone who envied your relationship. And you learned to let others in your life, at least you allow one of Nanami’s friends in. He was the nicest one.
“Nanami got out early,” Yu whispered in your ear. “I’ll bring your stuff out when class is over.” You nodded and left class, claiming that you’re going to the bathroom. You giggled. Nanami leaned back coolly by the lockers with his phone in hand. He looked at you and smiled. He pushed himself off the lockers and hugged you tightly.
“I could’ve waited for you, sweetheart,” he said.
“Haibara-san said he’ll bring my stuff to my locker,” you said.
“I like this rebellious side of you,” he said.
“You said you love everything about me.” Nanami chuckled.
“And I’m damn proud of it. So I was thinking that we go up to the mountains and stargaze. Sounds good?”
“I love it, Kento. When are we going?”
“Once Yu-kun comes over with your things. I got our food ordered and I even bought you spare clothes—“
“Kento, with what time did you—“
“I skipped last class for this.”
“I never took you for the type to skip classes.”
“Not until I have ideas to spend time with you,” he said. “It’s all worth it. The idea of being lost in the mountains with you sounds fun.”
“Sounds like you have another surprise,” you mention.
“You know me so well.” You couldn’t help but laugh.
“Kento, I don’t need anything else,” you said.
“I know but, I love you and I love giving to you.” You blushed. Nanami softly kissed your lips before pulling away to caress your cheek.
By evening, Nanami stopped by an open area. He placed a blanket on the ground for the two of you to sit on. He set up the food containers.
“I never thought we would stop walking,” you said. “This is fun though. Thank you for taking me, Kento.”
“I was worried you weren’t going to like it,” Nanami said nervously.
“You don’t ever have to worry,” you said. “I love spending time with you.”
“I’m glad. Is the food good?” You nodded. You pointed up at the starry sky.
“It’s beautiful,” you said. But Nanami didn’t look up. His eyes remained on you. Soft brown eyes studied your features so they remained engrained in his brain.
“You are,” he said softly. “Before I forget.” He rummaged in his backpack again and gave you a white envelope. “Open it when you get home.” Slowly, you held the envelope in your hand. You smiled and nodded, placing it inside your backpack.
“Okay, Kento,” you said. Nanami held your left hand, staring at the ring sitting in your finger. “It’s so pretty Kento.”
“I can’t wait to give you a ring that’s so beautiful.”
“I’ll be fine with a ring that’s cheap, you know.”
“I know but you deserve so much more. A valuable woman deserves valuable jewelry. I’m going to work so hard to earn a future for the both of us.”
“I never felt so excited for the future before,” you said. “I love this excitement.”
“I do, too. Come on, let’s get you back home.”
He held your hand tightly. You spoke nonstop about what you and Nanami can have in the future. Nanami listened with a smile on his face.
A home for the two of you to go to. Having each other for comfort while being the best of friends and lovers. You wanted a two-story home with a decent yard and a patio. You want the backyard to be a place for you and Nanami to spend time at, especially while watching your kids play around in. You emphasized so much on the backyard, and Nanami filled in with every other aspects of your future home. You would chuckle and nod.
“Oh! A large kitchen island with gray and white marbles granite and the sink on the island counter. Behind it will be the stove and oven. Microwave built in with the cabinets. Can we have a balcony for our room too? Or maybe a window seat! And we should have a sunroom, too.”
“You should draw an outline for this,” he said. “We can have the perfect home.”
“I don’t think it’ll be any good.”
“I’ll be the judge of that.” You smiled widely. “I’ve seen you draw. They’re really good.”
“You mean doodle?”
“Same thing, love,” he replied. You laughed and hugged his arm.
“Okay then. So, this is where we part.” Nanami nodded, a sad smile apparent on his face. The same sad smile he gives you every time you two part.
“I’ll see you tomorrow morning,” he said and kissed you on the lips. Soft yet passionate. More passionate than it has been before you two part for the night. But you weren’t going to argue. You love his kisses. “I love you, sweetheart.” He held his wrist up, showing the bracelet you gave him. You smiled widely.
“I love you too, Kento.” Your left hand holding the pendent and showing your ring. Nanami chuckled softly and kissed you one last time before watching your figure slowly disappear.
You kept your hand on your racing heart. Giggles escape your lips every now and then. This feeling you love to feel took over completely. You couldn’t wait for tomorrow. You couldn’t wait to read what Nanami wrote you.
“Get her!”
But the fantasy was gone. Your mouth was muffled from screaming and from the corner of your eyes, you watched your father walk in front of you. A large smirk was on his face.
“We’re moving, kiddo,” he said. Your eyes widened as you shook your head. “We’re leaving. You can finish high school anywhere. Besides, I got loads of money for someone that wants this house.” He looked at the two people with him, one of them covering your mouth. “Continue with her orders.”
“Yes sir.” You felt your arms and legs get tied up and you were thrown in the car with your things next to you. You heard a thud on the ground before you felt a cover over your mouth that muffled your screams and cries. Your eyes were covered so you had no idea where you were going. All you could think about was that you wouldn’t be able to see Nanami tomorrow. You felt your heart break.
Kento…
Nanami arrived home and found his mother sipping tea in the living room with classical music playing in the background.
“Mother,” he called as he put this things away.
“Ken. Where were you? I got another call from the school,” she said disappointedly.
“I wanted fresh air,” Nanami answered. “I’m already passing every class with flying colors. I don’t think my attendance is that necessary.”
“Stanford called. Will you be taking up on their offer?” Nanami shrugged.
“I’m waiting on Todai.”
“Kento! You have so much potential,” she said, anger seething through her tone.
“I can show my potential in Todai, mother,” he said. “I’m going to bed.” Immediately he left and went in his room. Despite his anger, he was in a bliss from you. He smiled widely as he lied in bed with his arms behind his head. All he could do was daydream about you and your life together in the future. “God, I love you so much.”
As usual, he waited patiently by your locker. But he continuously checked the time on his watch. He frowned. You were usually never this late to school. He heard the bell ring for the first warning that class was going to start. He stood there, waiting.
“Yo! Ready for class?” He turned around to see Haibara walking up to him with a smile on his face. But with Nanami’s frown, he frowned as well. “Maybe she’s sick?”
“She would’ve told me,” he said. “I’m skipping today. I’m going to her. We’ll meet up later?”
“Yeah, I’ll give you my notes. Let me know if she’s okay.”
“Thank you. I will.”
Nanami quickly walked out and headed to your house. He stood there quietly, staring at the home. He scanned around the area until he found something on the ground. He walked up to it and picked it up.
Your phone.
“No…”
He ran to the front door. The door was unlocked and his eyes widened when he went inside. It was quiet and appeared more empty than it should be. But maybe, he would find you in your room. So he ran upstairs, finding the bedroom that could resemble yours. But every room was empty. He stayed inside the small room with purple painted walls. He’s never been inside your room. And it says a lot about you. He found photos taped or hung on the wall. Sketches and doodles scattered on the floor. An unmade, purple and white bed. He walked over to the sketch of the two of you that you drew. He sat on the bed, looking at every photo you kept around. He smiled, holding it tightly in his hand to fight the tears that are dying to escape.
He wasn’t stupid. He caught the weird smirk on his mother’s face, but didn’t think too much about it.
“I’m going to find you, sweetheart,” he said. “I swear to freaking god, I’m getting you back.”
You didn’t know where you were. You sat alone in your new bedroom. All new furniture filled the room. Your clothes and necessities sitting inside bags that were thrown in your room. You quietly gasped, and rummaged through your backpack for the envelope. You sat on the floor, your back against the bed as you opened the envelope that Nanami gave you.
I always tell you how much I love you and cherish you. Now I’ll tell you in writing, that way if you ever forget how special and amazing you are, you can read it here from me.
You are so breathtakingly beautiful. You don’t think you’re smart, but you’re one of the smartest woman I know. You don’t think you’re brave, but everything you’ve been through shows how brave you truly are. Your strength gives me strength. I get motivated because of you. You give me a purpose in life and believe it when I say that you make me the happiest man alive.
And the idea of being away from you for a year honestly kills me. So, when I graduate, come to Tokyo with me. Finish your last year of high school there while I start my freshman year of college. I found apartments that we can afford. I found jobs that can sustain the two of us, plus my father is willing to help. But I’ll try not to get his help unless there’s an emergency. Think about it and let me know, my love. I will respect any decision. If you don’t want to yet, I’ll wait for you. If you come, I’m here with open arms. I love you, sweetheart.
Your tears wet the letter. You feel the weight growing heavier and heavier on your chest. You hugged your knees tightly to your chest and held on to the letter for your dear life. You cried and cried, feeling as if you’re going rock bottom for the first time in your life.
