I am super proud of this role-play response i did for a tim and brian post-mh encounter, if given permission i can post the whole thing (or at least just my responses if you want) I was just really proud of this one. I know my writing isn’t the absolute best, I am no author, but I was told by a certain someone that I should share my writing and not downplay my work, because this is my own characterization and how I see them. thats all that matters

" . . I don’t know. " Was all the confirmation Tim needed.

Brian was gazing into the eyes of death. It was like staring down a loaded shotgun, or teetering on a fence post, letting the wind guide which way you fall.

What a wasted life, he had so much going for him. Good grades, a wonderful social life, friends, a family, all of which he probably doesn’t remember anymore. All because of you.

A breath hitched in Tim’s throat, his grip tightening with the little strength he had left.

You did this.

If you weren’t so selfish, picking from a pot you were never even supposed to touch, maybe he would’ve lived.

His grip loosens slightly, a tense silence blanketing them both. Tim’s doe browns flicker over the other’s face while a warmth huddles under his heavy eyes. " Where did you go? " Tim whispers, unable to speak up enough to break the tension.

His free hand slowly breaks its still stature and hesitantly reaches up to the side of Brian’s face.

The shattered porcelain of what used to be a mother’s child is met with the killer’s hand.

Ever so lightly grazing over the disturbingly cold skin. Light enough of a touch so Brian could pull away if he needed to. It then plants itself below the cracks, his touch deliberate and cautious. Fearing too much pressure would destroy the fragile husk of what remained.

" Who .. or what did this to you? “ Tim’s voice sounded almost forced, the words barely making it past his lips. An invisible hand had gripped his trachea with all its might, trying to silence him. Telling him to not go any further, trying to coax him into returning to the fog in his mind. A place where there were no monsters, no fear, and no Brian. Tim harshly refused, causing the grip to loosen some. A pressure still caught on his Adam's apple.

Tim’s thumb brushed over Brian’s cheek, a feeling Brian couldn’t possibly remember from their time in college. When he fell asleep in his arms Tim got to feel the soft skin of his cheeks for the first time, which were now tough, pale, and clammy. Like a decaying corpse.

But only this time, the corpse was decaying from the inside out.

Taking everything meaningful, and leaving the rest as a punishment for the one at fault.
