“No way, this is not happening” Tim couldn’t believe it, his soul mate was Lilli, the 18 year old younger sister of Basch. He kept discreetly checking his wrist in the hope he was mistaken, but it the number was clearly 00:00:00 and wasn’t changing no matter how often he looked.
It wasn’t that he didn’t like Lilli, no not at all. She was a sweet girl, very caring, and polite. She hadn’t gone to waste because of the apocalypse, which he was very grateful for. But she was so young, too young. He couldn’t accept it, he shouldn’t. He was silently praying that only his watch had hit zero and she would find her won soul mate which wasn’t him. He could live in denial, away from her.

00:00:00 (if this is still okay, sorry I've been busy)
((Of course it is :D and everyone is busy ever so often don’t be sorry))
Tim had seen the girl around camp, mostly from the side of his eyes, but had never spoken to her. And if he had paid attention to his wristed he would have noticed that his timer had been jumping up and down since he had joined the community. Still nothing would have prepared him for what he felt when he looked in her eyes the moment she had walked up to him during one of his guard shift.
Her eyes were a dull kind of green, which seemed to have lost their shine during the apocalypse, but that didn’t stop his heart from skipping a beat, or twenty. How he wished he could make those eyes shine again. Her lips where a nice rosy colour and he would give anything see a smile from her, a meant smile which would light up her whole face and being. He just knew she could shine bright like all the starts did at night. A kind soul which the caring heart of a mother. She was just so beautiful and breath taking to him. Oh he had fallen hard and he didn’t have the will or energy to fight it.

His parents had made it clear to Tim and his sibling how wonderful it was to meet you soul mate but that it sure wasn’t a cakewalk. His mother talking about the jumps her watch would make and the surprise she had felt when meeting their father, she admitted that she had felt disappointed with his looks after the shock was over and had been a bit jealous of her friends. It had taken her quite some time for fully fall for their fathers charm and accept that he was her soul mate. His father had been far less interested in his watch and just lived his life until he had met their mother, a quick look at his watch to conform his suspicious. He had been completely smitten with her from the first look.
Sanne had always paid close attention to her watch and possible people, hers jumping just as much as their mothers had. Tim had paid hardly any attention to his watch, occasionally looking at it when he would be showering. When the zombie virus broke out he had expected his watch to flat line like it had with so many others. But it kept ticking down just as it had all those years before. He had accepted that his watch hadn’t stopped ticking after 3 years into the apocalypse. He reasoned that his soul mate just had to be someone that could take care of themselves, which he didn’t mind at all.
What he hadn’t expected was that his surviving soul mates was a 27 year old Chinese man who looked like a hobo with a van which had way to many encounters with zombies. Just his luck. Guess he did have some things in common with his mother regarding the watch. “Do you need to be so giddy” a frown had set on his face and irritation had slipped its way into his voice and face. Tim now really wished his watch had just flat lined all those years ago.

He was starting to wonder what happened when she had been armed with a rifle because she seemed really lost. “Let’s start with filling the gun with ammo” it was nice and all to know how to shoot but it would be completely useless if you didn’t know how to use a gun besides pulling a trigger correctly. He handed her a pack of ammo and opened his own gun to check the amount he had. He knew it was still filled, he hadn’t used it since this morning before his shift started when he had filled it but it would give her a bit of an example to open it for her to fill her own. He wasn’t sure if she knew it at all and he was going to teach her how if she didn’t know but he wanted to figure out how much she did know.
Shooting training
She watched him rummage through the weapons they had in stock, arms crossed and fidgeting as she awaited the weapon in small anticipation. She’d shot before, she could do it… no reason to be nervous. This was more working on her aim as opposed to learning how to shoot it… okay, okay, it was about that too. If Emma was going to work on her aim, she might as well learn how to learn it properly. She nodded as he presented her the handgun before taking it into her palms.
She was quick to follow behind him and follow his lead. Tim seemed good and well to know what he was doing. For that, she was thankful. The walk over to the shooting area was quiet. She’d opened her mouth to speak a few times but found herself at a loss of words. Emma merely sighed as she attempted to keep up with his quick stride. She thought to herself of doing something nice for the Dutchman, to thank him for what he was about to do. Her options of what to do for him though were very limited as… well, it wasn’t like she could go bake him something or really had anything to give. Emma would find something though to thank him. “So…” She finally spoke as they had reached the shooting area. “How do I start? Is there a stance I need to get into or… I’m sorry, I really am clueless.”
#Sorry for the late reply#And so short too#You don’t need to change it#Just so you know the Dutch version :P#You know someone who speaks Dutch?#And to far back in the throat? Must have been the harsh words with the harsh G#Dutch is pretty neutral for the mouth French is at the tip and English is more in the back so is German.#And being a native English speaker give problems yes for example with French but so is it the other way around#I tried a couple of Russian words Failed horrible I can’t make the right sound.#Shooting training#verwelkttulipe#RP#TimvandenLeeuwen

Hey Timmy! Can I call you Timmy? Leon found some puppies just outside the community so we're going to try and rescue them... but you can't tell anyone else about it, alright?
[Slightly irritated by the nickname] Whatever, just don't get caught. And find a place for them to stay that is not our room [Living room is fine to him]

During their walk toward the Storage room he had almost though he had lost her because she wasn’t making any sound. He had been surprised by her answer but didn’t show it in his face. He had already decided on teacher her how to use a handgun so for rifle training she should ask someone else. “For rifle training you should go to Basch” maybe Lilli would work better for the nervous Emma but he wasn’t sure how well the little girl was with a rifle himself. “I’ll be teaching you how to use the most basic rules of arming a handgun” He picked up an extra handgun and enough ammo for the two of them. “Here” he closed the door to the storage room and handed her the gun he kept the ammo himself.
He took off toward the shooting area in the same fast pace as before. He wondered if she even knew how to refile the gun and about the lock. All guns were in lock position when stored to prevent untrained people from firing away, hurting people around then and themselves, and wasting ammo and resources for nothing. Upon arriving Tim noticed that the shooting area was empty of people. Which was a good thing in his opinion, he preferred it this way, and less factors to make Emma nervous, or so he hoped.
Shooting training
She truly didn’t mean to ramble on and on to the poor guard assisting her, it was just an unfortunate nervous habit of her’s she just couldn’t seem to shake. Emma used to not be so jump-y and timid before all of this began. No, no, she was rather confident and could easily go and confront someone. But now… now was different from those days long since past. She wasn’t sure of who she could trust and was fearful of not only what the undead were capable of but the living as well. When it came down to it, the living could be the true monsters of this situation they were all thrown into. Emma was already exercising a lot of trust into Tim…not that she didn’t trust him per say, it was a general trust issue she had from horrible past experiences.
It didn’t seem to take long for them to reach the storage room, Tim being silent as ever. He really didn’t talk much… perhaps Emma should just mostly keep silent around him. The tall man seemed to enjoy that. Her eyes darted about the room, taking in all the weapons the Community had had stored up. It was a lot… plenty enough to keep them all well protected if there were, say, a breach in their walls. Emma kept to standing in the door frame, not sure if she was permitted to enter. “Hm?” She hummed to his question. “I don’t think so… maybe? I’m sure during the last shelter I was at, I used a rifle when it all came down… I’m open to using a hand gun though if that’s what you’re willing to teach me.”

“Yes also take some blueberry’s, oranges, and pears” Usefull for the lutein, zeaxanthin, Beta-cryptoxanthin, folate equivalents and the amount of water they possessed. Some might call it trivial information, especially in these circumstances but not to Tim. It had help him a great deal during his time on the run. Most seemed to think health was something on the back burner and that survival was the most important thing, not realizing that they are woolen together. To survival one needed to be quick and focused and for that one needed to be healthy. A cold could be enough to kill, either by hindering the escape, alerting the zombie of their presence or being having no immune system, meaning the virus could easier infect oneself. And maybe his sister’s cold played a small part in his behavior right now. He had lost his sister to poor health and he didn’t hope to see it happen to someone else.
Tim remembered that Basch had probably never been here “Blueberries are over there and the rest is closer to the apple trees” It’s shouldn’t be hard to find, they had around 10 trees. He went back to harvesting, there was no need for him to converse any longer with Basch. He figured Basch would enjoy small talk just as much as he did.
Garden visit
Basch had already picked a good handful of strawberries before Tim appeared beside him to place two apples into his basket. He looked at the fruit, then slid his eyes up to the tall blond. The point about not monopolizing the strawberries made sense but… he wondered why the other was bothering to bring up health. It felt oddly considerate coming from a guy who gave the impression of being even more no-nonsense than Basch himself. Then again, the two guards had hardly talked to each other before. Basch took solo shifts whenever possible to avoid being stuck with someone else for hours at a time.
"Thanks," came the eventual word of gratitude, slow like he wasn’t sure if Tim had actually done him a favor. "I don’t plan on taking much more than this. Is there anything else that I could pick? Some citrus, maybe? Those are good for the immune system." He mused out loud, eyes scanning the garden. Lilli’s health was in the back of his mind; bringing back fresh fruit could serve as both a treat and a vitamin boost. But it honestly was Basch’s first prolonged visit to the place so he had no idea where anything was located.

So the rumors had been true, the sweet little girl was the trigger happy guard’s little sister. He was a bit jealous of Basch for being reunited with his sister. It reminded him of his little sister, how she would come and get him and his father from the garden, or how she loved making smoothies and other snacks for them while they were working. Laying in the sun, sunbathing or reading a book. She had loved trying to make new thing in the kitchen and having the rest of the family as guinea pigs to taste it. A frown made its way onto Tim his face. Thinking about the past did him no good and it didn’t matter anymore.
“Don’t only take strawberries” He walked over to Basch at put two apples in the basked “The variation is better for your health and it leaves some for the rest of the community” It wouldn’t be fair to have then take all the strawberries. Tim was sure other would want some too and the only ones who really had a monopoly on the food they produced where the cooks.
Garden visit
Basch stared passively at Tim after the man gave a sarcastic response. It was slightly deserved for asking such an obvious question but that didn’t stop him from wanting to roll his eyes a little.
He wordlessly turned around to seek the aforementioned basket when another question (not rhetorical this time, thank God) was postured at him. He threw Tim a look, wondering why he even cared who the strawberries were intended for. Maybe it was protocol, a way to ensure that no one person came to swipe more foodstuff than necessary. He’d prefer that to genuine curiosity, because genuine curiosity spelled the beginning of the kind of small talk that the Swiss never held much enthusiasm for.
"They’re for both of us," he answered truthfully, then continued walking until he found the berry bushes. He grabbed a basket, crouched down, and fastidiously studied the plant, trying to pick out the ripest strawberries.
