as we grow up, we're often encouraged to stop playing, to throw away or sell our toys and act our age. this can make letting yourself play again hard. i find that i collect my toys far more than i play with them so here's a list of ideas i came up with to encourage yourself to play:

lip sync to songs and have your stuffies "say" the words. (works well with songs from musicals, or songs that tell a story!)

have a tea party and share your food with your toys and stuffies

look after a stuffie: care for them as you would a baby, give them snuggles, help feed them with a bottle and tuck them in

act out a scene from a movie

or! make up your own story

play under the covers or in a quiet room where you feel safe

make your own toys, this can be with paper, felt or fabric (then they can be the perfect toy for you!)

look up activities on pinterest to try!

1. he always has a backpack full of your regression stuff!!

2. bandaids on him 25/8! you need a bandaid at any time? he’s ON it!!

3. loves putting on puppet shows!! fantasy? yes!! futuristic? yes!! any puppet show? he’s immediately gone to make the puppets and scenery!!

4. arts and crafts!!!! you two constantly get messy with glitter glue, glitter, markers and everything else!! you two will just be giggling and having so much fun >:3!

5. playgrounds!! so yes! he does have a daycare!! but! an outside playground? the possibilities are endless! he’d be super worried the entire time too!

6. he’s a very anxious cg i think! when he’s in places he’s unfamiliar with he’ll literally carry you, his top priority is you and you only

7. he 100% gets you one of those backpack leashes, i take n o criticism, especially!! if you’re a very chaotic toddler, he will freak out if you manage to get out of the backpack

8. moon is also with him watching over you, but he’s adding to the chaos and suns anxiety

9. packs your favorite lunches and he’ll do the cute shapes and designs depending on what food it is!

10. he has dance parties with you all the time !

11. moon sings you to sleep while sun holds you

12. he has you on a very strict nap/sleep schedule and he will n o t give in to letting you stay up late (he totally would)

13. loves just holding you, you could be playing blocks and he’d just be there, arms wrapped around you

14. he’s always laughing or just giggling when hanging out with you, he’s just so happy! and yes he’s a happy person to begin with b u t ! you make him like 10x happier!

15. is a master at hide and seek, but he always lets you win !

☼ they adjusts their mannerism whenever  they’re around kids

☼ like the ones who are sensitive to sounds, noises, textures… they observes all of it and adaptates

☼ talk slower if the kid has problems processing or smaller if the kid doesn’t like loud voices.

☼ they do that to adults and teenagers too

☼ any adult who calls them over to get their babies and children acquainted to them, they will gladly give them the biggest loving ‘welcome’ but analyzing everyone’s reaction

☼ i have a feeling sunny and moony sometimes knows a little too much… their advanced software capabilities are out of this world

☼ i feel they would pay attention to the kids who zone out too frequently

☼ they know the ones who zone out just because it happens to everyone but the ones who does this way too much and don’t seem to snap back anytime soon…

☼ sunny would straighten their legs a little just so they can have a more amplified vision of the daycare and spot those and calmly approach these kids

☼ would ground them by bringing fidgeting toys or roll pens and glues at them

☼ would get really anxious in these situations, ngl.

☼ sunny also has a special list that activates in their software that allows them to scan people’s faces so the information and special needs that one has and sunny observates, it’s already saved.

☼ whenever he encounters a kid with motion sickness for example, they would remember to stop said kid to go to a swing as they have a high risk to faint or feel uneasy so being safe is a high priority and parents are always at ease.

☼ kids who are hyperactive and can’t stay still even during night time hold a special place in the daycare along with a box full of therapeutic toys that are easy access to them.

☾ moony doesn’t mind kids getting up to pace around (quietly) or take the toys as long as they first wave their hands to warn moony first and wake up rested in the morning.

☼ dyslexic kids or kids who generally can't read properly? no problem whatsoever, sunny actually secretly LOVES to read and help interpretate for people as they got this secret love (and habit) from helping kids with their homework. as their parents are absent or can't teach and help.
