Spider snorts, hair falling all over his face and he needs to hold them away from his eyes with one hand because he is hanging down from a tree, secured against a branch with his legs, and Rex is on the ground. He regards her with a funny expression.

"Maybe! Maybe not! You did good you just need is a little practice! Come on. It's not that high??"

Spider twists in a fight against a tangle of vines and branches that poke into his hair, his neck cranes so that he can look over his shoulder toward where Addi stands "Hey! I got up here just fine, yeah?? You've seen it!"

The problem at hand, the problem that was really problematic right now, was that maybe most certainly he's gotten stuck trying to climb even higher.

Her arms were crossed as she looked up in complete bewilderment at the boy stuck in the tree. All she wanted to do that morning was go out for some fresh air -( well fresh air that was heavily filtered through the exopack, so as fresh as it could get ) - but he had to tag along. And any time, it seemed, that Spider tagged along, something was bound to go awry. At least it wasn’t happening to her, and it was kinda funny.

“ I thought the whole reason for your name was because you’re so proficient at climbing trees, Spider Monkey? ” She probed, absolutely not doing anything to aide in the boy’s distress. “ Maybe next time don’t go searching for utumauti before they fall from the canopy. ”

[ TOKEN ]  sender gives receiver a lucky charm before they go into battle .

The sketchbook is shut so fast that he can feel the air stir in front of him. Spider’s grin disappears into an exaggerated scowl. Not really offended but really stupid looking. “No kidding. Stingbat? You sure you don’t need those glasses? And hey! I can be VERY still if I want to!” His hands gesture into the air, then fold on his chest defensively. “I just don’t want to!” 

"Bet you don't want to draw me 'cuz you can’t draw nothing but your stuped plants. I saw no noses in that book!”

“Cool!” Spider seems to lean even closer to the sketches, eyes flick from one to another, these look not much unlike the ones in dr. Grace’s notes that he saw Kiri browse (they are all nice and polished, he could never do this) Though the comment about loreyu earns Addi a snort. He nudges her arm with the back of his hand. “That’s ‘cuz you move like hammerhead on shells madude” 

Spider sees one more page and his head tilts. “Another leaf? Is that all you draw? What about something else?” He grins then, backing off a step, index finger points at his face. “What about me? Wanna draw me??”

Addi feigned full offense and gasped at the personal slight. No one ever wanted to be compared to a hammerhead ‘rhino’ of all things.. but she also wasn’t going to argue with him. Loreyu were so sensitive to movement that no matter how careful she was, they always retracted when she got close enough; hammerhead on shells or no. 

She flipped through the pages with a dismissive gaze ( there really were a lot of leaves in here ) now that Spider’s appreciation for her art seemed to have come to an end. Then she snapped the book shut with a dramatic flare. “ Why would I wanna draw you? You’re ugly, ” she teased. “ I’d sooner draw a stingbat. Besides, do you even have the capacity to hold still long enough for me to draw your nose? ”
