He came back practically instantaneously as he died, but he wasn't really ...lucid? For a good few years, kinda in a hibernation or wandering aimlessly way. It's hard to rebuild an entire mind 🥲

I personally imagine the traveler left Liyue after being cleared of his death and getting the missing posters up as they didn't sign up for all that

This au is kinda just me saying "I'm going to create the most garbled version of the liyue chapter I can muster" and that's what happened.

The long and short of it is;

Our favorite dead harbinger never made the deal with Morax, Morax is actually killed during the rite, he comes back (because I can't be the only one who thinks he wouldn't have some sort of plan for that right?) and he uh. Messed it up. Badly.

He's stuck with his base self, no memories no worries ig? And he inevitably bumps into Baizhu (herb run poor guy) after whispers spread of some adeptus or odd person in the area. Baizhu instantly pieces together that the man has memory issues and that leads to him taking him back to the pharmacy.

Baizhu took him back to bubu pharmacy to help him, as all good doctors do, but also in hoping if he helps him it will aid him in his goal of immortality in some way. Changsheng feels he's familiar, so maybe that means hes important?

Anyways yadda yadda it's set up sort of as a domestic mystery where the qixing and the traveler are trying to figure out whodunit, the adeptus are confused why despite seeing their lords dead body they still feel his power, the two harbingers are annoyed they can't find the Gnosis, and Baizhu with the various people around him are wondering who this man truly is.

Ill be honest, I usually change a lot about an au after my first post, rather than Morax having a backup plan, it's moreso he didn't want to completely destroy liyue after he died so that power was shifted (gods literally explode, the law of energy or something) ((unfortunately that last minute shift was bringing him back and he wouldnt be pleased if he could remember))

This au messes with the continuity a lot as this takes place a few lantern rites after Morax's death. Given the fact that Signora wasn't able to make the deal before his death (delays, still need a reason as to why she wasn't in liyue at that point. Tragic)

All in all a lot of things end up changing and shifting around ^^

Okay so- I know this might be canon inaccurate or may be sort of rewriting some stuff but who cares because the wiki said there were multiple previous elemental masters

I haven't figured out a name yet (allowing suggestions) but I created this guy! He's the elemental master of ice who comes two people before Zane

Basically I made a canon reason to explain more indepth what happened with the whole ice emperor thing. In this idea/au elemental masters often share similarities with those before them. It can be genetic, emotional, or even life-wise. Soooo story time:

This character was often alone most of his life until he was given his ice element and met the other elemental masters. Ninjago often tackles themes of fate or sees things as predestined (Lloyd being the green ninja, constant visions, ect.) 

This character was seen by fate to turn 'evil'. While their sensei tried to keep it hidden in order to protect him in due time it came to light. He was shocked and horrified that he would become like the very monsters he fought, and the other elementals were distained. How could their friend, their brother do something so horrible?? They casted him aside and told him to 'give you element to someone who's worthy.' 

Before their Sensei could talk to him, he left. No home and no family to turn to, he only had his element. He cursed fate, he cursed his powers, yet never was he able to hate those who he called a family. He trapped himself in his hate and self pity, creating a neverending blizzard. (Birchwood Forest) This inevitably caused people to have to move, or be inflicted with serious illness.

He surrounded himself with nothing but cold, hardly a ninja nor an emperor. Years he sustained himself in that way until a voice asked him "Why do you only blame yourself, is it not the others who pushed you to this?" Days would go by and he'd reply the same "I can only hold fate responsible" until he couldn't anymore. He didn't harbour rage torwards them, but it was an empty feeling. All consuming until there was nothing more of him. 

Left with nothing, left all alone in his self made blizzard, he asked himself one final thought as the man he used to be. "Why should I hold their opinions so dear, when my emotions mean so little?"

And so he left, his resolution iron and his will frozen, like the cold he had always known.

....and that's all I have right now! This is sort of my "fix it but also mess things up" this is meant to expand on a few things: 

1) Zane becoming the ice emperor, despite it being manipulation it all felt too easy for me, just because he lost his memories doesn't mean he'd instantly be okay with Vex's plans. I feel like this idea expands on it as more of a spiritual thing, like he was connecting with a past user.

2) Wu's kinda favoritism towards Zane, I get why but stilllll, dude definitely picks favorites. Maybe after what happened with the past ice master he learned to be more attentive to his students.

3) Not really an explanation but I thought the connection to Birchwood Forest would make it more interesting, plus it could explain those tree monsters

My brain is thinking of an au where cyno accidentally uses a knowledge capsule and the memory has alludes to the greater lord so he goes down a rabbit hole while everyone else is concerned as to why he hasn't talked to him in a month.

Cyno: *jus doing his mission and accidentally knocks over the illegal knowledge capsule*

Cyno: *picks it up*

/cue the start of a mission to figure out stuff about someone erased from history/

YEP I'm actually just imagining Neuvillette (kindly) being taken into custody, and Furina finally finding the final piece for preventing the prophecy and he just. Doesn't like her. (Humans in general but she doesn't know that 😭)

Furina, internally: *the prophecy can finally be prevented! After so long I've found him! We can save all these people, he must already know about it given he's the hydro dragon-*

Furina: It's nice to meet you! It must be quite a pleasure for you too, getting to meet the hydro archon Focalors, like this!

Idk I've been having some Neuvillette hyperfixations off and on and this is what my mind came up with, an au for our favorite dragon:

Basicallyyyy this all starts pre-job. He's new to this world, he knows how people look at him with hatred and distain but he tries to push past it and fit in. After an extremely horrible/hostile encounter he finds himself unable to feel safe in the city of fontaine, or anywhere humans are to be specific.

His hatred towards humans isn't one of disgust but fear, he's afraid they'll hate him or give him the same look those people back then did. This leads to him leaving his job/the city and eventually living in Merusea Village, with the only people he feels will accept him.

This obviously has some affects on fontaine, starting with:

Focalors plan. She needs to find the hydro dragon to determine the final verdict and fast. The guards are already on the lookout for him, for an unknown reason to them, at the archons request

Justice in Fontaine. Obviously the Oractrice is still giving out correct verdicts but shady happenings are occuring with their judges. Signs of bias and prejudice remain giving some citizens doubt in their system

Furina has less support and is more *extra* trying anything to find this mysterious hydro dragon to save her people

And that's just a few, but things soon change when one of the melusines needs someone to help escort her to a medical check up

"Caleb"!AU

Okay so basically because Hunter canonically looks the closest to Caleb I used that as a basis to give him suffering. (I took some creative liberties with this au)

In this au our horrible boi Phillip isn't very good about not talking about his brother, and let's a few things slip to hunter VERY early on in his childhood (namely "I have a brother named Caleb" and "hes a witch kisser smh and i killed him but i kinda not really regret it")

This is also around the time belos starts getting impatient with hunters failures and decides to physically punish him (remember how bad belos punishments are) so what does Hunter do? Using both the fact that he realizes early on his uncle isn't a good person, but also the only person he has that "cares" about him, he acts like his dead brother. To avoid being brutally punished.

At first the action takes belos off guard and he feels far too guilty/conflicted with what he did to Caleb to go through with it. This causes a new relationship to form between them, even more toxic. Hunter uses the act of "Caleb" to both calm down his uncles curse, and to protect himself from brutal punishment, while belos continues to treat him like his dead brother and delude himself just to lessen what he refuses to see as guilt.

This creates a both the mask of Caleb, the Golden Guard, and just Hunter. I also took the creative liberty that nobody knows Hunter is a teen. He doesn't talk a lot because of the issues he has at home. He's still kinda bratty and like he is in canon, but it's not quickly seen by his quietness.

There's a lot of places I can choose to make this au go but I don't really know

They set up so many opportunities for hacked/possessed Zane to happen and we STILL DONT have him as one of those villains. "Oh well ice emperor" NO. THAT WASN'T HACKING that was just some sore loser who manipulated Zane into doing his sh1t.

Overlord!PossessedZane Au

This Au is kinda one I've had for a long time, but it's been mostly just in my head. (It's a kinda old) Basically:

This Au is the aftermath of Zane's first death. This one takes place during the tournament of elements. The overlord, knowing it's going to lose, swaps consciousness over to Zanes body at the last second, escaping the scene while the ninja are left grappling with the fact they think he's gone.

Zane doesn't have enough power to stay conscious during, and a while after the overlords switch. Along with that, the overlord is stuck in a kinda destroyed body, and messed up code. This leads him to getting caught by some people sent by Chen. With heavy injuries, and no technology near, he is easily defeated.

This leads him to the ✨Island✨ Chen needs Zane there so he can lure in the ninja, and the OL needs internet access to continue his work, which leads to a deal. The OL can't access the network from the island because it's all on Chen's own private network. Chen would help him in his goals (haha he's lying to you bro) in return for his cooperation. So basically:

The Overlord in Zane's body joins the Tournament of Elements disguised, slowly hacking into more and more of Zanes systems and being able to use his element more, the Ninja just want their friend back not knowing one of the foes they are facing is the very man, and Zane is fighting to keep control in a body that is slowly having its files deleted and corrupted by the very thing he died to destroy.

This is a really old au, I've added some stuff and changed a bit, if you've heard some of this before on Amino or in a small fic it was probably me. I might do some more art

Ok here we go:

1) I think during the Camping/training arc (I think that's what it's called I can't remember) he has to choose between helping the lov, or uncovering who he is and helping his friends. He trys to do both, but mostly ends up helping the lov

2) he doesn't get found out on his own terms, as they're leaving via the portal they see tenya leaving with them. They then tell the police/teachers.

3) he was planning on sharing the stuff he had found and telling them the truth once he got something concrete but he kept learning more and more, so he kept forgetting to.

4) he sneaks out mostly through windows, sneaking around Jaku has helped him out with his camera avoiding skills

5) he does tell his parents he got a night shift, but he tells them it's fast food, and only for 4 hours rather than the 8

6) I'd think yes, if it's the hero route, I see this au as having both a villain and a hero route

7) the nomus freak him out, sure, but he's sympathetic with them. He knows how they're made, and who they were so he's not so much scared as he is pitiful for them. He trys to avoid attacking them, rather opting for restraining/avoiding them if he can

8) he breaks down at least once, it's a mix between both acts too, so he kinda comes off as insane. But he's not. He just is tired and is struggling to keep track of what he can and can't say. I think it would be in front of midnight, given her nature.

9) NOT WELL AT ALL. Ok first peers: they think he's the UA traitor at first, they're hurt and confused. When they follow the trail he left behind, (one of his work shirts they get from his room) they start to slowly realize he's not the villain they thought he was. Also Tensei- oh hell it gets bad. He finds out because Tenya is put on the news as a terrorist/UA traitor. He joins the investigation and when their paths eventually intersect he completely breaks down at him. He can't believe the brother, the person he once cared for and knew would do something so horrible. And tenya just has to stand there and take it. Because the villains Tensei is claiming Tenya is are right there. That basically breaks him. At this point it can either go the villain or the hero route. Either way Tensei eventually finds out after their confrontation from the dekusquad that Tenya isn't a villain. (At least at first) (maybe who knows)

Ok so by the title you can probably tell that I have little faith in my Aus. So here we go:

Basically Tenya as the Lov/Jaku Traitor. [wait! That doesn't make sense!?] I feel UA traitor stuff is really overdone, so basically after his teacher (I'm one of those "ooo tensei was friends with his teachers and they hung out with tenya as a kid!" people) is almost killed at the USJ incident, Tenya says: Ayo thats not right, and starts looking heavily into them.

This eventually leads him to Jaku Hospital. Questioning whether he should really get involved in something this serious, he gives himself time to ponder it. Then his brother is almost killed. And all sh1t hits the fan. Tenya jumps the gun, and fast. Hearing the rumors of the hero killer and the lov somehow working together (not quite true bro) he fakes his personal information and goes undercover as a maintenance worker at the hospital. Finding out horrors, secrets, and tragedies galore, how will he get himself and those close to him out of the mess the lov and he himself made?

Not only that, Pretending that everything was fine when his brother was attacked was one thing, but keeping up a malicious act around those you wish to deceive also seems to bleed into his hero life too....

But hey, maybe he does make a better villain than a hero?

2) He has a bunch of oil stains, and god knows what else on him at all times from repairs

3) His hat hair is insane

4) He wear contacts and hides a lot of his hair with the hat, but the contacts make his eyes itch and he just generally struggles with them.

5) :)) because of his lack of sleep, and odd behavior the UA staff start to suspect he's the UA traitor.

6) Tenya finds himself slipping. Different acts, whether it being the one that everything is fine at school, or the malicious and heartless act he puts on at his job, they bleed together sometimes at school, where he feels the safest. He's tired. Everything hurts. He's constantly working or exercising or studying. He's starting to slip, and he knows it. But he can't stop, not when he's so close

7) Aizawa first catches on that Tenya is hiding something when he passes out one time during gym. Tenya is a straight laced student, so he of all people would get an adequate amount of sleep. Not only that, but he made excuses, something that the kid he knows wouldn't do.
