Random thoughts—>

I think it would be weird if Armand didn't have any friends. It's also terribly unfair, considering Amalia is popular in the kingdom, and also so adored by her father.

No matter how much emphasis we are given to the dislike of those around us for Armand. He should have his own support group anyway, even if it is relatively very small. Trite but... If he had been disliked by every bush in the kingdom..... His "short reign" joke would have been because of the revolution. Hah...

Besides, he's nothing like the fucking bastard the servants shun. In the first season, he seems quite bright and outgoing. Albeit with a hint of arrogance, he is also able to commiserate with others in a polite manner.

For example, he seems to get along well with little Adamai, in season two. The baby dragon even dared to complain to him about "big brother" problems. And Armand listened to him intently... (Watching as Grugol threatened to burn down the entire palace). It was a cute little moment that was easy to overlook. It wasn't necessarily some sort of friendly sympathy, though given some of the similarities between the two of them, that would be nice. In any case, it at least proves that Armand is familiar with politeness and empathy.

And Armand seems to particularly enjoy spending time in the company of his soldiers. Because they obviously have a lot of respect for him. I have headcanons related to this. And in my AU one of his best friends from childhood is the son of a general.

And I'd even love to see your rendition of the ship of this sadida soldier with Armand~ hehehe ( ͡º ꒳ ͡º)
