the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years

taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult

at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)

'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65

it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age

it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.

you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.

young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!

there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

my biggest achievement in life? Probably the 2021 lockdown that lasted 4 months and I hyperfixated so hard on the 2019 smash hit Ghar More Pardesiya by Shreya Ghoshal and Pritam, and taught myself the entire sargam break by listening to it on repeat and WRITING THE NOTES OUT bc there were no available lyrics online at the time. Yeah.

So I finally got back into Grey’s and the Catherine Fox villain arc is insane and diabolical. I love it.

So I finally decided to watch OC properly and not just the eps with Olivia. Here are my thoughts:

- This show is lowkey great. I love the Stabler/Bell dynamic so much. Also LOVE seeing a black woman as the boss 🫶🏾

- I do kinda wish it was more procedural like SVU but it could just be that I’m so used to things being resolved in one or two eps.

- I get that the Wheatley arc has to be elongated but like there’s a bit of fluff there that could be cut a little like some of the Angela stuff (love Tamara Taylor tho) it just seems a bit excessive. And they could probably have gotten through all the backstory of the Wheatley/Sinatra family in one episode and moved on tbh.

- love that they brought back the original Dickie and Kathleen but who tf are Maureen and Elizabeth? Why? Idk there’s probably a valid reason

- not enough Olivia but that’s just me being greedy hehe

- I’m still only on season one so I shall update once we get to S2

- LOVE the inclusion of Bernie what a queeennn!

- Also love that everyone’s favourite Stabler Kathleen is back. I missed her I hope they give her more screen time

- The abundance of SVU crossovers has me lightheaded

- The Flutura of it all?? (Side note: so many actors from L&O are in other cop universes and I love it)

- I didn’t actually know Olivia was so heavily featured in E5

- E5: and goddamnnn girl I can’t stop replaying the opening scene where they’re surveilling the party and my queen Jellivia did not come to play hunnyyyyy

- E5: I wish they had a scene where Olivia and Flutura interacted tho. Can I mean I hate women fighting over a man but ooft can you imagine how hot it would be if Captain Livvie Love arrested Undercover Girlfriend??? Girl I would pass out.

I think it’s kinda unrealistic that Gregory loves smoothies so much. As a picky eater myself, the thought of a bunch of fruits and stuff blended together and the texture it makes, makes me physically gag. Almost more than fruit salad does. I just can’t imagine that Gregory “boiled chicken sandwhich” Eddie is on board with this.
