Aerenn – Final Piece

This here’s the final piece of Aerenn. She’s part of what I call the Disaster Trio — my most destructive, chaotic, and carefree OCs across different stories. While each of their stories exist in separate worlds, they all connect back to a central “world of worlds” in my multiverse. Aerenn’s full story is still in progress, but this illustration really came together. I'm finally coming to understand what I want my style to look like and where I get my inspirations from. I particularly love the graphic look of Across the Spiderverse mixed with anime.

As per usual, this was experimental as all heck and I'm super happy with how it turned out🤗

This process also helped me develop several workflows for myself, so getting paintings done will be even easier, faster and more efficient now🤗.

This is Gunnhild Phoenix. Another one of my OCs.

I think it's best to just drop it here that I have about 6 different stories in the works, ALL IN THE SAME MULTIVERSE. I've been working on some of these stories as far back as 2013, so that's where all my OCs come from🤗🙏🏾

This is the first time I'm drawing Gunnhild digitally. Was a bit unsure of it, because I had to change and change certain things to make the piece cohesive but I'm happy with the overall results🤗 (AFTER sleeping and waking up to notice that 'Oh wow, this isn't actually crap' 👀😅)

I am also BEYOND 🥵 HAPPY that I finally nailed lighting and shading. Arigatou Naoki Saito-sensei😭😭😭😭😭. I didn't understand NOTHING from the sphere (the western way of learning shadow and light). If not for the Ichi-kage, Ni-kage, San-kage style (1st, 2nd and 3rd shadows style) (the Japanese way of learning shadow and light), I wouldn't get NOTHING and I'd still be pick individual shading and lighting colors for EVERY COLOR ON THE PIECE 😭😭😭. Here I only used 3 layers (one for each shadow) to shade and 2 layers for light, minus the lightning. USUALLY I COULD USE 5 TO 6 TO 7 OR MORE FOR BOTH SHADING AND LIGHTING.

So yeah😊

Hope y'all like it😁. I'm thinking of drawing more of the characters from her story with this same aesthetic 🤗
