SUMMARY:

“I imagine the Muggles spoiled you rotten?” A surprised laugh barks out of Harry. “Oh, Merlin, no,” he says, shaking his head in amusement. “Well, if you class being given a fifty pence piece as being spoiled, sure.” The thought is comical. The Dursleys, spoiling him rotten. They would be more likely to give him something rotten. The closest he’d ever gotten to being spoiled on Christmas at Privet Drive was being able to sneak a few rashers of bacon out of the pan for a sandwich, once they’d all headed into the living room to open their presents. Voldemort doesn’t seem to be as amused as him, though. He’s gone very still, and his grip around the stem of his glass has tightened.

Truce married to Voldemort in order to end the war, Harry doesn't expect much of their first Christmas together. Several days later, he's wholly surprised.

BOOMMMMMMM. The room rattles like a cage shaken by an angry God, or, perhaps, an enraged monster. Shouts break out, and Harry nearly falls over, only barely keeping himself upright and supported by the wall at his back. When the room settles, claggy clouds of smoke cover it, along with dust; Harry chokes on it and coughs. He can’t see anything, until he can. Red eyes, glowing ominously from afar through the grey haze. “Great,” Harry says. “As if enough people haven't tried to kill me today already.”

Held at wandpoint by the Ministry on spurious charges, Head Auror Potter is rescued by an unlikely saviour …

Except to everyone else, it’s really not unlikely at all.

“Harry.”

Immediately, Voldemort saw the muscle of his back tense under the brown skin. Harry turned around so quickly, his glasses slid down his nose and he pushed them up mechanically. His green eyes, so beautiful, found his, distrustful and defiant. Voldemort let his own shoulders relax now that he had Harry’s full attention. He crossed the room in two large strides and stopped at the foot of the bed. Harry fully turned around, keeping his legs crossed to hide his crotch and his hand searching for a wand. Voldemort could clearly see the holly lying on the bedside table, too far from Harry’s grip but he said nothing. He merely smirked and extended a hand. When his long fingers closed around Harry’s ankle, the young man froze and sent him a murderous glance. Something akin to fondness grew in Voldemort. Harry was cute when enraged.

“What do you want ?” he snapped, cold and distrustful.

Voldemort smiled even more.

“You, of course.”"

Writers, please submit your works to the AO3 Collection. Your piece will stay unrevealed at this time. Works will then be revealed by the event organisers on 24th December, and it's then that you'll be able to post about them publicly elsewhere.

Artists, you are welcome to submit your pieces to the AO3 Collection also but if you'd prefer to only post on socials, that's no problem! Please send your completed pieces to us via Tumblr message or Twitter DM within the submissions period, though, so we know that they're done and you're ready to post them on the 24th December.

How to post to the AO3 Collection

When you click on the link to the Collection above, you'll be presented with the Collection page. You'll need to find the 'Post to Collection button' (this is circled below and shows where it appears on mobile. If you're on desktop, the button will appear on the right hand side of the page).

Once you click the 'Post to Collection' button, you'll be presented with the usual AO3 posting form. Please complete this as you would any other work, but also find the 'Associations' section. If you've clicked to post to the Collection correctly, then the collection should automatically show in the Associations section as shown below:

As you can see in the example above, if you'd like to then you can also use the Gifting field to gift your submission to your giftee by inputting their AO3 username (if your giftee has chosen to pass their AO3 username over to us, then we'll send this to you shortly via DM). Don’t worry—as long as the work has been added to the Collection correctly as shown above, the details of the gift won’t show to your giftee until the Collection is unrevealed on the 24th December.

If you'd prefer to just mention who the work is gifted to in the work's notes, then that's fine also!

When you’ve completed the form, click ‘Post’ at the bottom and once we've approved your submission, you’ll see your work in the Collection marked as ‘Unrevealed’. You’re all set!

Important Note About Publication Dates:

AO3 will automatically list your work as being posted on the day you submit it to the Collection, which means that when the Collection is unrevealed on the 24th, your work will not automatically appear at the top of the Tomarry ship tag. In order for your piece to be seen in the first page of the tag as it would usually, please log on on the 24th, click 'Edit' on your work and alter your publication date in the 'Associations' section as shown below:

Please note that this can't be done in advance, as AO3 will not let you select a posting date in the future—it must be amended on the 24th or later. We'll remind you of this on the day, also.
