A while ago now Sam Drummond unexpectedly blitzed his artstation account resulting in the loss of a lot of Rise of the Titans and a bit of Wizards visual development. Some things we got lucky and were able to get hold of post and since it's related, decided to put them with something else. Anybody for what is dubbed "Morgana's Castle" interior?

We've had more information since so here's the funky text addition before all the artwork:

It's very possible Sean Murray created this when Morgana was causing more problems on purpose and running the show. At least, it makes the "Morgana's Throne Room" thing make an awful lot more sense. Anyway, behold!

The following are the now lost Sam Drummond works for the same area and looking incredibly snazzy as a result. Even got Morgana floating around it in for scale. It does say Morgana Architecture on one of these which tracks with the running theory as well.

Thanks to discord caching and not touching the original post can still see a little bit of the text that went with it:

These concepts are for the villain Morgana's throne room. The architecture was meant to be menacing and hostile. Somewhat demonic in nature.

Repurposed for the Order being in the driving seat or not, it's still a really cool room. With that incarnation having the Order with a chunk of their power locked away makes sense she'd seize the opportunity for go big or go home. Glad it stuck to the end if repurposed!

88 Pictures have been one of the animation studios working on Tales of Arcadia since the beginning more or less, taking an increasing role after one collapsed and another was bought by Sony. For each part they did a demo reel to show off their work and this is the one for Wizards. Enjoy!

Flying Ship Design Path

Right lets get another of these moved over from twitter really really belatedly. Did actually leave this in drafts as got body slammed by exhaustion last week so uh thanks for leaving the text to do now past me. Coulda at least done the tags.

It's been said the initial idea for the flying ship was to be made of books. Unsurprisingly given the complexity of the idea, no matter how cool, is a bit of a budget killer. There's no known images of it though this Treasure Planet pose Douxie by Alfonso Blaas is probably the nearest we have.

This said we're rather lucky in that we can see another of the designs, one which is very Merlin-esque by Isaac Orloff. Understandable why it didn't go ahead but /look how snazzy this thing is! Fanart and fanfic writers please let it live on.

There is two variations of this artwork so confusingly the text is from the original tweet whereas the artwork is from his website which includes the blatant Merlin arm.

Previews continuing to hate me challenge level getting silly now.

For this humble Wednesday here is an amazing Trollhunters display by Daniel Ochoa Vanegas of Daniel Ochoa Diseñador Industrial! It was possibly for a site in Colombia given where he's based. Through the link is his pitch, what can best be described as the cut out decals and even a video of the display in all it's glory.

It's time for another of David Woo's fantastic sequence's and this one is from the Trollhunters episode, Homecoming in the form of Jim Vs. Nomura! The script is a smidge different from the final plus Gunmar golf claps in this which is hilarious. Scribd is embedded through the link and there's also a google drive PDF if you want to stash this as well.

I couldn't find it even in the artbook, although there is a model troll-beast form. I would really like to have model half-troll((

Only concept art! To date only his head and weirdly enough his head/neck/shoulders have been public for his 3D self, not even been an orthographic.

You say Camelot!Zoe reference and the only piece we have will be happily shared:

Interestingly this orthographic is labeled "Clerk" though it's unknown what that is about specifically. This was never uploaded to twitter, only Andy Murray's website so it was a nice surprise way back when.

In the final, you can see her crossing the Killahead bridge and very notably the only human.

Hello! I'm here to pose a question that's been bothering me to the archive master. My sister and I discovered recently that if you pause "Killahead Part 1" during the scene where Callista is chosen as the first Trollhunter, you can see Claire holding the shadowstaff!! (If I had screenshots, I would totally throw them in!) It's just in a few background shots where she's not the focus, but my mind was a little blown because storywise, it doesn't even make sense. Has there been any mention of a cut storyline or any reason for her to have the shadowstaff with her other than just a rendering mishap? Just curious.

P.S. thank you for keeping this archive going!! It always makes me extra happy to see that this fandom isn't dead yet.

Girl where did you get that. She's not holding it at the guard either but that's a minor point.

Given Camelot!Zoe survived in the final in any form I'm willing to bet you're right and that's something that was cut with traces surviving into the final shot. You don't accidentally give a character a prop that they're actively moving, it'd be a waste of resources. Other than that I got nothing! At no point in any of the Wizards tidbits we've had over the years has Claire having the stick again ever come up. Now I'm curious what's going on.

Unfortunately no, they nuked both it and the New Years one for all Dreamworks stuff for mystery reasons. While the New Years one appeared on vimeo pre the search region blocking, this was all managed to grab of the birthday one before it decayed:

Draal - Bular - Gunmar Design Path

Today we’re taking a look at the very funky design path that Draal, Bular and Gunmar went on during Trollhunters pieced together as best as possible through the power of file names, matching things and the artbook. The order of events is as accurate as I can guess as for understandable reasons I cannot see an exact timeline.

First up from one of Headless Studios’ posts we can see what is very definitely a purple Draal as I’ve been affectionately dubbing him looking a big brutal boy with Caveman Spongebob is also a frequent comparison.
