was thinking about fix-it fics where time travel shenanigans mean naruto gets to meet minato but how those never hit juuuust right with me because it's always pre-naruto minato who is in his early 20s and hasn't sufficiently cultivated a dadsona...... but hear me out. alt timeline minato crashes into canon timeline. au!minato lost both kushina AND baby naruto in the kyuubi attack. canon!naruto is like 7-8.

legally kakashi cant own a television because the sandaime knows if he ever found out about telenovelas and soap operas konoha would lose her best shinobi because that little loser would sit down to watch one episode and not be seen for weeks and when they finally drag him back out hes got an entire notebook filled with notes on the series to keep track of all the characters and plots but hes hatake kakashi so its written in 5 layers of code one of which he made up on the spot for giggles. and then halfway through the mission they find out he has a series od shadow clones still in his apartment doing thr exact same thing

on another another note. Listen I know everyone hates hiruzen and danzo but I still think fic of them being trained by Tobirama would be soooo funny. Bonus points for Danzo’s toxic pining, Hiruzen’s (apparent) obliviousness, Tobirama noticing their dynamic but thinking to himself “Well surely my students are smarter than falling into the common emotional traps of jealousy/power hunger/twisted love/etc that I lectured them about once five years ago. I’m sure this won’t be a problem.”
