I haven't pulled out paints or supplies in a long time, but this weekend I found some minis that I thought would be good stand-ins for some Star Wars mercenaries.

The wall and floor are crafts I threw together about 2 years ago, and the barricades are some SW Legion scatter I got for cheap (and so far the only Legion stuff I've picked up, but it's been tempting).

They're Reaper Bones, and I think Chronoscape line but I don't remember the model name.

Here's one more shot with some of the old WotC pre-painted minis.

A little hot water and careful application of an x-acto got it apart. There was a build up of plastic between the parts where the peg didn't seat properly.

Hasbro did send me a replacement, so I felt good about going in and taking this one apart. I'm actually going to paint before I reattach it. At least the underside of the cape and the back.

Well, looking for some advice. One of the minis in my copy of HeroQuest has a pretty egregious issue.

Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to detach the head/cape piece to clean up the connection?

Been picking away on this for about a year and a half. I just don’t see a way to keep it a reasonable size, so eff it, let’s go for it.

Hafodunos Hall (an abandoned mansion) in Llangernyw North Wales. This hall was a gothic revival house designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott for Henry Sandbach.

Gothic Revival architecture was a movement in the 19th century where admirers of this style tried to revive medieval gothic architecture.

The Sandbach family sold this mansion. It had many uses such as a private school for girls to an old people’s home that was later shut down.

In 2004 the house was destroyed by a fire leaving the mansion completely abandoned.

Primed and ready for painting. Overall happy. The next ones I will try to make them a little narrower on the front so that they look a little higher. I’m thinking about a ratio of about 1/3. I will also make the roof in a way so that the tiles will protrude on the facade, something I do for most of the buildings I make, but unfortunately I forgot here and it was too late for corrections.After I paint it, I can add more debris because now, without paint it looks quite clean.
