Oh, it's beautiful. I don't believe it.
Shelly...
I love you.

the core theme of the crow actually relates more to the unbreakable bonds of love and affection than violence which can be seen towards the end of the film when eric drags himself to shelly's grave for the last time. he is not triumphant or proud but instead relieved to be done with the job he was sent to complete. when he goes looking for those who wronged him he does not kill anyone else. he genuinely believes in the good of humanity--or at least he did. he never mentions crimes against himself only those against shelly. when other characters acknowledge what happened to him he ignores them. the only person he seeks out is sarah and she's the only one he says goodbye to. in a way eric only exists to act out shelly's final dying wishes. he turns himself into a dog to be pointed at a hand to bite gleefully.

What Eric Draven does with his eyebrows is the same thing as what a dog does with their ears
